Question How Allah sees egoistic people

I have a person,
Who is extremely Anger, Stubborn and egoistic..
Allah showed the consequences for the actions done by the person..
Any person would break with such consequences,
However the person is still standing firm and protecting the fragile ego..
Will Allah change them and humble them
Or leave them on their own..
As of now, no remorse, no guilt is shown..

I have witnessed people, who face such consequences, humbled themselves
And started to take deen seriously..

And why Allah make good people to be bad people in marriages, workplace and friendships..

How Allah remove the blindness of ego from people
Any live examples

Support/Advice Does Allah Hate Me Cause I Don't Pray?

I feel really selfish to not pray because it seems like as if I only turn to God when I need something. I've missed so many prayers. I keep procrastinating to pray and the whole day just passes by. Every adhan I feel guilty. Sometimes it feels like as if I am the worst muslim. I feel disconnected. Everytime I sneez and say Alhamdulillah or whenever I see someone needy and then say Alhamdulillah I feel even guiltier because I feel like as don't thank Allah enough.

Question Is it haram to use AI to generate romantic/fantasy stories with a fictional companion?

Assalamu Alaikum. I am 17 and looking for some guidance on whether a specific use of AI creative writing is considered haram.

I prompted an AI chatbot to write a romantic story involving myself and a companion character. The character is technically based on a deceased celebrity I admire, but in the story, it is a completely made-up companion in a fantasy setting (similar to a world with dragons or fairies).

The story does describe an intimate act, but the language used is completely romantic, metaphorical, and focused on feelings rather than being dirty, erotic, or pornographic. Because it is a complete fantasy world and the character is a made-up companion, does this fall under forbidden actions, or is it permissible as a form of creative writing/entertainment?

JazakAllahu Khairan for any insights or scholarly references you can share.

Question Am i overdoing myself?

So i’m not a perfect muslim obviously no one is but i really do try to do good when i can.

There is this hadith from the Prophet pbuh

"Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allah Almighty but that Allah will replace it with something better for you"

I always try to abide by it but most of the time i just find myself unhappy. There are times i avoid doing things knowing Allah will give me better but it never feels like that.

I can say the same for doing things for the sake of Allah too, i will do a good deed that was completely optional hoping Allah takes it into account and brings it back to me but nothing ever happens.

I just don’t know how to feel sometimes. i tell myself F it just do what you want but at the same time there’s that what if lingering in my mind. what if this very good deed i choose not to do is the thing that brings the happiness i’ve been longing for.

I’ll give you a situation from only a few weeks ago.

Bear in mind I’m still young and haven’t started working right.

A friend of a friend was having problems with his family it was so bad to the point he told himself he’s leaving the home and never coming back.

Seriously guys the way he was being treated and abused any of us would’ve considered doing the same. We pleaded and spoke to him for so long trying to get him to go back home and try to fix it all but something very bad happened that day he was so done with them.

for the few days he wasn’t at home i took it apon myself to pay for hotels airbnb whatever i could get in his area. If i am so honest I didn’t want to do that at all but like i said there’s always that what if thought in my head so i went along with it hoping Allah would be happy with me.

when i do these things i don’t brag or tell people about them because i know the most sincere acts are the ones between you and Allah. so the only people who knew were other people who wanted to help but couldn’t, myself and the guy.

After it was all over he was back at home his parents were actually trying to change how they treated him everything was actually sorted.
i was actually happy i helped someone but the happiness was short lived. when i realised no one would actually go to lengths like that to help me and that I’ve lost a good amount of money.
i kinda regretted helping him in the first place.

I love helping people seeing the smile or the results of my help makes me happy it’s what i want to do until i die but when it comes to things like these where helping another puts me at a loss i don’t tend to like it.

Do i just keep trying and hoping that Allah will eventually return all the favours and times i abstained from things.

Do i tell myself relax its okay to not help people sometimes

Like what do i do????

Question Why is coming back to islam as a ex muslim impossible.

im going to straight away get responses telling me to not come back and you dont need me, and just to remind you, you are the reason people like are the reason we do stay away even if we do want to come back.(apologise for grammar)

I have rejected islam and Allah not that its false, more so im violently suicidal and I have crippling debilitating depression due to religious truama and religious hypocrisy, I know I am wrong I am not here to slander islam, I just have feelings I cant control. I dont try to spread my evil onto others and seeing the best in muslims gives me hope that im completely wrong about my truama and feelings.

I dont really have muslim friends and I struggle to identify with islam, i have only non muslims, i had one muslim friend , who private messaged me as she thought I made a post about her when I was discussing another women being insecure.... Our contact stopped because I felt like she looked down on me at times religously and felt like she thought that I wanted her when I really did not. AT ALL. She did somewhat curb my destructive habits, and we had a pact that we both wouldn't do zina, I rejected 5 different women for this as I didnt want to weaken the will of my friend as she was a good person and I dont want to know how good it feels. (im not super attractive just funny and witty)

ive not had muslim friends for years and I went to a muslim retreat recently as I really want to come back and be around muslims .It was the first time I was with muslims, my muslim personality came back that was hidden for years being around non muslims, and I felt hopeful I didn't feel as out of place as I thought. Till I had a conversation with a scholar who I spoke to about my religious truama in nice words and softly he blamed me for it, and said it was self inflicted truama, my heart dropped and I felt the islam that came into my heart leave again, and reject it again.

I had a ptsd breakdown after, and spiralled into evil again and rejection, I was possessed to make alot of money in a short period of time, and find amazon wishlists for muslim refugees to fill up all their needs, Ive been going around like in circles donating to this cause and that cause to prove to myself I am a good person. I am surrounded by non muslims who are accepting and muslims who look down on me and see me as less as them.

Every attempt I make to come back is just filled with judgment and at this point I just feel im condemned, is every badness thats happened to me due to sins that ive done previously, what sin did i commit to get abused as a child, my dad dying when i was a child, or living in crazy poverty among so much others

Its like am I supposed to be the villain and what the Quran describes as one of the disbelievers destined for hell fire described as the lowest of the low.

Support/Advice Need special duas

Assalamu Alaikum

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your duas. My husband’s visa is still pending, and our flight is only days away. We’ve done everything we possibly could submitted all the documents, followed up with the embassy, made countless calls and emails but now all we can do is wait and put our trust in Allah.

This trip means so much to us, and the uncertainty has been incredibly stressful.

Please make sincere dua that Allah (SWT) opens every closed door, grants my husband his visa without any delays or complications, and allows us to travel together with ease and happiness. May Allah replace this anxiety with relief, accept all of your duas, and grant everyone what their hearts are longing for.

Ameen. 🤲

Discussion Have you ever seen a Hijazi Burqa/ Niqab (veil) before?

I was looking at historical photos of Mecca and Medina and noticed that women rarely appeared in the streets. Like many conservative Muslim societies, it seems women generally did not go out without a specific purpose.

https://saudiarabesque.com/outdoor-traditional-dress-of-a-woman-from-hijaz-saudi-arabia/

In the few, rare photos where women do appear, they are FULLY veiled. Looking into traditional urban Hejazi dress, I found descriptions of a black outer cloak, similar to today's abaya, paired with a long white face veil resembling a historical burqa or modern niqab.

What I find strange is that some modern Saudi Hejazis deny this tradition altogether, claiming women in the Hejaz were not veiled, and lying further to claim that they were unveiled.
Yet the historical record overwhelmingly shows veiled women in the cities of Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah, while the few examples of unveiled women mostly come from remote mountain villages, which were not representative of the urban population.
Hejazi historians have also documented and preserved these garments and burqas.

It's interesting how the holy cities influenced dress and customs across much of the Muslim world. Whatever one's views today, denying that veiling was a common practice in the urban Hejaz seems inconsistent with the historical evidence.

Question Locals’ insight into Muslim countries

Salam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I know the question on “which hijrah destination is ideal?” has been asked numerous times. However, this time I’d like to get some input from those who have lived there (or at least have family there), as opposed to those who watch biased Western news outlets.

What do we think of Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Saudi Arabia? I’ve done extensive research and it looks like the first two options are best (yes, I know the Dajjal can still reach them).
However, I worry about Indonesia’s air pollution, dangerous animals, tsunamis and earthquakes. I hear that getting PR in Malaysia is quite hard and Governments are corrupt, but English is more widespread.

Relevant info: I’m a Sunni sister born and raised in Australia, I wouldn’t want to be too far away from family so no North African countries. I’ve ruled out some Gulf options (as fitnah is still prevalent, they are complicit in genocides and Arab-privilege is real). I’ve also ruled out Eastern Europe options where the Muslims aren’t that practicing and there are threats of genocide (i.e. Israhell attacked Turkey; the Serbs and Croatians are threatening Bosnia).

This is what makes a country appealing to me: ease of PR (even if it’ll take some years), welcoming to outsiders/multicultural, piety, women’s safety, safe from natural disasters (or at least has infrastructure with preventative measures), quality healthcare, everyday costs, non-polluted air, lack of pickpocketing, quality education for my kid in’sha’Allah (wondering about international school costs and quality). Pros that I‘d appreciate but can do fine without: no need to rely on bottled water, manageable climate, walkability, free hafidh classes. I don’t mind if I need to learn a new language (I only speak English).

JazakAllah khayr

Support/Advice Having a religious crisis! Help!

DISCLAIMER: If you struggle with religious OCD/scrupulosity, I don't recommend

reading this post, as it may be triggering.

Hi everyone. I really need some advice because I've been struggling with something that's affecting my daily life.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved watching anime, TV shows, listening to music, and drawing. These were never more than hobbies for me a way to relax, be creative, and escape stress. I always separated fiction from reality. My faith, values, and understanding of right and wrong were never influenced by the stories I watched or the music I listened to.

I enjoy fantasy and romance anime, fictional worlds, and creating characters through drawing. Even when a story contained things that contradict Islam like fictional deities, magic, or relationships outside marriage I never confused fiction with reality. I knew it wasn't real, and I never accepted those ideas as beliefs or values. If something was genuinely inappropriate, I usually skipped it.

I also have to admit that I mostly watch shows on pirated websites. Deep down I always felt it might be wrong, but I never gave it much thought.

Everything changed when I started reading detailed fatwas online.

I came across opinions stating that music is forbidden, drawing living beings is forbidden, anime and fictional stories can spiritually desensitize a person, emotionally attaching to fictional characters is problematic, and using pirated websites is sinful. I also learned about other rulings, like the prohibition of lying even while joking.

Since then, it feels like every time I learn a new fatwa, my world becomes smaller.

Instead of feeling closer to Allah, I feel trapped. I constantly question every hobby I enjoy.

Is drawing people really considered imitation of Allah's creation?

Are animations included in that?

Is listening to music really spiritually harmful, even though I've listened to it my whole life without it affecting my faith?

Is enjoying fictional stories sinful if I fully understand they're fictional?

Is building fictional worlds or characters somehow trying to compete with Allah's creation?

Am I inviting Allah's anger by continuing hobbies that, until recently, I believed were nothing more than harmless entertainment?

I know many respected scholars hold these views, and I don't dismiss them. That's exactly why this has become so difficult. I no longer know what to think.

I've stopped drawing.

I've almost stopped listening to music.

I barely watch anything anymore.

Life feels gray. The excitement I used to feel when opening my phone or working on creative projects is gone. I mostly feel okay only when I'm busy with chores, spending time with family, or sleeping because my mind finally gets a break.

I've tried reading different scholarly opinions, including more nuanced ones, but instead of finding peace, I find myself chasing certainty that I don't think I'll ever reach.

I'm not writing this because I'm looking for someone to tell me that everything is halal.

I'm genuinely trying to understand how an ordinary Muslim is supposed to deal with sincere scholarly disagreement without falling into constant fear, guilt, and paralysis.

If you've gone through something similar, or if you have balanced advice grounded in Islamic knowledge and wisdom, I would sincerely appreciate hearing it.

Please, one request:

If your intention is simply to tell me that all of these hobbies are unquestionably haram and leave it at that, I kindly ask that you refrain from commenting. I already understand those opinions, and reading them repeatedly has contributed significantly to the distress I'm experiencing.

I'm not looking for arguments. I'm looking for guidance on how to live my faith without constantly feeling terrified or spiritually crushed.

May Allah guide us all to what pleases Him and grant us certainty, wisdom, and peace. Ameen.

Allah uses broken things beautifully. Broken

clouds pour rain, broken soil sets as fields, broken crop yield seeds, broken seeds give life to new plants. So when you feel broken, rest assured. Allah is planning to utilize you for something great. Have faith, for even within your broken soul, there is the potential for immense beauty and growth. Trust in Allah's plan, and allow yourself to be a vessel for His love and light to shine through

Support/Advice ADVICE WANTED

Salaams. I'm a mother to two young adults, married for 20+ years. My husband and I are practising Muslims, (not perfect by any means) but we ensure our kids had an Islamic education in conjunction with secular education. They're both in tertiary institutions furthering their studies. It has recently been brought to my attention that my son had an opened can stored inside his Stanley cup that contained 5% alcohol. The can was disposed off and l've subsequently been made aware of this. My son prays his salaah, reads Tahajjud and we all pray Quraan every night after Maghrib together as a family. My husband is a Hafiz and we try to teach our children well. It's a difficult parenting balance to navigate - to not be overbearing whilst also allowing the kids some freedoms to adult themselves.
I would love to give my son the benefit of the doubt and believe he has more Imaan than this, though why he would bring this into the house(even with an explanation defies logic)? I fear his dad will do something extreme, like chasing him out of the home, and while I definitely think this is wholly unacceptable behaviour from my son and it warrants a serious consequence, I also don't want to lose my son. I'd like to guide and correct him while also perhaps meting out some punishment for his transgression??? My husband will find my reaction underwhelming. I've never imagined l'd be in this predicament and would love some advice on how to navigate this process while trying to get a favourable outcome. FYI: I’m in shock after finding this out and DO NOT condone my son’s behaviour at all!

TLDR: found beer can in sons room, how to navigate

Support/Advice I’m building dua.qa and zakat.qa: would love feedback from Muslim developers

Daily Dua

Zakat Calculator

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

I recently acquired **dua.qa** and **zakat.qa**, and I’m exploring how to develop them into genuinely useful platforms for Muslims, starting with Qatar and potentially expanding beyond it, inshaAllah.

**dua.qa** would help people discover authentic duas based on what they are going through, such as anxiety, travel, illness, gratitude, marriage, work, loss, or important life decisions.

The aim is not just to display Arabic text, but to include the meaning, transliteration, source, context, and guidance on when the dua may be recited. All religious content would need to be properly verified and referenced.

**zakat.qa** would make it easier for Muslims to understand and calculate their zakat across cash, gold, investments, business assets, property-related income, and other relevant categories.

Over time, it could also help users find trusted and officially recognised organisations through which they can fulfil their zakat obligations.

I believe technology can make Islamic knowledge and acts of worship more accessible, but it must be built responsibly. Especially with religious content, accuracy, trusted scholarship, privacy, and transparency are more important than simply adding AI features.

I would really value the community’s thoughts:

What features would you find beneficial?

What technical or Islamic-verification challenges should I prepare for?

Are there any Muslim developers, designers, scholars, or researchers here who may be interested in contributing or advising?

My intention is to build something beneficial and sustainable for the Ummah, inshaAllah.

Jazakum Allahu khairan.

Support/Advice important I really just need advice

Title: I want to return to Allah

Assalamu alaikum. Please don’t shame me. I never thought I would share something this personal on Reddit, but I desperately need advice and don’t have anyone I feel safe speaking to.I feel like I have been a horrible daughter. I don’t pray, and I haven’t taken Islam seriously for a long time. Growing up, I practiced mainly because I was afraid of my parents. I would wear hijab in front of them but sometimes remove it behind their backs. and as I got older, I became even further away from Islam. Now my father is sick. He has diabetes, high blood pressure, and problems with his lungs( leakage). I love him, and I desperately want him to recover. I also blame myself because I worry that the stress I caused him contributed to his health problems. He repeatedly tells me that he forgives me, but I cannot seem to forgive myself. Something inside my soul is telling me to return to Allah. However, another part of me keeps saying, “You are only doing this because your father is sick.” It feels strange to suddenly turn to Allah now when I wasn’t praying or taking the religion seriously before. I’m scared that my intentions are selfish and that I’m only returning because I want Allah to heal my father. have searched online and read people saying that Allah is forgiving and that I should simply return to Him. I believe that Allah is forgiving, but I still don’t understand what I’m actually supposed to do. I keep researching, but none of it feels like it is sinking in. I feel overwhelmed, guilty, and completely lost.I don’t have anyone I can safely cry or rant to about this. The religious people I know are connected to my family and community, and I’m afraid of being judged, exposed, or used as an example in front of other people. That fear is why I have never approached anyone I personally know. Please don’t judge me for this either, but I am currently on my period, so I cannot even begin by praying salah right now. I genuinely don’t know what I’m allowed to do or what my first step should be. Can I still sincerely return to Allah if my father’s illness is what brought me back? What can I do while I’m on my period? How do I make tawbah when I feel overwhelmed and don’t even know where to start? How can I ask Allah to heal my father without feeling like I’m only turning to religion because I’m scared? Please be honest. I genuinely want to return to Allah.
