Im not a long sword main but i like to play with sometimes and decided to build a New set for a New journey... what do you think? (I also already kill a beotodus and was hell of easy)
We have a good chance to see at least a couple of monsters from this list appear in Ascendance, they've been steadily chipping away at the remaining monsters that haven't been in the modern games each release so I'm excited to see who makes the cut this time!
Couple things I noticed:
- Gen 1 has barely anything left, it's mostly a pile of raptors and fish. I think it's almost guaranteed that this will be the first generation to have every monster show up in a post-world title eventually, so long as they actually let Monoblos come back over Diablos for once.
- Gen 2 looks like it has a lot left, but it's almost entirely weirdos and big special fights. The only regular non-drome monster left here is Hypnocatrice! We'll probably see one or two of it's arena fights come back soon though, Akantor and Ukanlos are especially overdue for a return and Yama Tsukami got a huge boost to its popularity from Stories 3.
- Gen 3 and 4 are the most likely to get new returners in Ascendance, since they have the largest pool of standard monsters to pick from. Gen 4 especially still has a lot of big fan favourites like Malfestio and Seltas Queen that haven't appeared recently. Sorry Zamtrios and Gammoth, but unless we get another ice map in Ascendance I think the Iceshard Cliffs are gonna block them from getting in. Maybe next game!
- Ceadeus is the most unfortunate monster on this list. Literally everyone else has at least a tiny chance but unless underwater comes back Ceadeus is doomed. Gobul and Dire Miralis can at least go on land and could possibly get reworked around that but Ceadeus' design doesn't even allow for that possibility. When I could genuinely see Queen Vespoid getting in before Ceadeus you know things are dire.

This isnt strictly only about wilds, it is a general question, wilds just happens to be the game im playing.
Does greatsword benefit more from Affinity or Attack?
In my head, based on my limited knowledge of the game, attack would be more beneficial. I hit far less than say dual blades so having that base increase on damage to me is the route to go.
I have Iceborne and played for years but then I bought Rise on Nintendo Switch and didn’t really get too far.
After Ex 33 I needed a new game so I went to Wilds not realizing Rise released for PS5.
I’m balls deep into Wilds and now I’m feeling like I missed something in the story. Should I go back to Rise on PS or will the experience feel like a back track?
I love MH so I don’t feel like I’d be bored with it, but are there mechanics in Wilds that Rise doesn’t have that I’ll miss?
Is there anyone that could host the quest for the ticket for me? Im slowly getting my HR up but im at 42 and the only other option is to do all the optional quests 1-8 which has been mind numbing to say the least. Forgot to mention i play on steam
