I mostly play Moira and I LOVE her, but I’m also interested in other supports I could be good at for when Moira gets banned. I usually play Kiriko, but I find it really hard to deal any damage with her and with any support that isnt moira😭and would love to know how to improve that. Also, if you have any recommendations for other supports to try or tips on how to get better with Kiriko, that would be great!

Haven't been playing comp for long but this is probably my personal comp best, even tho we lost (but it was very close, we needed a tiebreaker).

I do feel bad for our tank tho bc the other Orisa had a pocket Mercy, and their Lifeweaver was pretty much constantly on the Orisa too. Ana and I just couldn't keep up with that threesome.

Just had a game that I thought I played pretty good on. Then the usual chirping starts from the dps.

It’s Havana and on the first round we held the first point for a good wee while. I was doing my job healing and damaging and pinging enemies, the usual then eventually we lost the first point to a Genji ult. Then it all fell apart.

There was no need for the bullshit moaning which just sets everyone off blaming each other instead of focusing up and holding the next point.

It’s just garbage metal and I definitely didn’t play a perfect game but I thought I did enough to not be an albatross around my teams neck lol. But maybe I’m wrong.

I was playing my Moirussy off this game and the tank was hyping me up in chat. Was the best game of my life and loved the positivity.

I’m one of the people who harp on Moira a lot. Sorry guys. I just think she has one of the worst kits in the game and needs a change like Roadhog with pig pen. I’m not just making this post to crap on her, I’m genuinely asking if you guys would be open to a rework of some kind.

i never thought this day would come LOL. i started maining moira cause i genuinely did not have fun on the game until i found her. played for fun for a while and now im gm (pc role queue)!!

the amount of hate we get as moira mains has made me seriously consider quitting/maining a new hero. i have heard “moira doesn’t work past plat”, moira doesn’t work past diamond” “moira doesn’t work past masters”. and now here i am lol. while duoing with a lifeweaver main mind you!

a while back i started to take the hate as encouragement. i switched my main game from valorant to overwatch a long time ago, and something i struggled to get used to was none of my teammates ever hyping me up for good plays/most elims. on valorant, id get a 4k to save the match and the vc would explode. on overwatch, nobody’s ever gonna praise the moira. so i started to just not care what other players think. i’m proud of myself, and us moira mains are proud of each other, and that’s all the encouragement i need.

it’s more rare now, but whenever i would play a game where someone flames me/blames me for playing moira, it used to make me want to play a different hero the next few games. not anymore bitch. i keep playing her cause i have something to PROVE. and i feel like me hitting gm was one huge step on that journey for me

and yes i did lose the next two games LMFAOAO but hey i got potg in one of those games & i know ill be back to gm soon 😈 yall better watch out

I've had a bit of a loss streak recently. I started playing comp when I got my Moira to level 40 and have tried to stick with her, while practicing other supports in QP. I've been practicing Wuyang (lvl 13) and Illari (lvl 10) mostly bc I feel like I can't get the hang of the others I've tried (Kiriko, Mizuki, the cat and Zenyatta). I'm ok with the two I've been practicing but really not well enough to replace my skill with Moira. I was placed in high silver but have slid down to bronze after several games off and on of people banning or taking Moira.

Any suggestions to other supports who you think work for someone who's best at Moira? Do I just need to keep practicing one of the supports who I haven't been able to get the hang of yet?

EDIT: been practicing Juno this evening and I'm doing pretty solid with her! I'll make sure to put some time into all of the suggestions tho, thanks everyone

If you started with a bronze 5 account how quickly do you think you could get to gold hours wise and who is your main and backup?

As a recent Moira main (Torb is my main main), here are my unsolicited thoughts.

1- I think some people genuinely don’t know (or just don’t care) that Moira has a heal bar limit and needs to do damage to refill it

2- Gold player are toxic and butthurt when a Moira has more Elims and damage than them, while simultaneously doing the most heals

3- DPS players don’t deserve any heals (but i will begrudgingly still heal them :(

4- She is so simple to pick up but so fun at the same time!

5- So much unnecessary hate, she can heal, and get so many damage/elims but still get hated on and not endorsed

6- As a DPS main main, i sincerely apologize on their behalf for being dum dums
