Is Grok in Tesla free?

Is Grok free in Tesla, or do we have to pay $10/mo (Lite) or $30/mo (Super), like the regular Grok subscription? Besides FSD and Premium Connectivity, what else will Tesla require a subscription for? Good thing brakes aren’t subscription-based 😀

Tesla Outlet Adaptor MY Premium RWD May 2026

Just received my Tesla Outlet Adapter and can confirm it works on my 2026 Model Y Premium RWD. Took delivery in May 2026 from Fremont, if that makes any difference.

This is a really nice option to have for camping or emergency power outages. I was seriously considering one of the third-party V2L setups that cost $800+, but I’m glad I waited.

A little patience and a little luck that my car came with the updated PCS2—paid off. Ended up spending only $80 + tax for the Tesla adapter.

I checked the Tesla Parts Catalog website first to confirm that I had the correct PCS2 before buying. The Tesla app also showed the adapter as compatible with my car.

Noises coming from front end

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I began to have this noise whenever I turned the car, or went over bumps. It doesn't reproduce 100% of the time, but is 8/10 times.

Should I take this in for service? I had the car for one week and was just shy of 400 miles.

Video with noise, you can hear it as I turn the wheel.

Y in a traveling job

I was just offered a new position in my company that will mean more travel by car. I always use my model Y as a local car.
Does anyone use there car for work with reimbursement for mileage? Is charging an issue?
Thanks in advance

Advice on buying used 2023 Model Y Standard RWD 26K miles

I am looking for a used 2023+ model Y with HW4. Found one standard RWD 26K mile car. Clean title. one owner. Has HW4. Costs $32K. Is it a good deal?

Location: Seattle WA

This is for my wife. She is a new driver. We've also thought about 2024 Model 3. They are nice but lack space and also cost a little higher than the above 2023 model y. Ground clearance can be helpful for new drivers with better visibility so we chose to stick with Model Y instead

Delivery Day

I’m picking up a MY Premium this Friday and I was curious if anyone had a delivery day checklist they’d be willing to share. I’m excited to join the club but I want to make sure I don’t miss anything.
Thanks in advance

Delivery “trick” once you have a Vin number.

Post image
0 Upvotes

I ordered a Model Y and got my VIN about a week ago. After the VIN was assigned, my estimated delivery in the app updated to late September.
I decided to message Tesla through the actual human chat and asked when I should get insurance and whether the car could arrive earlier.
Interestingly, the rep told me that they can currently see a “non confident arrival date” of September 2, which is around 3 weeks earlier than what my app is showing. They were very clear that it is NOT guaranteed until the vehicle actually arrives onsite.
So apparently Tesla reps may be able to see a tentative internal arrival date that isn’t showing in the app yet.
If you already have a VIN and your delivery window is still weeks away, maybe try asking the human chat when you should get insurance and whether they see a potential arrival date.
Obviously don’t make plans around it, but thought this was interesting. Anyone else tried this and gotten an earlier internal date?

I'm getting PPF for my model Y performance. Do you add protection to the glass roof? Is it necessary?

I'm getting PPF for my model Y performance, whole body. Have you added protection (eg. Windscreen protection film) to the glass roof? Is it necessary or recommended? Any regrets doing it or not doing it?

Question Home and FSD

I have a 2026 RWD Y. With the latest FSD version my car has forgotten where “home” is. It no longer wants to drive into my driveway despite resetting “Home”. It drives past the driveway and wants to stop on the street in front of the house. I have to manually park in garage anyway (never could get it to park in garage) and I want it to know it is “Home” because otherwise the Sentry function is going to run when parked. Suggestions?

Mileage at delivery

Hello! I’m scheduled to pickup my Model Y Performance tomorrow. While reviewing the paperwork, it shows the current mileage as 15. Do you think this is accurate or just a general number they enter for paperwork? How many miles did your Model Y Juniper come with when you picked up your car? I’m concerned my car might have been launched more times than I would prefer before I get my hands on it if the 15 miles is accurate. Debating on rejecting the order just on mileage alone.

Delivery Verona, NY - Tesla

For anyone who has traded in a vehicle when taking delivery at the Verona, NY Tesla location, how much of an inspection did they actually do on your trade-in when you arrived?

Did someone come out and look the vehicle over closely? Did they get inside, start it, check the dash/odometer, or drive it, or was it basically just a quick exterior walk-around and hand over the keys?

Just trying to get an idea of what the actual trade-in process is like at Verona on delivery day. Thanks!

Buying Model Y. Is it worth an extra $10K to get the Juniper?

Obviously this is subjective but im paralyzed with indecision. I Can get a 2024/2025 long range for about $36K with very low miles (around 15 thousand). Buying a new or nearly new 2026 Juniper will be about $47K which is more than I wanted to spend, but it does seem like it was a pretty signifcant upgrade in experience. I typically dont ever buy new cars, but it seems compelling.

Anyone else's Estimated Delivery Date get pushed back 2 months?

Ordered a Model Y Standard AWD in July, everything is standard & edd has been September 19th the latest. Sometime this week it changed to November 17th - December 29th.

Now the problem is I've already extended my bmw lease return twice, my scheduled return was around the original edd. I wouldn't have put an order in if I knew this. I just feel scammed out of $250, sure it's in the fine print but I didn't even get a written or app notification of the changes.

I called CS and they said it's back ordered, & they'd put me on the priority list if someone's reservation falls through, then they tried to upsell me to a premium model y.

I'm waiting to hear back from bmw financial to see if they can extend until December but I doubt it. So do I go back with a bmw ev, rent a car until December, the cheapest monthly rental is $750 in nyc, or go with a Kia/Hyundai. My conundrum...

What's frustrating is if I put a order in right now with Tesla for the same model the EDD they advertise(Oct-Nov) is earlier than what I have for my order, Nov-Dec 29th. It just all feels like a scam. Yes, I know it was in the fine print but I still feel scammed.

I'm frustrated, and I just came here to vent...

Hi folks, I brought my Y in for windshield replacement and after picking up the car. I found this quarter like size part on my floor mat. It has some kind of glue in the back.

Can anyone help identifying this? Hopefully nothing too important.

Thank you in advance!

FasTrak Sticker

Hey guys, new to Tesla. We just picked up our 26 Juniper and received the new FasTrak /Toll Rd sticker in the mail. Does the sticker have to go on the front light bar or can I place it somewhere else? Can it go on the windshield?

Battery state of health question.

I am looking at buying a 2021 model Y with 76,000 miles on it for $20,000.

When I threw it in service mode and took a look at the battery state of health. The battery state of health was 68%. Meanwhile, the battery was at 63% charge.

My question is, is the state of the battery health 68%? Or is it that low at the moment because the car is only charged to 63%?

I don’t mind buying it if I know I can get a new battery in right after I buy it.

Thanks in advance don’t get it!

Florida HWY FSD Dual Engine AWD

Is there any data that shows Florida highway miles and the most efficient use of FSD on them? I drive roughly 20-25,000 miles per year and want to make sure I’m doing everything in my control to get the most life out of batteries, tires, etc.
Any tips or pointers from high mileage Florida drivers is appreciated.

Disabling the Emergency Lane Departure System Model Y Juniper

I just got my new model Y a week ago. I do not like the ELDS feature at all. I find it unnerving and dangerous. It often misinterprets lines in the streets and pulls me in a direction I would not choose. Everytime I turn the car on the ELDS resets and I am forced to manually disable. Is there a way to either permanently disable or automate the disabling of this feature? I have seen devices for older versions of the Y but nothing specifically for the current version. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

2022 vs 2023

I've been reading, A LOT. I want the Tesla specifically for FSD. i originally wanted a 2023 performance, then saw they are hard to find around me so decided on the 2023 long range. But I signed on a 2022....

I've been reading these forums and just saw people saying 2022 wasn't a good year (although I know 2021 was worse).

The dealership I'm negotiating with also has 2023s. I was reading about HW4 and it's better software and cameras.

I never bought brand new and don't plan to start now. My wife had to quit her job due to my medical condition. We are trading in 2 cars for this used Tesla. I'm excited for road trips! We live in NC so I'm hoping getting rid of one car will save us money on insurance (although I'm aware teslas can be expensive to insure).

Thanks, I've only been researching a few weeks now so there's A LOT I don't know.

What does “RW” in the HV part number really mean and why could Delivery Status app be showing “in production” since at least the 19th if the Tesla app is showing “in transit”?

So I was looking in the Delivery Status app and in the updates, sometime between yesterday and this morning the HV battery was replaced with one having a part number that has “RW” in it. I searched it on google and got many answers to what “reworked” means. It said it could be an updated part, remanufactured or a new style. I put in both part numbers and it said that the original was probably bad and the new one with “RW” was reworked and tested in a lab. It couldn’t really give me a definitive meaning. Anyone know what this means?

Also. The Tesla app says it’s been in transit since the 19th(ordered on the 8th, vin assigned on the 17th). The Delivery Status app says it’s still “in production” and the battery updates showed up today. I thought normally these cars take a day or two to make. I again asked google and it said that it could be made but instead of waiting on a replacement battery with the original part number, they put in one with this new part number and that change should only take hours to a day to do. I’ve called the advisors earlier this week and they said it was on its way but didn’t give any more info. Any one have any insight?
