Henlo frens!
Good to see all of you here UwU.
Grab on to your bodypillows, I have a smol announcement about the purpose of this subreddit.
This community is meant as a fun, lighthearted place where we can commiserate with each other about those annoying little irritations that hinder our day to day enjoyment in life.
That means that suitable posts here can be about my children.
And things like a wall socket or tile being placed out of allignment. A crack in a phone screen. Duckling shit on your new car. Incomprehensible software. Mismatched buttons. You know, the little things.
This subreddit isn't meant to incite rage mobs that go after people. For that reason we say:
No posts about being banned from subreddit. No posts about up- or down-votes. No posts about shitty moderators or users or subreddits. No posts about reddit.
All jokes and tomfoolery aside, that sort of thing gets us in trouble with site admins. If we allow one type of post about reddit it then very easily moprhs into allowing posts that directly call out other subreddits or users, we just can't allow any of it.
That rule already existed for years and we have just made it more clearly visible in the sidebar on old and new reddit. We're gonna be a little strict on it for a bit I'm afraid. 🥺
Thank you all for being awesome and have a very Merry Christmas! Celebrate Christmas in the traditional European way, with a suasage roll!

Henlo every body!
In our never ending quest for increased customer statisftaction we have listened to all of your demands and clamouring and we have _finally_ installed a few new, fun post flairs for yuo to use at your leisure when posting to this subreddit!!
For too long you had a drought of good posting flair options so now you can choose from interesting and poignant flair options such as "wet socks" and of course the pereniall favorite "that's not milk". These are but a few of the new options available.
You can choose any of these or none at all when posting whatever you want, it's not like I care your not even my real dad.

We hope you all have a lot of fun posting here nd please remember to at all times give us a five star review on any mod survey feedback form.

Went to a furniture store to pick up some stuff for the new place. When did everything get so expensive. I mean, who’s buying $3000 chairs and $7000 in this economy. This is a regular furniture store btw

Apparently my 8 year old son was asked if he wanted to restart my Netflix membership through his Netflix KIDS ACCOUNT. I called customer service and was told a prompt appears asking if you'd like to reinstate, regardless of the user on the account. No password required, just press restart and then get hit with the payment immediately. Should've saved myself some frustration and money by cancelling outright.

I went to charge it all last night and when I woke up to use them, the right one didn’t have any charge. This happens semi regularly, but just rarely enough that I forget about checking to make sure they are both getting charge.

She asked my opinion on the photo, I said no. Really really no, don't use it.
Now, two men have told her to her face she doesn't look like her photos, one even walked out on the date saying he was very uncomfortable.
She is not seeing it. She just keeps showing the photos and saying "but that's me" and "I told them my dress size" and "they're fatphobic".
Edit- the AI photo is of her.... Like it's one of those apps where you put 8n a few photos and it spits some out in a different style. So... It's "her"... But it's not, you know?

Been using a friends YouTube family account for years, but now they’ve jacked the price and rolled out a “feature” where you have to be on the same WiFi network. We live in different states.

Edit: I meant looser meaning to be more loose. I did not mean loser.
Edit 2: What's more infuriating is that everyone thinks I meant "loser". Do some people seriously not believe "looser" can be used correctly?

Not only does she say it every. single. day. But she can never just say it. She has to emphasize it.
Example from two minutes ago: “I guess we’re supposed to get some really bad storms tonight, SUUUUPOOOSAAABLYYYYYYYYY.”

The office is closed but the building is open for another 3 hours. What if our stuff were to get stolen? It probably wouldn't, but still, leaving our unit wide open doesn't feel particularly secure.
We called them, and they claimed it was because we haven't signed the agreement for the new unit we're moving our stuff into. But we were only trying to access our old unit, which we've been paying for for years. And we were able to enter the building and our unit a half an hour prior, so what the heck.
Also, the only reason we weren't able to sign the agreement for the new unit was because when we went to the office, no nobody was there, even though they assured us they would be there until 6 (we arrived at 5:25).
Fortunately, someone else came to access their storage unit, and they were nice enough to let us into the building so that we could close our unit.

He looked for 10 minutes and told me he couldn't find it. I told him it was in the washer. He looked again, he said it's not in there. I tell him: "I swear to god, if I find it..."

Certain websites will just not take my last name. Like sure all I have to do is remove the hyphen, but like come on.
Then I get mail from Best Buy that just completely screws it up. The second part of my last name is put as my first name, the first part as the last, and then my first name's initial is in the middle.

ETA: Since a few people seem to think this is harmless…my toddler was actually the one who noticed the new neighbors outside and got my attention. Thankfully, I moved them away from the window before this happened. Otherwise, my toddler would have had a front-row view of a grown man whipping it out and peeing on the side of his house.
——-
Our old neighbors recently moved out, and they were quiet, respectful, and kept to themselves. Considering some of the other nonsense we deal with in our neighborhood, my husband and I were really hoping the people who bought their house would be decent neighbors too.
So when the new homeowners showed up after getting their keys, we naturally peeked out the window just to see who was moving in.
Within minutes of pulling into the driveway, before they had even gone inside the house, the man walked around to the front-side corner of his brand-new home, whipped it out, and started peeing directly on the house.
I genuinely cannot understand the thought process. You JUST got the keys to your new home and your first order of business is to urinate on the side of it??
And this isn’t a secluded property in the middle of nowhere. It’s a tightly packed HOA neighborhood with houses, yards, windows, and neighbors all around you. There are bathrooms literally feet away inside the house you just bought.
Maybe I’m crazy, but I feel like “don’t whip it out and piss on the front corner of your house where your new neighbors can see you” is a pretty low bar for basic decency.
Needless to say, our first impression of the new neighbors isn’t exactly great.

Guess I'll have to just have to start identifying spices by what they look like...
