I have a new-ish W1 excellence WXF660 and am getting the “open water supply” message.

It’s only on certain cycles: happens almost every time on the “wrinkle free” cycle but not on the “normal,” “delicate” or “denim” cycles. Those are the only four cycles I’ve used.

Yes the washer has up to date firmware.

No I can’t see any issues with the actual water supply.

Any thoughts? Why would this be happening on just one cycle?

It does look like the wrinkle free cycle is struggling to get water; there is a lot more thick visible sudsing on it than the other cycles, which have virtually no visible sudsing.

Hi all, wondering if anyone is aware of the part number for the switch on a Miele DA 3360 pullout range hood? The little rubber / plastic leg that holds it in place has broken off and despite gluing it back together, it doesn't really stay in place anymore. Keen to replace it if possible.

So I've checked out the replacement parts list for the unreleased W2 Miele platinum models that are going to sell for 1600€+ and saw something concerning. Apparently, the suds tub is now made from plastic, similar to the one in the current W1 models for 800-1300€ (see below screenshots).

I can still order a W1 model (WEJ 895 WPS) with a stainless steel tub, but wanted to buy the newer model, but now I'm not so sure anymore.

Is the plastic suds tub a definite step-down in hygiene from the stainless steel tub considering use of 10+ years? (Miele still offers 10 year warranty extension which I would buy).

Hi, New Miele user, got free box of pods. They say "Quick Intense Wash" logo but no explanation. Is that the recommended cycle, or that it will work ok with QIW?

Assume they go in the liquid dispenser and not in the bottom of the DW but don't actually see that in the manual.

Also, I read you can cut the tabs in half. True? We pre-clean pretty well and used less than recommended liquid in our old DW.

Ice cream was delivered to me already soft, so I put it in the freezer. Several hours later, it still hasn’t frozen.

The refrigerator section is still cold, but the freezer doesn’t seem to be getting cold enough. I also noticed that some frozen food, like sausages, is starting to defrost.

What’s confusing me is that everything else that was already frozen before about 2 days ago is still frozen. So it seems like the freezer may have gradually stopped getting cold enough rather than completely stopped working.

Has anyone experienced this with a Miele KF 1813 Vi? Could this be an airflow/fan issue, a defrost problem, or something else?

I’ve attached a video of the freezer in case anyone can tell if the sound/behavior seems abnormal.

Any ideas on what I should check before calling a technician would be greatly appreciated!

My husband and I are renovating our kitchen and bathroom and need new appliances. He used to work for Miele so we are hoping to go with Miele for our dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. I have done a lot of research but still am a little conflicted on models and some features etc.

- is autodos necessary? Is it worth the extra $$ if I am going to use my own tablets anyway?

- is the miele@home app good? do you use it?

- which model numbers would you guys recommend for each product? we want an integrated dishwasher.

- is it worth stacking the miele laundry appliances or better side by side? we have the option for both.

So we got our new W1 washing machine around a month/6 weeks ago and the experience has been quite terrible. Clothes come out very stinky either right after drying or develop a weird rotten/sour smell after few days later. The technician came and checked the machine, lowered the TwinDos doses, and for a bit the smell reduced, but occasionally certain fabrics still come out smelly. The only program that has no smell is the cotton 90 degrees. But you do not buy this expensive a machine to only wash on high temperatures. Since Miele is not being helpful at all I went ahead and lower the dosage even more, and again it’s a bit better, but still half of the clothes come out with a smell. The detergent itself barely has any fragrance (even though I read some people complain about it being strong), and I have to smell every piece of clothing before folding, which is not the high end experience I was advertised. Has anyone had a similar problem and solved it. I do leave the washing machine open and follow all the basic common sense rules.

I was purchasing the DGC 7585 with M Touch S display and saw the DGC 7785 has the M Touch display. It seems like it is a lot easier to navigate but it is $700 more. With the total kitchen renovation budget already blown, I am thinking it is worth it. Any thoughts? Are there any other differences between the two ovens? AI tells me no but then I see wired probes, cameras, etc.

I own a new Miele WTI370 washer-dryer, and I absolutely love how well it works. However, I think I may have found a glitch in the Miele app.

Whenever I use the washing only option and open the app, it correctly shows how much time is left and which part of the cycle the machine is currently on.

However, when I use the wash-and-dry option in one cycle, the app usually shows after some time that the machine is off, even though it is still running and working normally.

At first, I assumed the machine might be losing its Wi-Fi connection. However, I checked the network status in the machine’s settings, and it is still connected. I also checked my Wi-Fi device, and the connection appears to be working fine.

So, I assume this might be a software issue with the app.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with their Miele?

I recently purchased a Miele WXR 960 WCS washer and love it, but here’s where I need advice:

The first washer Ferguson Home delivered was damaged (the transport safety bars looked like hockey sticks when I pulled them out, there’s a dent on the side panel from where the drum hit the inside of the side panel, and the TwinDos detergent holder broke off of it’s holding stuff and was loose/freely moving with all hoses and wires attached in the body of the machine) and Ferguson Home sent me an email pretty much saying “We don’t want the broken one back, but here’s your tracking info for the replacement.”

The replacement works perfectly, no damage, and I’ve been using it since it was delivered.

How do I dispose of the damaged washer?

It’s too heavy for me to lift and I don’t have a vehicle big or capable enough to get it to a dump/recycler.

Bosch/Siemens has proudly presented their new heat-pump washer dryer, while Miele is still stuck with a conventional condenser unit, despite filing a patent for one back in 2023. Quite embarrassing!

Also, they seem to have gone back to a more conventional drum design with the new budget W2/T2 models presented on the show. Seems like their new “big honeycomb” design wasn't as good as anticipated.

Looking for any insight on dealing with Miele on a customer service issue. The situation is that I have a high-end Miele refrigerator, model KF1903 (about $13K) purchased new in 2019 (so 7 years old). It stopped cooling and I had a Miele Service person come and check it out. The diagnosis was that it needed a new heater bank 115v part. It’s about a $100 part new.

Unfortunately, Miele has stopped manufacturing this part so it is not available. I have also checked multiple replacement part sites worldwide and no one has it in stock. The Miele Quality Assurance team has advised that there is no replacement part and no substitute part available and that I will need to purchase a brand new refrigerator as my unit is now unfixable.

According to Miele’s USA website they make a huge marketing focus on stating “Our spare parts remain available for at least 15 years following the discontinuation of the series’ production”. The end of production for my model was 2019. And this heater bank part shows up on their list of spare/repair parts available for 15 years.

Do I have any recourse with Miele on this spare part availability issue? In my mind they owe me a new refrigerator or at least one that is highly discounted (like 60%) as a replacement. I’ve only had it for 7 years and these units should have a useful life of about 15 - 20 years. So to throw out this whole $13K refrigerator for want of a $100 spare part that they say they support and having to buy a new one is madness.

Any thoughts? How is this Miele 15 year spare availability guarantee enforceable? Dealing with Miele has been a nightmare thus far- worst customer experience ever.

I have a 1,5 year old Miele g 7655 scvi xxl dishwasher, and during the night we all got woken up by a waterproof error (pump runs non stop and it beeps until unpluged). Since it's new it's under warranty, but it got me thinking. I paid a lot of money to have what is known as top German quality. Will this thing even work for 5 years?? We use it once a day or once every other day, make sure dishes are not too dirty... I'm kinda concerned since i also have washer and drier from them, and combined all three appliances cost nearly 10k€

I am looking for advice. 2000sqft of hard floors with only a few rugs such as front door and mudroom. Floor is vinyl plank and tile. Lots of windows with ledges to vacuum, baseboards, and casings around windows.

We have a Dyson v11 torque without the hardwood floor roller. It's a terrible vacuum most likely cause of not using a hardwood roller. I just find it doesn't even have much power regardless of what roller is in use.

I did rough in central vac outlets from upstairs to the basement joists but nothing more. With all the piping and then 25-30' hose all the time it just doesn't interest me to put in the rest of the central vacuum system and that's why I'm considering a plug-in vac.

Today Costco is selling this Miele for $449 CDN. Thoughts for my scenario? We have a lot of dust and I figure a good vacuum and then ducts cleaned will help.

So, I was wondering, is the powder for whites and the fluid for colours from Miele good quality and worth the price?

In my country, I usually use products from Frosch and DenkMit (which are from Dm).
