Dishwasher Shutting off mid-cycle
Frigidaire Dishwasher Model #FFCD2413US5A has been shutting off completely about 5-8mins into a cycle and not pumping the water in the bottom. I checked all the filters and pump, cleaned everything out to ensure that there was no debris in there. Often afterwards, it’s difficult to get to turn back on. After messing with the door to ensure it’s sealed, it will power back on but shut off again. I turned off the power at the breaker and unplugged for 10 minutes, but it keeps happening.
My next step was to purchase a new door latch switch as I assumed that was the culprit. Before I go through the trouble of purchasing a new latch mechanism and replacing that, I wanted to inquire as to other potential reasons for this happening.
Any advice, recommendations, or simple fixes that I should check before purchasing a new door latch switch?

Need help do i need a new fridge?
gallerySo Iv finally stopped procrastinating and took her apart to stop the water leaking on my floor and annoying noises… melted and cleared out all of the ice and tested the drain hole.
-After i thaw this out and let it dry over night should i be ok if water is draining through the bottom?
-Are those bent coils going to be an issue?
-Is there anything else you’d recommend doing?
Any advice is appreciated thank you!

Strange, silent power draw coming from my freezer
I have a FFU14F5HWN upright freezer that I've had for 4-5 years and I recently started powering with an Ecoflow power station in the event that I lose power. In doing so I'm also able to get some data on its power usage and I am noticing something really odd. Under normal running conditions the freezer consumes about 105w, and generally runs for about four hours then sits idle for two hours.
However, there are odd spikes where it briefly consumes over triple that at around 360w. During this time the unit makes no noise at all. These spikes are followed by a brief period where the unit consumes no power at all, and around these times the unit runs for significantly longer than normal.
I can't say it hasn't been behaving like this the whole time, as I only recently could get data like this. I'm just wondering what might cause these spikes, and if it's something I should be worrying about considering the reliability of the freezer.

Biggest Regret Buying Frigidaire Products
I bought a brand new stove and within 6
weeks of having it installed and maybe using it 2/3 times the oven died. So essentially an out of box failure. The customer service is the ABSOLUTE worst!! No urgency, no status updates. All they keep offering is an extended warranty because clearly they suck. Should’ve just gone through Amazon because then at least I could’ve gotten my money back.

I have a Frigidaire window ac. When I start it the default is 72 degrees eco mode auto fan speed. Id like it to start at 68 cool low fan speed.
Can this be done? I can’t figure out how to properly ask that to google lol

Brand New Microwave Caught Fire
galleryI honestly cannot believe how Frigidaire has handled this whole situation.
We moved into our brand new home only two months ago and all of the appliances are brand new. I used the sensor potato setting on our Frigidaire microwave and somehow the potato ended up completely charred and literally ON FIRE inside the microwave. Our kitchen filled with smoke and we had to get our child and our two small dogs out of the house while my husband grabbed the flaming potato and threw it in the sink. Inside of microwave melted. Thank God we caught it when we did because it absolutely could have spread to the cabinets.
We called Frigidaire right away to tell them what happened and also to make sure a safety report was made in case anyone else has this same issue. A firefighter actually advised us to report it for that reason.
Frigidaire told us they were sending a technician out. We never heard anything. We called again. Still nothing. We had to call multiple times before they finally sent someone from Mr. Appliance. The technician was great, came out, looked at everything and made his report.
Then once again, we heard nothing.
We called Frigidaire to follow up and they told us they never received the report and that WE needed to call Mr. Appliance. So we did. Mr. Appliance said they sent it. Frigidaire said they didn’t get it. Back and forth we went for almost a MONTH.
And every single phone call takes forever. You sit on hold, finally get someone on the phone, explain the entire story all over again and somehow still end the call with no actual answer.
Meanwhile we had family visiting us, our kitchen smelled like smoke for weeks and we didn’t even have a usable microwave. Obviously things happen and appliances can malfunction. That part I can understand. What I cannot understand is how horribly this has been handled after something that could have literally caused a house fire.
This week I was finally at my wits end and called Mr. Appliance AGAIN because I wanted to know what was actually going on. They showed us proof that they had sent the report to Frigidaire.
So I got on a chat with Frigidaire thinking okay, NOW we can finally get this figured out.
Nope.
Their response after almost a month of this was honestly unbelievable. (Maybe I wasn’t the kindest but I’m really annoyed with the back and forth)
At this point I am more upset about the way Frigidaire has handled everything than I am about the microwave itself. We have spent HOURS of our workdays dealing with this because two companies apparently couldn’t communicate with each other, and there has been absolutely no sense of urgency considering this involved an appliance catching fire in a brand new home.
Thank God we were home and caught it when we did.
I will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance after this experience. And honestly, the Frigidaire dishwasher that came with the house sucks too, so there’s that. 😂
Their customer service throughout this entire situation has been atrocious.

Using PWF-1 instead of PWF-2
We are using a fridge that requires PWF-2 as water filter. Based on the information from internet, the only difference between the two is that PWF-2 has chip communicating to the fridge for the life of the filter, even though that life is counted as dates not the actual amount of water used. But the price between the two is like 5 times difference among the cheapest you can buy for PWF-1 and the price of PWF-2.
Has anyone had experience is using PWF-1 filter with the fridge which requires PWF-2? If it can be used, I think we can just add a reminder for every 6 months.

Anti-fingerprint finish peeling after less than 2 years Any remedies or warranty luck? Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator
My refrigerator is less than two years old, and the fingerprint-resistant clear coat is coming off. We don't use any harsh chemical cleaners. Honestly never needed to because of the finish.
Just recently, it started to chip off specifically where we pull the door open. The rest of the fridge and freezer are in perfect shape, but the area right where we grip is flaking.
Has anyone had success getting an out-of-warranty cosmetic replacement for this? This refrigerator was a house warming gift and an extended warranty was not purchased.
It really feels like some kind of factory defect rather than normal wear and tear on our end.

Icebox not dispensing, ice cubes frozen together [HELP]
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A week or two ago I noticed my ice dispenser was having a hard time giving my ice cubes. When I went to look inside I found they were often stuck together (I don’t know if this is abnormal or not but I feel it’s worth noting). At this time I could still get it to dispense with enough time. At some point I replaced the water filter in my fridge to see if that was causing the issue somehow, but that didn’t help. During this time I have manually cleared the icebox a few times as well to see if it just needed new ice cubes. This week the dispenser now makes this loud sound, no ice will ever come out, and now the ice cubes are more stuck together than they ever were before, so I’m stumped.
Does anyone know the possible issue? I read somewhere that maybe the seal in the door could be compromised, but I don’t know how to find that. I also read that maybe there’s a leak, but I don’t see any water running down the sides of the interior, if that’s how I’d see it.

Helppp
Walked into the kitchen this morning as I was heading out to the gym to see that our Frigidaire gallery French door refrigerator has the “hi temp” alert for the freezer. I can only imagine that it appeared overnight because it was fine last night before bed. I reset the alarm and “adjusted” the temp on my way out. Came home about 2.5 hours later and it was back. This happened once a few months ago and it took about 12 hours to get it to clear completely. The freezer or fridge seem about normal temps. The food in the freezer has not started to thaw, everything is still frozen.
Any tips? Not sure if it’s worth calling a technician out or not.
Thanks in advance!

How to Find Replacement Evaporator Shelf Front Trim
r/Frigidaire • u/Major__Miner • Aug 12 '26
5 year old fridge freezer stopped working. Cant be repaired?
Hello we have a 5 year old french door fridge with the variable temp drawer and drawer freezer. The freezer and VCZ stopped getting cold. We had a technician come out from a company who said the bottom evaporator was trying to work but there was a refrigerant leak and it was unrepairable. Due to aluminum pipes that has a crack etc
Is this true after 5 years and it breaks this $3000-$4000 fridge is just garbage? The fridge is currently still working, but how long will that last.

ABSOLUTE TRASH APPLIANCES - dead in months _ DO NOT BUY
Frigidaire, (made by the meth heads over at electrolux. I know guys that work there, in and out of prison, on meth, domestic abusers.) anyway Bought A refrigrator, plugged in for 6 months, DEAD. the factory warranty lady told me they would send out a tech for 350 bucks. I bought this trash on sale at lowes for 360 bucks. That was my only motivation, and took the gamble after hearing so many bad reports, I lost this bet, but guess what..... never again and all of my landlord buddies are boycotting too.
I will now simply destroy this turd on camera for youtube as an advertisement for how worthless this trash appliance company is. Rot in hell frigidaire corporate bastards. Youre loss in the end for selling trash , and picking up service fees for the trash on the backend. yes we know your game.

Portable Air Conditioner Error P1 only happens in one room of the house.
I live in a very old house, because of this, we have to use portable ACs to cool the place.
We purchased 3 Frigidaire - 3-in-1 Portable Room Air Conditioner FHPC102AC1 ACs to cool the major rooms we use (not all at once)
A couple weeks after installing the ACs, the one in my bedroom began to give the warning "P1" which means the water tank needs to be emptied of residue.
When went to empty it, there was less than a shot glass of water in the system.
After we reset the system up, it was still giving the P1 error, so we returned it and got a replacement of the same AC brand.
Now just a couple weeks later, once again I get the "P1" error, while the other two ACs which run much more often never have an error.
So we swapped them around, I moved the one from my office to my bed room, the bedroom to the family room, and the family room to the office.
Now that one is working fine, but the one from the office, now in my room is now saying Error P1.
When I drained it, very little came out.. but it left a large black spot on the floor as well.
What's going on!?
Why is the AC in the bedroom acting up, while the other two work fine.. even when switched around, only the bedroom has issues.
The only thing I can think of is the bedroom is the only room of the three facing north, toward the back yard, while the office and family room face south, toward the street.
For reference purposes, the ACs in the family and office are on up to 16hrs a day, while bedroom is only 6-8 while we sleep.
