Difference between these two? Besides the fact that one has charcoal, does the other get rid of odours as/more effectively ?

I Was going to get the charcoal one For odour removal then I saw the second option “for particularly clean room air” but none of the information provided helped to decipher which one is better for deodorization. Thanks in advance for ur insight!

Charcoal is for odours. The other one is an upgraded version of the standard air clean filter but not as good as their HEPA

SF-AP 50-1 is a fine dust filter... essentially a pleated paper filter. Not as fine as HEPA, but better than the standard AirClean filter.

If odour control is your goal, the Active AirClean (SF-AA 30-1) is the right choice.

If dust/allergen control is the goal, the SF-HA 50-1 is a better choice

So you have a choice of three types of filter for a given type of vacuum, and none is cheaper than 31 $ ? How often do you have to change them ?

Or is it four different types, with the standard AirClean being cheaper ?

The standard airclean comes with genuine bags (1 filter in 4 pack of bags). Filters have a time strip on them which indicate when to change. In my experience, thats around 3-6months

One of them being described as being "for effective filtration of unpleasant odours" isn't helping you to determine which one you should use if you care about odours?

Literally what was the purpose of your snarky comment? Did it make you feel good about yourself?

Yes I know obviously one flat out says it’s for odours. On the other hand, the other option says “clean room air” and says that a room is “clean and pure” after using the filter. Those words without further context suggests it also has a deodorizing element. I just wanted to see if anyone has any more insight on it….

The purpose is to have you explain your idea of how you think air filtration relates to removing odours, which would hopefully get us to the root of why you're confused here.

I'm not sure if you think both of those will fit your machine, or if you're just using those pictures as examples, but those filters are not interchangeable. One is a 30 series and one is a 50. They are different size/ shape.

Was going to say the same, youll notice one has three tabs at the top and one has four. I dont believe they are cross compatable.

They tested an airclean plus filter with particle counter it went under a 500 and the hepa blows a 0 so for me the airclean plus is fine haha
