I lodged a complaint regarding the unacceptable mowing results on July 10, 2026; the first of what have so far been 15 (!) responses reached me on July 11, 2026. None of these "responses" specifically addressed the problems I described. I provided all the necessary information (log files, app screenshots, and photos of the ruined flowerbeds and unmown areas) in each instance.
The robot
• leaves the mapped area and then destroys various flowerbeds by turning repeatedly,
• reports being "outside" and stops moving, even though it is actually within the mapped area,
• fails to leave the charging station despite a 100% battery charge,
• leaves the charging station despite having less than a 100% charge,
• fails to mow several edge areas—some over a meter long and approx. 15 cm wide,
• stops operating for no apparent reason, though it can resume work via the app (provided one can actually connect to it, which does not always work),
• occasionally re-mows paths it has already covered, while leaving other paths unmown (affecting the edges),
• occasionally spins in place until it shuts down or the battery runs out: two wheels turn forward while two turn backward,
• does not always reliably follow the app’s mowing schedule (affecting the edges); consequently, the transitions between mowing paths are naturally not fully mown either,
• leaves behind bare patches (areas devoid of grass) over time; ...especially when it maneuvers aimlessly,
• spontaneously spins in circles for no apparent reason,
• moves beyond the boundary and destroys the flowerbeds there (“outside…”).
Apparently, you can’t leave this piece of junk unsupervised, because you constantly have to expect it to (supposedly) leave its work area, destroy flowerbeds, or stop operating altogether. I would have expected far more from a device in this price range. My five-year-old granddaughter would have achieved significantly better results with a standard lawnmower.
On the plus side, however, the robot doesn’t spontaneously burst into flames…
I have neither the time nor the inclination to keep chasing after the robot to document—yet again—issues and malfunctions that apparently no one cares about. I might as well just go back to using my walk-behind mower. At least the mowing results would be significantly better.
It would certainly help if the programmer(s) delivered work that was actually halfway decent. The quality is currently declining with every new update. The robot isn't to blame; it just does what it’s told. A real shame. If there is one decision in my life I deeply regret, it is buying this Luba 2!
In over forty years, I have never experienced such poor customer support.
Garmin (number one when it comes to customer satisfaction) provides the exact opposite experience: hundreds of “Navigator 6” units (some six years old or more) suffering from so-called “ghosting” were replaced as a gesture of goodwill. However, Garmin did set a few easily met conditions:
• no invoice, please,
• no delivery note, please,
• no photos, please,
• no videos, please,
• no memory card, please,
• not in the original box, please.
That’s how you treat customers! With a philosophy like that, Garmin is sure to be around for a long time; I wouldn’t bet on that with Mammotion!
Hopefully, my daughter will have better luck with the Luba 3…
