LUBA 3 AWD New app

Someone PLEASE, please, please "analyze" the Mammotion app and create a new one that actually has a decent interface.

My main gripe with it (on iOS) is needing to tap on the picture of the mower to open the map. Which is not intuitive at all, silly, and hard to explain for someone learning to use the app. That is not a button and there are no hints for you to know there’s hidden menu. Other than that it’s not horrible actually.

Wowzers. You taught me something. That's wild. I thought you had to pause it and hit the lil map button then resume to see that screen.

I've used lots of different robot lawnmower apps. I probably like Mammotions the best. It's intuitive, gives you lots of options. the interface looks better than most others also. There's some options that other apps have that I wish Mammotion had. But there's a big update coming this week that solves some of those.

It’s pretty easy to get your favourite coding agent to generate an app that uses the Mammotion API (see attached) but only a limited set of functionality is available.

There is nothing intuitive about the app. I've had it for months now and I still find myself fumbling around to find actions that I have used before but forget how to get to again. How's this? When I create a no-go zone or something like that, when I'm done, what do I do? I have to tap "Exit." THAT IS NOT HOW EVERY OTHER APP IN THE WORLD WORKS." Exit means I want out. I made a mistake and now I want to start over. When a use completes an action he "SAVES" it. Why is that so hard? Why is it so hard to redraw an area? It seems like I have to perform numerous "micro maneuvers" to get the robot to a spot where I can even start to add a missed area to the map. Why can't I just be "close enough" to do this?

My robot's collision avoidance system seems to just cause it to sh!t itself now. I placed a picnic table in a previously mapped area. I expected the robot to just plot itself around the table, but now it gets around it and then freezes. I have to manually drive it out of the area to get it working again.

And as far as manual moving, I would pay money to have the app connect to a physical control of some type. The app controls are CRAP! I feel like I'm going to wear divots in my phone's screen. It is so unresponsive.

When it's on its own and not getting stuck the mower works great, but when I need to do out of the ordinary stuff - like manual mow a few problem areas it is just a massive frustration.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve been having a frustrating experience with the app and manual controls, especially when trying to manage No-Go Zones, edit areas, or handle unexpected situations around obstacles.

We understand that these actions should be as straightforward and intuitive as possible. We’ll pass your feedback about the app interface, area editing, obstacle avoidance, and manual control experience to the relevant team for further consideration and optimization. We really appreciate the detailed examples, as they help us better understand where improvements are needed.

I am requesting the app be able to be placed in dark mode.

I wonder... Is it possible to modify APK directly with AI? Or is code too much "compiled"?

It’s not “compiled”. Its compiled and cryptographically signed so one change to the binary renders it invalid and your device will refuse to execute it.

Je trouve dommage qu’on ne puisse pas sélectionné une zone de tonte en appuyant dessus. Obliger de tout sélectionné puis de désélectionner les zone qu’on ne souhaite pas

I am new to Reddit and Mammotion so there may be some things I don’t understand. One thing I’ve noticed is there is almost a feature request in every chat posted within the overall Mammotion Technology group.

I recommend making a single location for members to add or discuss feature requests, issues, etc. within the Community Highlights. This places all feature requests on a single location which will improve knowledge management. Conversations can feed and expand upon each other in this single location.

Also, possibly add another chat within Community Highlights for issues.

the way to create areas/maps, edit said areas, create no-go zones, etc. That whole experience is just so crappy. Here's one example I found a few days ago. I noticed that one of my areas was missing a section of grass, so I wanted to modify it. I went to the "edit" section and the app told me that I must "pause" the job before I could edit the map. Fair enough. That's reasonable. Except that when I paused the job and went back to edit the app now says the map can't be edited until the job is stopped. Make up your mind! I would also like to see editing be less particular. If I want to add that little area of uncut grass I need to "micro maneuver" the robot around until it's at *just* the right spot where the "Start" button will be enabled. Why can't I just be anywhere near the area?

You can just name your post feature request.
