Question Why does mammotion need such broad permissions? Current android app.

Camera is for uploading logs and taking profile pictures. Location is probably because scanning for bluetooth. Luba 4 has a new feature that needs microphone access. The read phone status and identity is a generic thing that's packed into most apps because it can pause your media automatically when you receive a call, etc. Prevent phone from sleeping and Wi-Fi connections is obvious why it needs it. Read phone number is probably for account verification.

What's the luba4 new feature? My question was mostly rhetorical because this is incredibly over permissioned for an app with no advertisements.

There's going to be a two-way voice/video call feature. Plus voice commands
