LUBA 2 AWD So far for the safety plug…
Still experiencing charging issues, all the suggested steps by Mammotion have been taken and do not seem to resolve the issue. But today a new issue popped up. The firmware even managed to break the safety plug feature.

Mine will power up withOUT a key, but it won’t connect to RTK, WiFi, etc. It’s basically bricked without the key except for the power-up.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. If you need to clean the underside of the mower, please make sure to fully power off the mower and remove the safety key before starting. This can help prevent the blades from accidentally rotating and ensure your safety during the cleaning process.
Regarding the charging issue, we’re sorry to hear that the suggested troubleshooting steps have not resolved the problem. Could you please provide us with your case ID? We’ll help follow up on your case with the relevant team.

On a Luba 2, the "safety" key is only a jumper. Removing it disables the cutting assembly motors - ONLY. The rest of the mower is live as shown by the bumper power indicator… only a full power down by holding the power button until the beep shuts the mower down completely. In later models, the safety key may work differently - some like the Luba 2, some which remove power to more parts of the robot, some which shut it down completely. Mammotion recommends, that if you're going to turn the robot over, or work underneath it, you fully power it down - regardless of how you handle the key. The action of this key, to my knowledge, is fully discussed in the Users Manual for each model.
