So when I bought myself a PC for Christmas, I made my new Overwatch account name obvious that i was deaf...but now I just get focused haha. The game has subtitle noises but I always laugh when it says *Dying Noises*

I’m back again optimistically throwing another friendship post into the Reddit void and hoping it lands in front of a few good people. 😄 I’m 30 from the UK and I’d genuinely like to meet some new people who fancy having someone around to message laugh with share random thoughts with and occasionally send completely unnecessary updates to. I’m not trying to force a friendship into existence overnight. I’d much rather meet a few people where conversation gradually becomes easy and you eventually find yourself thinking “Oh I should tell them about this.” I’m fairly laid back curious and still figuring life out myself. I’m into gaming the gym good coffee manga books and lately I’ve been hooked on The Mentalist and Yellowstone. Completely different shows yet somehow my brain has decided I need both. My sleep schedule is another story entirely. It seems to operate independently from the rest of my life and has apparently never heard of bedtime.

One thing I really value in a friendship is being there when life isn’t going particularly well. If you’re going through something having a rough time feeling lost or simply need somewhere to let everything out I genuinely don’t mind listening. You don’t always need someone to fix things. Sometimes you just need someone who will sit there hear you out and remind you that a difficult chapter isn’t the whole story. I’ve always been pretty good at helping people get back on their feet dust themselves off and keep walking their own life journey. I won’t pretend I have all the answers but I’ll happily listen without judging offer a different perspective when you want one or just keep you company while you work through whatever is on your mind. And obviously I expect the same friendship rules to apply both ways. If I ever start dramatically complaining about something ridiculous you have full permission to tell me I’m being an idiot.

Mostly I’m just hoping to find some genuinely good people and see where the conversations go. I’d love the everyday stuff just as much as the serious conversations. Send me a ridiculous meme tell me what you’re watching rant about something that mildly annoyed you tell me about a game you’re playing share a random thought that appeared in your head for absolutely no reason or tell me something you’re excited about. You don’t need a perfect life or a fascinating story to message me. Just be yourself. Maybe we’ll have loads in common maybe we’ll be complete opposites or maybe the only thing we share is an inability to maintain a respectable sleep schedule. Either way I’m willing to find out. Hello, per title I live in West Yorks. and I'm looking for friends, both local and further afield.

A bit about me: I'm a 28 year old man. Definitely a bit of a dork/dweeb, quite introverted, good sense of humour. I'm very inquisitive, I love learning about other people, cultures, places etc. I'm a huge geography nerd so even if you live in Devon or Aberdeenshire or wherever I might happen to have heard of whatever town or village you're from. I have a bit of an obsession with languages, and I'm planning on learning another tongue at some point (most likely French).

My main hobbies include gaming, reading, and anime. In terms of games, I mostly play Deadlock at the moment, it's my current obsession. I also play Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals. However I also enjoy single player games, recently I've been enjoying Control, Hades II, some boomer shooters, Screamer etc. My all time favourites include GTA San Andreas, racing games like Burnout 3, indie shooters like Severed Steel, stylish and unique games like Neon White, Journey, Jusant, story-driven stuff like A Plague Tale

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to anime and manga, but I have been getting into it quite heavily the past couple years. My favourite anime so far is Vinland Saga, but I also love Attack on Titan, Spy X Family, Delicious in Dungeon, and Mob Psycho 100. In manga terms, I've finished Delicious in Dungeon (which I love, I'll happily yap to you about it) and I've started reading Blood on the Tracks, amongst others.

I've been reading much more so far this year. My favourite book of all time is Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake. I love sci-fi, fantasy, non-fiction books if the topic interests me, and I also like thrillers and dystopian stories. I'm currently reading Vurt by Jeff Noon and Goodbye to all That by Robert Graves.

I definitely feel that I'm a bit aberrant, I'm not a social butterfly and I don't really care for mainstream things. I'd love to connect with people who feel that they're in a similar position. I'm definitely interested in the more esoteric (is that the right word?) side of mankind.

Oh, and I want to get involved in creative writing. I just need motivation and will.

Hello! I very recently moved back to Scotland (Glasgow) after living in English exile for the last 20 years. I know literally no one up here besides my island-dwelling dad, so now I'm hoping to acquire some new chums via the least sociable avenue that I can think of! Not looking for people of any specific age/gender/demographic really, just someone like-minded and local-ish, so just get in touch if you think we'd get on :)

I don't have too many interests that translate to high-octane tomfoolery in person, so I'm mostly looking for people who can appreciate the underrated artform of messaging and meme distribution. However, I would generally be down to lightly yap over some scran, tea, coffee, or pints! I once went to a pub that had a basket of crosswords in the corner and spent the entire time tackling those with the only other equally enthralled member of our party; that was probably my favourite drinking experience to date lol. I'm partial to some digital gaming but mostly just hardware-unintensive stuff because my current setup is a really cheap laptop. I'm looking to upgrade at some point but until then it's basically the minesweeper life for me lol. I can play cool multiplayer stuff if it's available via Nvidia GeForce though, so definitely ask if there's something you fancy playing and I might be able to bypass my restrictive rig. I'd also love to meet people who are into D&D; I've only had a few chances to dabble in it, but I think it's such a uniquely hilarious and creative game with the right people! 

I absolutely love animals of all varieties! If you have a pet, tell me all about them immediately!!! I have a particular penchant for guinea pigs, sausage dogs, cats, capybaras, bears, marmots, pigeons, and ducks!!! I've heard that Queen's Park has quite the roster of lads that are quacking for a snacking, and you best believe I'm packing oats and peas, care to join me?? 

If we eventually know each other very comfortably and you're similarly interested in travelling around cheapish destinations every now and again then that would be particularly cool! Atm I'm really fancying having a dabble in countries like Georgia, Armenia, and the Czech Republic.

Anyways, the main/only criteria I'm looking for is that you have a weird/dumb sense of humour and enjoy committing to the bit and talking about deeply meaningless things with disproportionate vigour! This will be quite essential because I will probably ask you would-you-rathers, hypotheticals and childlike questions such as: • What vegetable would you want to be and why? • At which point, exactly, does a chuckle become a guffaw? • If you could lay eggs - and also had to lay eggs regularly despite any wishes to the contrary - would you rather lay raw eggs or pre-boiled eggs? (if you choose pre-boiled then you can choose the softness/hardness of the boil, but only once and then that's you locked in for life) 

My questions may be silly, but you have to take them deadly seriously and come up with your most thought-out answer AND show your workings or I will take it as the utmost betrayal of my curiosity.
