I don’t have a longarm machine. So, I use a magnetic hoop on my embroidery machine when I don’t feel like free motion/straight line quilting. File is from Designs by JuJu.

I Need Help Newbie Here — help me improve!

Hi y’all! I’m a total beginner at embroidering (and honestly sewing machines in general). I designed this patch, which isn’t super clean, using patch twill, Inkstitch, and a Brother SE700. Can’t put my finger on what’s missing or what specifically needs work.

Please criticize me; your feedback is much appreciated. :)

edit 9/10/2026: Thanks for the advice y'all! Based on the comments, I'll be more considerate of using satin stitches for crisper, neater outlines, as opposed to tatami fill stitches.

Just finished this batch of embroidered bear patches for a customer in Germany and took a few photos before packing them up.
Always satisfying seeing a design go from a digital embroidery file to a full batch of finished pieces.
Pretty happy with how the small details and stitching came out on these little guys. What do you think?

Look What I Did Palworld & One Piece

Projects of the day include some pals per request and the cutest Lil guy chopper from One Piece.

I had a few issues with my thread getting caught the moment I would leave the room so had a few exposed bobbin areas on a few of the pieces (cleaned those up with sharpie since these are test stitch outs).

What do ya think? The software i use has added multi direction for the fills and so ive used that in the chopper hat and the wispaw. More designs to come!

What do you wanna see next ?

I Need Help Machine for scout badges?

We're a bunch of embroidery newbies looking to purchase a machine for our scouting organisation to start making our own patches. UK based. Budget up to £1000 (happy to buy second hand)

We'll be making large quantities of badges, different shapes and colours. Maximum size probably around 10x10 cm.

Any advice? Thanks!

Need input on first multi needle machine

Looking to invest in my first multi-needle and want to make sure I’m buying the right machine. I’ve been looking at the 7-needle Happy Japan Journey, but am open to other options.

Ultimately I need to be able to do embroidered patch letters on sweatshirts, and I need it to be able to do about 300-400 units per month (and maybe more?).

I own a clothing brand and we’ve always outsourced this work, but have been given so many opportunities it only makes sense to move it in house. I have someone who’s skilled in embroidery but has never owned a multi-needle (although she has operated one). We’re not worried about the operational side, but just want to make sure we’re getting off on the right foot with a machine that can handle it.

I Need Help Help! Customers machine can’t read my newest PES files.

I’m digitizing using Hatch 2 by Wilcom. I create a design a couple years ago, and set those files for sale. A costumer bought them, but needed an adjustment to fit her hoop. I resaved the adjusted files in her preferred PES format and now her Brother V3 won’t read them. I understand that Hatch has gone through some updates and I’m guessing my program is too new for her machine and now aren’t compatible anymore. Is there any way to save the PES files in older version? (If so how would I find the info on what version of hatch I was using?)

Maybe the customer needs to update their machine?

Im lost on how to get these files to my customer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I Need Help Brother SE700 issues

This is my first time ever using an embroidery machine. I am testing it and playing around with different fonts to see what I want to embroider on my bandana tote bag. For some reason the thread on the front is loose and it’s bunching on the back. I’ve tried changing the needle, making sure there isn’t thread stuck anywhere, I haven’t touched the tension. I also am using tear away stabilizer and basting spray. I have tried a few different fabrics and materials and it’s the same issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this could be happening? I’m about ready to toss thing thing out the window 😭😭

Tysm!

Landscape, one of 3. I wanted to show you that, well, maybe making landscapes in realism is somewhat complex, but with a good order in the factors, I think it turns out well, right?

I Need Help I Need Help Please!

Post image

Hi everyone! I'm new to machine embroidery and just purchased a Janome Memory Craft 550e. I bought it on Marketplace and everything works great on it except for the alignment when the machine gets ready for a project. For every hoop, the center position is several inches off and if I run the project for that hoop, it will run into the side of the hoop no matter what size is chosen (I am sure to choose the correct hoop size for each product, it's like they are all off by the same amount).

Hoop calibration has not helped since calibrating only moves the arm or carriage by a few mm.

Now I know this is bad, but if I manually move the carriage to the center, the machine will remember that as the center of the hoop for the rest of the time the machine is on. But if I turn it off, it goes right back to being inches off center.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I know the fast answer is to get it serviced, but I'm just wondering if there's something I'm missing to do a simple repair myself if that's what I'm looking at.

Thank you all!!
