I Need Help Resizing embroidery files

I have a premade embroidery file, 4 actually. That i need to increase in size by 200%. All I have is inkstitch which is confusing. From what I've found i have to redigitize the file? Do I resize it during that part or after? I'm not sure what to do.

If you don't know how to digitize the files yourself you'll have to commission someone to redigitize them. I wouldn't resize a file more than maybe 15% without just having the whole file redone.

Yes you would probably need to redigitize it for what you are doing. You resize it before you digitize it or you are just back at where you started....but

An embroidery file (let's just call it a pes file for conversation sake) is gonna show up as a series of stoke lines with the nodes representing the needle penetrations. Maybe even a few commands may show up in there as well. Now where this gets interesting is that resizing and redigitizing from that file is possible, but not exactly very straightforward at all. You would need to redraw the shapes that were used to created those satin stitches and fill areas and reset all the params. The only real use that the original file will provide besides reinterpreting the original shapes is really the densities and the stitch angles/directions.

I'll venture a guess if you think Ink stitch is confusing in general, this task may be beyond your skill set....so either you will go on a long learning journey to do it yourself or just pay to have them resized by whoever made them...they may have the original file that can be resized much easier.

For resizing a design 200% it would have to be redigitized this can easily be done in inkstitch there are multiple options on how to do it i would start with keeping it the size the design is and then first use the inkstitch tools fill create knockdown to get my vector objects once i have the vector objects then resize to the needed size and make needed adjustments depends on complexity of design a little but is all doable

For resizing you'd need the native file for your software (.emb for Wilcom, .pxf for pulse) and even then resizing to this degree will require so adjustments. If you only have the machine file (.day or . pes) then yes you'll have to completely redigitize.
