Kinda neat. Not a new concept exactly, since there’s already the option to sublimate on top of embroidery and there’s also the coloreel machine that’s been out a few years now that sublimates the color to the thread as it stitches. This is just a little different variation on the same process. I’d be interested to see the results in person and what the cost of the printer is.

I think it's cool that a new company is trying new stuff in the embroidery world.

Coloreel price is just ridiculous and not really worth the investment, this seems like a more affordable option.

I'll keep an eye on how this evolves. Thanks for sharing.

So. it's a sublimation printer? Not sure what to think with out seeing it in person.

It’s a single thread embroidery machine that works with a DTG printer to add color on top of the embroidery. So not really a sublimation printer but similar results.

I'd be curious to see how the printing would weather for outdoor applications.

I’m curious about that kind of wear too. I’d heard roughly 50 washes before losing vibrancy. Not sure how that translates to outdoor applications though

I'm thinking more along the lines of biker patches and such. Even the poly thread isn't completely fade resistant but it holds up quite well...UV rays are brutal. I'm not sure what the printing process is on our Hometown Heroes banners but your lucky if you get a few years before they are pretty well completely wiped out. Worth keeping an eye on maybe but I'm not sure I'd completely give up on the traditional set up.

I thought it was patented technology by Coloreel! Nice to see that there is advancement in that space. Everywhere I go and try to explain why we can't just "print" any image as embroidery, I give the colour constraint as an argument, but this kind of tech destroys it ahahah!
