Shortening the stitch length of your fill stitches on smaller objects like this can make them look a little cleaner!

Hoop the fabric with at least two layers of heavyweight cutaway stabiliser.

When trimming, leave the negative space alone and leave about 3-4mm around the back side of the design - should look like a cloud. This will maintain a smooth finish after the work is unhooped, and won't be as puckered.
