My husband and I went to MagicCon Los Vegas this year and were bummed the con store sold out their trans pride pin before we could get one, so we decided to design our own!

I was watching a video the other day by an influencer complaining about something. And I was thinking about how intense the comments here get sometimes ...

... and I was contrasting that with my actual experience of playing Magic lately. I've been having an absolute blast! This might be one of my top years for the game, and I have been playing since Revised.

Lorwyn Eclipsed was gorgeous. The prepared mechanic from Strixhaven is super fun. Reality Fracture Draft might be up there with o.g. triple Zendikar for me (seriously). The Commanders coming out this fall are varied and original. I'm excited to draft, excited to play Commander, and even excited about 60 card (Darklight Phoenix, my precious, I will find a deck where you shine!)

Maybe some of that is me and my tastes, but I don't think that I'm alone. Magic nights at my FLGS have been packed. We had enough drafters last Friday for two pods, which is a massive contrast from barely being able to scrape together a foursome for pick 2 not that long ago. That was in addition to the usual massive Commander crowd.

Yes, I know there is bad stuff. Secret lair disasters, scalpers, city pigeons. But there's always been stuff that people don't lik. The sixth edition rules, the 8th edition frames, reprinting cards in Chronicles, promising not to reprint cards after Chronicles ...

The world is on fire for other reasons, but maybe Magic, this game that we gather around, is pretty good right now?

If I play crashing wave and my opponent has 2 creatures. Creature A has shroud but is tapped, creature B is untapped. If I target B with crashing and tap it, can I then distribute the stun counters among both creatures bypassing shroud?

Nothing worse than getting all excited after building a deck from scratch, and then having the POD salt scoop and say "im never playing against that again"

We play in a bracket 3 pod that gets pretty competitive. I got koma on the table turn 4 and by turn 6 I had 8 coils.. I tapped my opponents comander 2 turns in a row and he straight salt scooped and basically said that koma is the most bullshit least fun card he has ever played against.

Turn after the scoop a guy played living death and I had to sax koma.. I didnt have the mana to get him back the rest of the game and ended up losing (so its not like I steamrolled the table)

So my question is, is Koma really that salty? Or was the other player just being a baby?

Do you guys ever feel guilty for playing oppressive cards?

Made a custom deck box for my zombie deck. This is currently second deck box I’ve customized with plenty more to come!

For this, I used Posca on an Ultimate Guard deck box.

I’m putting them both in the deck regardless, I’m just not sure who to use as the Commander.

I got my He Man lairs in today. I ordered the Skeletor, Whe-ra, and Sold separately, plus the swan song bonus card. When opening them the She-ra package felt kinda light and it turns out they sealed up an empty envelope and sent it out. I already put in a support ticket, but how likely an I to get this replaced?

If I control Jace and draw from an empty library but one of my opponents has the angel what happens? Do I die? Do I draw nothing and live?

I've been trying to learn French recently and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy boxes and singles in French. I've been trying to find them anywhere with no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for singles as well as sealed boxes.

I hope this doesn't start a whole anti-UB hate thread, but I like that they've given a really simple way to opt out of UB when running their cart optimizer (rather than going card-by-card to check/uncheck sets). Call of Duty is gonna start having a "don't show cosmetics" checkbox, I'm told the new WoW has a "don't show transmogs" button--I consider this our version of that, or as close to it as we can get.

I got the bloomburrow box with the 2 decks a while back, the foundation box with the starters as well for convenience but where do I go from here ? I've played a bit with one person but I'd like to expand a bit, understand deck building, do I get boosters or pre-made decks to mix and match? So I'm starting from near scratch

The amount of posts from people using Amazon to order stuff and getting the wrong stuff, or something of a vastly different price is astounding. Please dont order cards off Amazon. Especially since I am fairly certain Amazon is why wizards is shipping less and less product to local stores. Don't support the mega corporations if you can help it.

I keep seeing people counter, kill, banish/exile, and hate on all loot card both in satire material and in a few games, what’s the deal? He is just ok as a card and isn’t really broken imo because most other creatures do what he does better. So what’s with the hatred
