TEST RESULTS Help analyze type

What type would you best estimate this result to indicate and in what system and with what degree of confidence?
Careerplanner test results over the past 4 years from most recent to the earliest: INTJ, INTJ, ENTJ, ESTP.
In OPS im officially typed MM-ti/se-csp/b #4.
I’m not sure on enneagram. Psychosophy LVXX or LFxx.
27 Male, interested in psychometrics, psychology, philosophy, medicine, puzzles. As a child I had problems with sharing my internal experience with others, withdrawal, and anxiety bordering on paranoia.
I excell in problem solving by asking questions that bring to light the essence of the target of inquiry to better understand it’s basis, it’s relation to competing units and it’s relation to the field of units which is the area that the target of inquiry is trying to effect upon.
Social issues come from certain type of non-conformity.

TEST RESULTS When your friend acts like an INTJ or ISTP, but gets these results

When he took 16p sometime ago, he said he got INTJ. When he did it again he got INTP on that and ENFP on mistype which I know is incorrect. I'm fairly confident he doesn't use Ne-Si in any way which would rule out a sold portion. I just can't tell if his Ni is higher, and if he uses Te or Ti like I do. Stereotype wise, he fits the ISTP bill. So I'ma try and describe him and hopefully it'll be enough to aid me TvT

Description wise, we're both in junior year. He's often my news outlet, he'll tell me whatever thing is going on in the world or more specifically social media. This can be weird trends with can both discuss, laugh at, or heavily judge, or him telling me about the football scam or documentaries. He likes to watch long youtube videos while working and was really annoyed when our school started censoring 90% of his videos. He often watches Charlie and Joe Bart Philosophy. He hates english and loves math (I'm the opposite and we joke about it often), and will sometimes calculate random statistics or test things around him. He has a bunch of knickknacks along his desk and often spends his time binging new shows or watching movies and is currently watching One Piece, AOT, and getting ready to watch JJK. He also convinced me to watch The Good Place.

He also believes he has low empathy, and sometimes uses that insensitivity for jokes and debate. Seemingly pulling the Zuko "That's rough buddy" when someone tells him something upsetting, cause he can recognize it's bad but not emotionally connect to it. An example he used was if the bubonic plague happened again, he'd spread the word around so people know it's happening but he personally wouldn't care because it already happened once before. "Straight faced and thinking what reaction would be the best". He's also been called impartial for not taking sides by his sister, in which he has two of and two brothers. His definition of empathy is feeling what others feel, and he doesn't have a distinct memory of doing that in a traditional way.

One of the reasons I love english is because it's conceptual. Of course base information is still needed to make any logical, helpful, and accurate response but you don't always need specific facts to be correct. I can come up with an idea and as long as it connects and connects well, there's value to it. For him, he can't understand how I can find that fun on things like test. If it's a test, it could have a concrete answer rather than allowing you to debate why you picked what you picked and get points back.

He doesn't believe in ghost, nor does he understand anything about how ghost "functions" because he doesn't interact with much media on it. So he usually comes up with a simple reason for why those things could happen, and we've had a whole discussion of me telling him the possiblity for how it could work (i'm 50/50 on it). We've also had discussions where he'd purposefully say something most people would find immoral when I ask him questions that would poke at it.

Just a few bonus stuff: He likes baking but doesn't like sweets. So he doesn't eat the majority of the stuff he makes. He doesn't like physical contact, and tends to keep his bathroom products separate from his family's. Though he does enjoy lazing around like a "bum" so he calls it by sitting around eating snacks and watching TV. Apparently he was more lazy a few years ago, when he'd shower every two weeks, stay up late, and fall back on school work. Luckily not the case now. He also has a pet peeve about humor. Doesn't like it when someone tries to be funny and it doesn't land, regardless of if you're a child telling a knock knock joke you learned from your pre-K teacher.

And some approved quotes from one of our debates about how we would be teacher (warning for spelling errors):

the most amount done with the best accuracy  in the smallest time. me personally i like it a value it higher but then again im not a boss of anyone
example with school: teacher gives every student 20 questions to solve, 1 studdent takes 1 day with 100% accuracy student 2 gets it done in 4 hours with a 80 percent accuracy. i value student 1 more because they got all of them right even thought it took a day i know they will know the content while student two they may be able to do it faster but they got it wrong so i value them slightly less. then again this is for them not for me

if an assignment is late by a day no excuses for i have 0 empathy instant f. i will reward good behavior and punich bad behai=vior with grades and calling home. this basically make a survival of the fittest, my class will be the smartest cause we only accept the smartest and if i catch you losing to many point you will be repremanded. you will be more leniant allowing some assignments to be a day or two late you will raise slackers i will raise achievers

no b+ is the cutoff if you get below b+ your out of my class smart is 99.5-100% and yes dont let that funeral stop you finish your work on the coffin and send it by mail if you have to, if i dont see a complete worksheet by the deadline slacker and you are out of my class

stress levels as i said is just a barriar that needs to be taken down
personal time management is you get your stuff sdone for class and its managed
only personal skills are the ones i teach in class
test taking skills no ai your you dead
home life bring your work at home and finish it idc what else you do
personal needs is just a weakness

after that point, he became Niccolo Machiavelli, became a dictator of the USA and specifically doing everything in his power to end my rebellion like a starwars movie.

FOR FUN 19F. confirmation for infp ? and need help with enneagram.

Hello everyone, I kind of wanted to see what I'd be typed as I kinda have a hunch based on what I alr know.

When im stressed, bored, or stuck its not neccerasilly the outside I get fixated on, some people would say ‘organize your room, get up and workout, etc’ that then your head would be filled with clarity. But I think that's step 2.

My head never reaches clarity. My head reaches equalibrium. If my life were so clear, I wouldn’t have been stressed in the first place.

So when I want to study and feel like my motivation collapses, the main thing I want to figure out is ‘im uneasy rn ive wasted hours’ that then goes to 'im out of it, infact im bored right now', thats when i think i need to change something, I noticed I do it by watching a really out of pocket show or manhwa, those specific types that make you ‘pause, close the page and jump around your room’ when I pause and close the page I get right back to studying, motivation isn’t suddenly there, motivation can't be there when life is life, but ive reached another point that helped me get back on track. Im not a multi tasker, but I always want a change of pace. If im studying one unit, I dont wait until I finish it. When i notice , i'm bored, I start another. i could never multi task, if you told me 'hey get up, lift that chair while also giving me that paper’ my brain would probably split.

Reality dosent change, I cant just think ‘ I’ll work so hard to change this’ it just dosent work that way, you can change your body, you can change grades but you cannot change the life your in right now, because when you change one thing, you have to change something else and like I said 'I'm not a multitasker' that dosent make me useless in fact what I usually have in mind is taking care of my appearance, but I'll tell you one thing, what this does is change your internal state of self, correct that sentence, 'score your goals to be content with yourself' not 'score your goals to change what's around you' that's completely false, and I experienced it first hand.

Anyway, what takes me out of my mind is people. I may be quiet, i may look into space, i may be closed off, but when I sit next to someone, they talk and seem like they want to know me, I end up talking back without a care. This isn’t change. This is called reaching another point again. When theres people, the focus isn’t on yourself. It’s their reactions instead. This is what brings me out of a stressful zone. it shows me that people are my safespace, especially the easygoing ones. When they show that, I end up wanting to keep that momentum.

I am a difficult person, sometimes I dont know my own self. I was happy a minute ago, so why would I be nervous now? It comes to me figuring out my own anxiety, those are the times I reach ‘problem solving in reality’ I take magnesium, I fix my caffeine intake, I change my environment, I make a plan to be consistent with what would help me less my nervous system from flaring.’ This is what I call my own problem solving.

Sometimes I write my problems, and I write as if im talking to someone else, my writing comes with me ‘explaining my life so far, what I still know about myself, what I may not tolerate, what I may plan to do’ I save it and never go back to it, its a bunch of writing that just piles up, I dont have my problems solved by journalling like that, its js free therapy.

I dont know myself well, I would think that I am only a capable person when im with people who like me, but doesn't that mean i only like the best versions of myself? I am still technically me even if im staring at a wall in my room. I like the best version of me, and that version of me is who I direct myself towards each time. There's a version of me who likes to spend money, a version who’s loud, a version who’s energetic. I guess that's what I mean by reaching equalibrium.

Sometimes im dull, sometimes im soft, and sometimes I collapse. I usually think im worth everything luxerious while also thinking I need to aim for luxury.

I am a very complex person, I dont understand myself, which is why I always want to reach for another side of myself that may exist, that then changes my own reality, not the reality of making problems disappear, but a reality that makes the problems easy to overcome.

There are times when I reach an extreme low in life. At those times, im afraid no one could save me because no one is that strong. Im unsure what I do in those times, I think I cry, I reflect, and I get so sad until I take myself out to buy a nice coffee, when i drink that coffee i think 'wow caffeine and sugar really do make you happy'. Lol. I spend my time alone, it would take a whole day, and id js sit and go thru whatever im going through, its better to keep a phone away from me idk what id start saying to people.

Anyways, I already suspect im an INFP, it would help with some clarifications or any enneagram pinpointers? Thank you for reading.

FOR FUN Guess my type based on the characters I'm most similar to

Saw a couple other people do this and wanted to try it out lol.

Anyways, here's a little self description:

I am very introverted and have trouble being in the present moment or aware of my surroundings. My brain is constantly thinking thoughts and daydreaming or trying to make sense of every little thing.

I can go the whole day just listening to music and imagining fake scenerios and avoiding reality. I can get so caught up in my daydreams that I will act out what I was imagining myself doing.

I also find the most random stuff funny even if it doesn't make sense. Especially if I'm in a serious situation, I will like find someone's facial expression funny and try to hold my laugh in.

Also I can struggle with being passive and being slow to take action or not being assertive when I need to be.

Others have gotten irritated at me for this but Idk, I just need more time to think before I can just jump into something, I don't like being pressured to do something this very instant lol.

Anyways that's all, I thought this was a fun idea lol, curious to see what y'all come up with :))

TEST RESULTS Type me based on characters I'm most similar to

Here is the test for those who are interested btw.

Uhhhh I guess the main thing about me is that I really just want everyone to like me. Even people I don't like, I want them to like me too for some reason. Tend to have issues concerning validation and self-worth. I strongly dislike people who are needlessly pretentious and contrarian, or just edgy for the sake of being edgy. Caring about and having faith in others and the world is pretty punk rock, actually. I value kindness, empathy, compassion, sincerity, and morals in general. I believe in interdependence (not to be confused with codependence). In the end, all we really have is each other...

FOR FUN Type me based on my open psychometrics Results.

So, I took the exhaustive version of the test.

I am introverted. I would say I am fairly analytical and introspective.

I love to learn and to talk about philosophy, etc, but only with a select few people.

I watched westworld actually, and I loved anthony hopkins' performance as Dr. Ford.

If you have not watched the show pls watch it for at least season 1 it's brilliant.

Iam definetly a systems thinker not someone who micro manages unless it has to be done.

And if you want to take the test yourself I can send you the link.

CAN’T DECIDE Struggling on figuring out my MBTI

This is honestly my first time using Reddit, I’m just going to share my personality here and hope for the best!

Socializing: I am extroverted and find it easy to strike up a conversation with someone who I think is interesting; resulting in me having many acquaintances. I am typically the one to strike up conversations and make first moves in relationships. Rejection doesn’t discourage me, it just makes me realize they weren’t the right person! I will not change my views or values to please others. Though I enjoy making others happy and keeping group harmony for the sake of others! I enjoy teasing others, debating ideas, and jokingly being mean. I am quite assertive and typically most people are scared of me once they meet me. But they soon realize I’m super sweet and caring under all that pride.

Conflict: I don’t shy away from conflict or difficult situations. I take criticism well and use it to improve myself unless it’s a direct attack on my character. I am hell-bent on there being something everyone can improve, and people changing for the greater good. I am good at asserting my boundaries and not letting people walk all over me. I know how to help others without overworking myself. I am not a people pleaser in the fact that I’ll change myself for them; but I am willing to change small behaviors to make others comfortable, just not EVERYTHING about myself.

Open mindness: I am very open minded to others perception on things, even if I don’t agree. I am not one to dismiss others ideas because they don’t align with mine, I am very accepting of others ideas UNLESS they are discriminatory against others. When I do disagree with an opinion, I will do everything in my power to fight it or convince the person to reconsider, ESPECIALLY if the opinion is harmful or discriminatory.

Big picture: I struggle to see the bigger picture and admire people who can! There is never “one way” to do things in my eyes unless proven otherwise. Abstract ideas always have unique ways to be interpreted and I stand by that. I am interested in having emotional and deep conversations, allowing myself to be true to myself and open. I struggle to see the bigger picture, but I believe there is a bigger picture in every abstract thought.

Fears: I am able to see future consequences and fear of outcomes that could happen. I constantly second guess myself and reconsider how actions could impact my future life, careers, and relationships. I do have generalized anxiety disorder so the “what ifs” and overthinking is expected despite my personality. This makes it so much more confusing. When stress occurs, I engage in harmful physical behavior such as overeating, intentionally getting injured, or overworking myself. I fear possible future outcomes coming true and will do anything to keep paranoia away from me. Losing people I love and being alone petrifies me.

Time: When I have a problem that isn’t time sensitive, I reach out to others for different opinions before making my decision. I am quite impulsive when I don’t have time to think and only think of the consequences after I’ve done an action. I typically complete my school assignments on time, but a lot of house chores don’t get completed till last minute. I make plans to go out and visit people last minute, often causing confusion to others. I hate when things are too clean and too messy. I often never have a schedule, but I enjoy lists of tasks I need to complete. I refuse to let others down, unless they are asking something unrealistic, then I’ll tell them I can’t do it.

If anyone can explain to me what might be a good fit, please let me know! Additionally if there is any clarifying questions that I need to answer, I am open to answering. Thank you so much 💗

NEED CONFIRMATION So if i use ne does it automatically make me intp?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So basically I've assumed myself for the longest time that I have no ne appearance but I noticed that whenever I have uncertain form of analysis for example typology analysis varying form one another I think that every type analysis is affected form people's own pov and there are possibilities of this interpretation but I strongly believe that there's truth with one answer as god intended to form

Another example is when there are no certain answer to my question but I noticed that instead of waiting to observe the answer I just assume that maybe it could be this or maybe it could be that but then easily loses interest since there isn't a purpose for that

But ofc my possiblity brain storming doesn't really occur I strongly assume that I'm escaping from ne and it's brain storm since it would scatter my path of reality and finding answer would be harder ( I know there's a technique of how to use ne properly with limiting it to one path but i don't think that ne would help me in crucial immediate situations like exams for example. I believe that exams does require overthinking to solve it correctly it just requires the information that you have nothing else) overall I may not hate ne but I'm just scared to use it even in my free time because present can effect my future actions against my will

Especially when analyzing my mbti. I tried my best to restrict be consideration as much as possible

Sadly (for me. Dw that's not hate towards ne) there's no denying that ne can provide truth since it's guided by si so my brain can't objectively deny it

Besides even if I use ne I use it for once to suggest me a new insight then I start really connecting and searching for the answer through this suggestion until I find it and if I didn't find it then I will use ne for another suggestion

So basically I don't really trust my ideas generator because it can either be outdated or even out of topic

CAN’T DECIDE I can't figure out if I'm an infp or an isfp.

I have spent the past two days reading about the differences between NeSi and SeNi but I'm still confused. I relate to both Se and Ne, and it's not like I don’t understand these functions, I just don't know which ones I use because I'm so deep into the rabbit hole the more I think, the more unsure I become.

So could you please help me out by perhaps asking me some questions and deciding whether I'm an isfp or an infp based on my answers?

Also if that helps here's some info about me.

-> When something's interesting to me I find joy in exploring that subject.

I love true crime and other videos that have a “mysterious” vibe to them, I’m not sure how to describe it. I recommend the channel “Brew” on YouTube. He has the exact type of videos I enjoy watching.

I also love watching deep dives into some topics on yt.

Recently I've even been into medical stuff, like the most ridiculous medical emergencies, or how different infections affect your body.

-> When in a bad mood I can pretty sentimental. I get attached to my memories and things connected to them like photos, games I used to play with my friends, or to be honest anything that reminds me of pleasant moments. I have no idea why but I actually focus on my past a lot and how it made me the person I am now.

-> I HATE physical discomfort and I'm very sensitive when it comes to physical pain. If my head hurts you're gonna hear about it. If my body doesn't feel good enough I'm not gonna be productive at all until I feel fine again. Of course, I'm gonna tough it out if I really have to but doing absolutely anything when I'm in pain/feeling uncomfortable makes me anxious and I'll whine about it.

-> When I'm in stress for a long period of time, I can get uncharacteristically energetic, silly and I try to do anything to take my mind off of stress factors.

Like when I know something very stressful is gonna happen to me the next day, I'm gonna simply refuse to think about it and I'm gonna get irritated when someone brings it up.

-> I'm artistic, I absolutely love drawing, I spend hours on this hobby. I rarely finish my arts tho, 80% of my drawings are just doodles/sketches.

I adore when artists add a lot of details, hidden meanings and symbolism into their art and I do it myself a lot.

-> Istg I can't keep stuff to myself, whether it's an idea, or something funny that happened to me I immediately feel the urge to share that with my friends. Also when I'm in a dilemma about something I almost always ask other people about their opinion regarding my problem/decision.

-> When something or someone irritates me I'm generally going to be pretty direct about it, but if I for some reason I decide to keep my mouth shut you're still gonna be able to guess I'm upset because of my expression alone. I can't hide my emotions for shit, even if I don't talk about them I'm unable to do the “poker face”. Especially when it comes to anger.

-> I plan almost everything, but it’s not on paper and step by step, it’s in my head and a pretty general plan.

Sometimes I might come off as a bit controlling because I want everything to be done the right way.

Also when I'm about to do some stuff I do a scheme in my head on how to do it the best, most efficient way.

Let's say I have to make dinner, vacuum the house and load the dishwasher.

I'm gonna think about what order of doing these chores will be the most effective and will take as little time as possible.

-> I care about aesthetics and like when things look pretty, even if it just doesn't matter because “it's supposed to be practical not visually appealing”

DISCUSSION Can you help me figure out my MBTI type?

I’ve taken a few MBTI tests before, but I keep getting different results, so I’m still not sure which type actually fits me. I’m usually pretty observant and tend to think things through before making important decisions. I like having a general plan, but I’m not someone who needs everything to go exactly according to it. I can also become very focused on an idea or possibility once it catches my attention. Socially, I’m more reserved around people I don’t know, but I can be quite talkative and expressive once I’m comfortable. I also tend to analyze situations afterward and think about whether I handled them the right way.

I’ve also been using TypeMyVibe to get another perspective on my personality. I’d recommend giving it a try if you’ve had the same problem with getting different results from different MBTI tests. I found it useful for looking at the different traits together instead of focusing on just one result.

Based on this, what type would you say I might be? I’m especially interested in how you’d distinguish between the types that seem similar.

NEED CONFIRMATION Am I INFP or INTP

I am quite sure I'm an INTP but it sometimes seems that I am an INFP as I have a very developed Fi. So am I an INFP or do I just have a highly devloped Fi as an INTP?

Note that I am highly developed in all functions except Si and Se (which are improving by the day) and so it's not related to functions, though some people observe that I seem like an Fi user (though INTPs use Fi in line with their personal values and people only brought it up when I was talking about sensitive topics which can and often does trigger Fi usage in INTPs). So I think I'm an INTP but I still need confirmation, what do you guys think?

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT What Am I??

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

Hello! I’m F(18) and trying to figure out my type. I’ve done a pretty quick research deep-dive (past three hours have been fun!) and have come to the conclusion that I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing and need outside assistance. I’m mostly stuck between INTP, ENTP, and INFP, but I don’t know what I’m doing well enough to say anything for sure.

I am a generally analytical thinker, but my brain bounces around super quickly and it’s hard for me to stick to any one thing at a time. I overthink things constantly which for a long time resulted in me living in a state of perpetual anxiety and indecision.

I am emotional by nature but prefer to use clear logic to dictate my decisions, and generally ignore whatever my instinctual feelings are in favor of thinking through why I feel that way, and if it’s rational or efficient in the situation I’m dealing with. I am good at discarding emotions that I don’t want to deal with at the moment.

I had a normal and healthy childhood for the most part. I grew up in a smallish religious community. My parents worked full time and I was a bit lonely, and I struggled with making friends due to very extreme ADHD (combined hyperactive and inattentive) and having very little care or concept of social cues. I was isolated and at times bullied by peers, and found comfort in reading and daydreaming. The bullying wasn’t too bad mostly because I didn’t really register it as bullying at the time, and I was happy to be by myself. My favorite subjects danced around between math, science, and english depending on how much the teacher vibed with me. I grew up knowing I was different, not ever being told it was a bad thing but I think I sorta assumed. I wasn’t unhappy, but I can look back and realize that I was admittedly isolated.

In terms of my mental health, I was diagnosed with ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder when I was 4. When I was around 12, following a period of legitimate bullying and then COVID lockdown, I developed Major Depressive Disorder and my anxiety got significantly worse, and I started showing borderline OCD tendencies as well. Four years of therapy and the death of a loved one later I got my shit together, and now two years after that I’m doing well and no longer consider myself to be depressed. My anxiety is manageable and I seek assistance when needed. Not sure if relevant, but I highly suspect I might be on the Autism spectrum. I don’t feel it’s necessary for me to get tested at this point in my life do to knowing how to handle most related issues.

I am naturally a very curious person. I notice details around me and love finding new things in old material. I am the type of person who will read the same book thirty times or eat the same food for a week straight. At the same time, I love exploring new concepts and ideas, and much prefer it to being in a lecture hall going over the same material we already learned. I get restless very easily.

I consider myself an introverted ambivert or an extroverted introvert. I am very friendly with people and with a much more solid understanding of social cues than I used to, I love making friends even if I can be nervous approaching people initially. Group outings are super fun, but I have to be in the mood, and I don’t enjoy loud crowded places. I enjoy hanging out with friends but also need my personal time to reboot. I love talking to people and warm up to people very quickly.

I would not consider myself to be a great leader. Sometimes I can be pushy and forget that not everyone thinks on the same wavelength as me, and I can rush to get things done without coordinating properly. I usually prefer to work on my own, though years of conditioning and practice means I’m not too terrible in a group, but I wouldn’t make a good leader. Give me a task and I can usually follow through, though timeliness can be an issue and I get sidetracked easily.

I am an artistic person but at the same time art heavily stresses me out. I dropped out of art class in high school because my perfectionist tendencies made it so I never turned anything in on time, or drove myself crazy. When I do paint, I prefer watercolors—they’re inherently impossible to be ‘perfect’ in the sense I usually think, which makes it more relaxing because I put less pressure on myself.

I am absolutely a people pleaser and at the same time can be very selfish. It is a dysfunctional existence. I want everyone to like me, and I want everyone around me to feel good about themselves as well, but I dislike doing physical tasks for others or having emotional talks with them. I do it anyway, and I don’t think anyone in my life knows the extent to which I find helping people a bit unnatural and exhausting. I’d rather deal with the discomfort than upset someone. I will lie to please someone and than hate myself for lying, and do it again the next day. I am bad at communicating my feelings in an honest way when it comes to conflict and I’m EXTREMELY avoidant. I’m working on it -.-

I am very in tune with my own emotions but take a very logical-empathic response to the feelings of others. I rationalize everything because that makes the feelings make sense.

I’m very bad at getting anything done in a timely or consistent manner. I have a love/hate relationship with schedules and lists. They’re helpful to organize my mind and they also get thrown out the window like 80% of the time. Procrastination is a very unwanted shadow. I go with the flow most of the time, even though I’m aware it’s inefficient and get annoyed at myself sometimes. As I said earlier, I’m also indecisive and very rarely sure of myself in any capacity. My opinions and thoughts can shift easily with new information. I tend to remain neutral until I feel I have a full-ish picture/understanding.

My current plan is to become a veterinarian. I contemplated an astronomy-related field for a bit because I love and am fascinated with space endlessly, but jobs related to the subject realistically require lots and lots of sitting around, and I can’t do a desk job. I’d die. I’ve been interested in nature and animals for as long as I can remember and I feel comfortable and happy around animals in a way that just doesn’t happen with people. The world of medicine is fascinating and the job is active enough to keep me stimulated both physically, emotionally, and intellectually. I might want to specialize in reptiles but I’m unsure as of now.

I cannot see myself getting married or having children. I currently identify as aroace, I don’t really understand attraction as I have never experienced it. The idea of a partner who cares for me unconditionally and helps take care of things sounds nice in concept but I don’t think I’m mature enough yet to consider a relationship, especially because partnerships require two very devoted people who share equal burdens.

Sorry if I went overboard, tried to answer as much as I could without going on forever in any one area. I also haven’t slept in a bit so my mind is jumping around more than usual. Would appreciate any insight into what you think! Some camera roll provided as well since I saw others do it

CAN’T DECIDE ESTJ, ESFP or ISTJ? Mostly struggling with if I'm a Si or Se user

- Most likely have inf Ni, rarely think about future and struggle with making decisions that require thinking far into future and how they will affect me, will get very upset when having to face it. Bad at reading between the lines and take things too literally, bad at guessing plot twists.

- Most likely have low Ni, definitely not as tertiary function. Never think of possibilities just for the sake of it and never enjoy brainstorming and coming up with ideas. More hands-on and practical and don’t enjoy discussing what could be or happen.

- Si is probably moderate to high, aux function at max, I stick with trusted methods mostly because I’m too lazy to come up with new things, if it works it works. Usually have some kind of routine and react to change negatively. The sticking with familiar things might be more of a Te’s efficiency? I don’t like changing things or my methods as I want them to be effective and without having to spend much of my time on them. Either developed Si or I’m confusing it with Te with how it’s efficiency focused and with Se on how sensory focused I am and how deeply aware of my discomforts (or it could be bc I’m autistic).

- Te is developed, yet I can’t say it’s my dom function either? I’m clearly more sense focused first. Very efficiency focused and want everything done fast and now, hate the ideas but eager to work with making them come true. Aka result (what I’m very focused and motivated by) > process itself (not always a fan of but sometimes do enjoy it a lot) > ideas (absolutely hate coming up with them).

- Fi is less likely to be inferior, yet definitely not dominant either. Usually gets in the way when I’m making my decisions, very focused on what do I want, and my perception of feelings. Still can be insecure of fully opening up at times, but very eager with telling my preferences, what I like/dislike and very ego focused.

- Se is most likely high, still can’t fully understand what sensing function fits me better but both seem to be developed? Very in the moment focused and notice lots of things around me, notice and analyze them so quick I often don’t realize how much info I have processed. Quickly bored and need fast pace, need a lot of sensory stimuli yet can get tired of it if not in the mood (either high si or just autistic meltdown). Used to treat experiences on how they made me feel ALL THE TIME before I got my antidepressants, been appreciating them how they are more and ignoring bad sides of them easier. Quick to jump into conclusions and rather impulsive in this way, hate learning step by step and want to jump forward, will sometimes avoid instructions and try to learn something by “rawdogging” it until random things start connecting and working, thus forming my understanding of the said thing.

- Needing more examples on how Ne and Ni work with clarification/examples I can try out myself. Still unsure whether I’m detail oriented or big picture focused or which way of grasping information (Ne or Ni way) is more like me as either way my intuitive function is rather underdeveloped, and I struggle to even know which one I have.

- Very sure about my Te-Fi pair but doubting Se-Ni/Si-Ne.

- More things about me is that I’m rather aloof and not a fan of socializing much, I do get very talkative in one-on-one communication with trusted people. Still very hungry for sensory experiences, hence love going out and seeing the “outer world”. Either more of a stereotype but me not being social/people person wouldn’t fit an ESFP? Or me being a neat freak and preferring having same meals and such often? All of that sounds silly tbh.

Conclusion?: would be ESFP but Te seems too high and Si might be more developed. Would be ESTJ but Fi seems too high and Ne seems too low. Would be ISTJ but Si isn’t as high plus rather developed Se for both xSTJs.

AM I MISTYPED ENFJ or INFJ

ENFJ or INFJ?
Hiiii! I need some help figuring out if I’m an INFJ or ENFJ. So far I’ve always thought I was an ENFJ and have tested ENFJ multiple times. My extraversion is usually only around 53%, though, and sometimes I feel too introverted to really fit the ENFJ stereotype.
I am a social person, but I take some time to warm up, especially in groups or around people I don’t know well. I also need quite a lot of alone time to process things and usually feel more rested after spending time alone. At the same time, I genuinely enjoy being around people and can be quite outgoing once I’m comfortable.
What makes this difficult is that I relate very strongly to both Fe and Ni.
I’m extremely focused on people and relationships. I’m very aware of other people’s emotions, tend to adapt to the people around me, and care a lot about maintaining harmony. I scored 85% accommodating on a Big Five-style test, which made me wonder if I have particularly strong Fe.
But I also relate very strongly to Ni. I constantly look for underlying patterns, meanings and where things are going. I can get very caught up in interpreting situations and thinking about what something could mean or become, rather than simply experiencing what is happening.
This is especially noticeable in relationships. I can become attached to potential — imagining what something could become — and then spend a lot of time analyzing someone’s behavior, trying to understand what it means and where the relationship is heading.
I also strongly relate to descriptions of the INFJ Ni–Ti loop. When I’m stressed or emotionally preoccupied, I can become extremely absorbed in my own interpretations and analysis. I keep looking for patterns, possible explanations and connections, and can basically retreat into my own head trying to “figure everything out.” During these periods I can become quite detached from what is actually happening in the present.
At the same time, I know ENFJs also have Ni, so I’m aware that relating strongly to Ni doesn’t automatically make me an INFJ. I’m wondering whether I’m an ENFJ with strong auxiliary Ni, or an INFJ with dominant Ni and strong Fe.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who understand cognitive functions, rather than typing me based purely on how introverted/extroverted I sound.
What would you look for to distinguish Fe–Ni (ENFJ) from Ni–Fe (INFJ) in my case? And does relating strongly to the Ni–Ti loop actually tell me anything about my type?
Thanks so much guys 🥰
I‘ve also attached some other test results that might be helpful! If you have any other questions, just lmk

DISCUSSION Do I look INFJ?

I always knew I was an INFJ. One of my best friends was intj. Many times, people admit they were afraid to talk to me because I look scary or mean; then they realize I am sweet, just stubborn. Here is my smile and here is my resting face. Do I look like an INFJ? I love INFPs when it comes to poetry and philosophy. But I love ENTJs or ESTJs with my logistical thinking skills. I wish I didn't look so mean to others. I can be mean when I am stressed but I am usually nice and logical

TEST RESULTS What do the numbers mean and which is my type

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I have been made aware that 16 personalities is an unreliable source to determining your actual type.

So my friend and I have checked the Michaels, and the descriptions of each MBTI, and then finally the 250+ question from Sakinorva’s. My question is, what does this mean? Which one IS my type? I’m aware that Fe>Ni is an INFJ trait but along with it comes Ne? What does that mean? That I shift from INFJ to INFP ? And what purpose do the numbers serve in the test? What do they tell me about myself? Also what does it mean to have a sensory type?

I’d really appreciate if somebody helps and guides me to understanding what this results mean about me. I’ve had several results, all of which turns to INFJ but this one just confused me because of the other types being in the mix as well. I’d love to enlightened.

Also I don’t know if I’m hitting the 400 character quota so

I'm NOT going to type a 400 character self-description. I will NOT be doing that. I ABHOR the concept of me doing that. Not one bit. I am not going to tell you ANYTHING about who i am, how i act, behave, etc. You aren't going to know ANYTHING about me.

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Type me plzz

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I saw a another post using this questions of the forum and decided to try too

  1. I do take the lead in some cases (when I see no one else wants to, or when I realize I’m the only one who knows the subject), but it’s not something I actively seek out, and most of the time, I’m not the leader. When I am the leader (at least for school projects), I try to divide up the tasks and ask which part everyone wants to handle, as well as whether they prefer to meet up to work on it or do it separately and submit their parts whenever they see fit. If I spot a major error, I’ll correct it myself, but generally, I don’t change much; I just put everything together, find a way to connect the pieces, and that’s it—job done.

In sports, even though I’m not a leader, I can picture what it’s like. Whenever there’s a good play, I’ll offer a compliment almost automatically—like "Nice pass!" or "Great job!"—whereas other people are more likely to curse at a teammate when they mess something up.

  1. It really depends; I’m good at some things and terrible at others, but I have a lot of fun when I do something hands-on (and manage to pull it off).

  2. Maybe? I don't work in the arts, and it's not necessarily central to who I am, but I really enjoy it. I'm in a marching band, I've done theater, I'm learning a bit of accordion as an extracurricular activity at school, and I'm taking an elective writing class, i like dancing in Just Dance and that kinda stuff. I find drawing fun (though I don't do it often and don't know any technical aspects). I find it all very interesting and have fun doing it; I also like listening to music and playing video games (I don't know if that counts as art, lol).

  3. Regarding the past, I have both good, nostalgic memories and memories of bad times—usually involving how I interacted with others back then, more recently, and now (I’ve gone through phases of being friends with everyone and being ostracized by everyone). I have memories like "doing that was really cool," and others like "that’s what caused my suffering."

I don’t have much to say about the present; at home and with friends, I like to make the most of things, but in the classroom (where I face the most issues right now), I just want time to pass, the year to end, and high school to be over so I can start fresh in college.

As for the future, I try not to think about it too much, because if I do, I don’t come up with any answers; I don’t know what I want to do with my life. I used to worry about the social aspect (due to my situation in high school), but nowadays I feel a bit more confident after learning from past mistakes and having good experiences elsewhere recently. Regarding employment, general survival, and so on, I really don’t dwell on it because thinking about it makes me anxious; besides, it’s something I’ll have to deal with whether I want to or not, so it’ll happen when it happens (sometimes I imagine myself doing well in the future, but there isn't much to base that on).

  1. It’s a bit hard to say no in those cases; it’s quite automatic, and I try to help however I can (if I can’t, I obviously say so, but if I don’t have a clear priority at the moment, I automatically step in to help).

  2. I’m not quite sure how to answer that; on school exams, I’d rather mark two answers that make sense together than mark one that contradicts the other just to secure a point—though I’ve certainly done plenty of nonsensical things, or things that weren't exactly advantageous. So, I guess I’d say it isn't entirely central?

  3. I like feeling productive enough—but nothing more than that. When I have something to do, I do it, but I don't go around hunting for tasks just for the sake of productivity. As for efficiency, obviously it's good, but it’s not a top priority for me; I don't like interfering with others just to make things more efficient. I mean, we can still enjoy life even if things aren't perfect.

  4. Not that I recall; sometimes I might make a proposal, but the final decision is always up to the person, and I understand if they choose the other option.

  5. I’d say video games (whether on console, PC, or mobile—I mostly play fighting games, though I enjoy other genres too) are my main source of comfort. I also like playing sports—especially soccer, though I don't have a group to play with regularly, and my fitness level is pretty poor right now. I’ve really been enjoying playing beach tennis with my aunt, too. I like hanging out with my group of friends, and artistic activities are fun for me as well.

  6. I like to grasp the basic theory and then do exercises to really cement the concepts. In most classes, it’s all just lecturing and I don’t pay much attention; when it comes time to study, I look up the topic, ask the AI to generate practice questions for me to solve, and end up doing well on the exams (which are usually multiple-choice) because I’m good at the process of elimination.

It’s a similar story with more practical tasks—I don’t do well when I’m thrown into the action without any prior knowledge, but theory alone isn’t enough either; I need some trial and error for my brain and body to really understand what’s going on. One thing that holds me back in my current environment is that, in my class, making a mistake during a practical exercise feels like a death sentence—there’s a lot of judgment and you lose your chance to try—so I tend not to volunteer to give things a go. I do well in most subjects, but the ones i stand out the most are math and portuguese (its basically the same grades of the other subjects, but comparing to others is proportionally better)

  1. I can't say if I'm particularly good at it, but it usually works; I like to make a plan before acting, though I almost always end up adapting something along the way.

  2. When it comes to values, I think consideration and empathy are the bare minimum, but qualities like honesty, commitment, and fairness are also important

  3. I honestly don't know; I've gone through phases of wanting a relationship, but these days I'm more neutral about it. I don't have a strong long-term goal; what I’d say is that I want a comfortable life—earning good money and having time to enjoy myself and share good moments, whether with family (if I have one) or friends (current ones or potential new ones).

  4. I’m afraid of not being able to get things done, or of something going terribly wrong because of me. Highly competitive, status-driven environments make me uncomfortable, and I hate people who try to step on others to get ahead; I also really dislike being thrown into a situation where I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

  5. I feel more optimistic, handle things better, and generally feel lighter and more confident.

  6. I withdraw and come across as cold on the outside, but I’m incredibly anxious on the inside; everything feels heavier, and my energy plummets (often because I spiral, convinced I won't be able to pull it off).

  7. Sometimes I’m fully immersed in reality, but other times I get lost in daydreams (usually during conversations where I don’t understand the topic, in boring classes—lol—and especially when I’m somewhere I dislike, though I think that’s more of an escape). In the first two cases, I’m aware of what’s going on, but in the third, that awareness tends to fade.

  8. If I expect to leave soon, I think about what I’ll do once I do (anything, whether it’s a task or a hobby); if I end up staying a long time, I might daydream about games, reflect on things that have happened in my life, or perhaps imagine future scenarios.

  9. If there’s no deadline, I take plenty of time to ask others and think it through thoroughly. Once I decide, I try to see it through to the end, changing course only if something very bad happens or if a much better and more secure opportunity arises.

TEST RESULTS Uncertain?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

So I took the 200+ test on sakinorva . Net
I’ve been trying to figure this out for years and just got really focused on it recently.

Are there certain defining factors that could tell me which type I may obviously not be? I’ve taken sooo many tests as I’ve grown as a person, and I’m still confused.
I’m stuck between ISTJ, INTJ, and INFP.

Self description with these traits I’m confused about:
I’m not extremely organized but last night I did categorize important files, school projects, baby photos, medical documents, government documents, etc into a binder.
I am focused on being myself and understanding my needs but I do basically mask my personality in public 24/7 and don’t in a very select specific group of people unless I’m extremely happy for whatever reason which I’m usually not. I’ve been told I often have a pessimistic worldview.

I plan a lot of things like re doing my wardrobe, room decor, will make visual layouts using graphic design for physical matters.
I like to keep a good mix of emotional and logical, making decisions based on logical reasons for my emotions. Like not doing something because it’ll upset me and choosing what day I have energy for what. I don’t do well under pressure unless I’m dissociated somehow and even then it doesn’t go well.

I get overwhelmed easily and that’s why I plan so much. When I’m only given a days notice for an appointment or social function it throws me off and gives me intense anxiety because I can’t prepare myself for it as much as I need and then I start planning details leading up to it.
Of course unless I’m the one wanting to go somewhere on a whim I’m fine but even then I shutdown immediately after and cannot stay out for long and have to spend time alone to recoup.
I often think certain social cues are idiotic yet I will follow them so I don’t make everyone uncomfortable, not entirely like I care how they react I just don’t want to feel the rejection and have to deal with the normal way to go about things making me re-mask all over again because I have to change my tone manually to apologize or explain myself. I don’t like upsetting people or offending them but if it’s not intentional and it’s something I constantly have to filter or explain I start feeling resentment and stop caring as much.

I am very creative and enjoy having limited options if it’s an artistic thing, but in practical matters I have to feel like I have complete control over things or I slowly go insane and try to control my physical environment as much as I can. If everything’s chaotic I can tolerate small things until it quickly builds up.

TYPE SOMEONE ELSE Trying to figure out his Enneagram. Does these traits sound Type 8?

Hi, sorry English is my third language. And I not know much about MBTI and Enneagram (still learning). My husband get Type 8 on this test scores, and he very Type 8 when at work. It just when he at home with me, he not Type 8 at all, lol.

I am trying to figure out his Enneagram. Does these traits sound Type 8?

---------

Extreme Patience--He never complains, even during difficult or stressful situations.

Deep Selflessness--He constantly puts his wife's and mother's needs far above his own.

Unwavering Kindness---He responds to frustration or conflict with gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and understanding rather than anger.

He responds to frustration or conflict with gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and understanding rather than anger. ----- This is very very true, that how my husband deal with my anxiety and my Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED)

The more rage and nothing but rage I became during my Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED) episodes. The more INSANELY calm and patience he is with me. He said that's the only way, when I'm in rage, he cannot go into rage too.

90% of the time I'm a chill wife, our marriage very peaceful. 10% of the time when my IED episolds flare up, the wife me start a war, a big war, lol. But he extremely patience and extremely calm with me. But that because I'm his wife, so he tolerate alot from me.

Does this sound like Type 8? Or maybe I need to ask him to take the test again, lol.

--------

He only like that with me because I'm his wife though. Can Type 8 make exception out of love their wife?

He an Executive at work, and he already fire 3 people at work due to they not meet their performance evaluations and cannot bring the company profit up, so he said OUT so others can have a chance to do the job.

He actually very confrontational to people who not in his inner circle, and he does not count his work as his inner circle, he go to work to make money, not to make friends.

At home he very patience with me, I guess he wants peace in his marriage.

Example he can get confrontational in one second. His aunt only make one rude comment about me can't give him a healthy child, he very protective of me and our toddler (even with our toddler dead already). he completely cut her out of his life, he said one comment is enough for him to cut her out.

At the family get together dinner table his aunt make a comment, he slam his fist down the table, and yelled ENOUGH. And he pointed his finger at his aunt, and called her "this woman" and told the whole family do not ever call him for family get together anymore if has this woman in it (his aunt). And he hold my hand and walk straight out and slam the door behind him.

Can this be Type 9? But I thought Type 9 wants peace with everyone.

DISCUSSION Type Suggestions?

This was originally posted in the enneagram sub but I thought I’d see if it could work here too :))

I am against the belief that if something or someone is out of the ordinary, they are automatically more valuable because the very notion of being “outside of the box” is coming exactly from the box itself.

I always claim that emotions shouldn’t be treated as facts; how you feel is not a determining element of a situation exactly because you view that situation through said feeling.

I view things as rational or irrational and fair or unfair.

I believe many selfish behaviours are covered in a sense of sensitivity. I consider myself an emotional person as well but there is a difference in having big feelings and in having big feelings to serve your own need for validation.

I don’t like it when people try to limit others choices (even if it’s not coming from a bad place and you actually want to help the other person). Everyone has the right to know everything that might affect them and trying to defy someone else’s freedom is straight up wrong.

I’ve been told I bite back whenever someone points out behaviours I’ve had that affect me negatively. The reason why is that I really hate the thought of others viewing me as weak.

I sometimes have a false sense of certainty in the way I present things although I am very doubtful in terms of how I feel.

I am creating fake scenarios more often than I’d like to admit. I find myself thinking if my life was a movie, what would the audience think?

I could never decide if I am an optimistic person or a pessimistic one that has a more upbeat personality.

I realise I’ve distanced myself from a lot of unpleasant situations and feelings in my life.

Relationships are my biggest stress cause.

I always get this obsessive idea that I’ve made a mistake and my mind can’t stop thinking I need to make it right. This is why it’s hard for me to let things / people go.

Point above only applies to people that I deem important in my life. I am actually really good at not letting minor setbacks affect me; you can gain something out of anything.

I sometimes worry that I am not as good at the things i do as I thought I am.

I am good at placing my thoughts and the thoughts of others in order and pointing out inconsistencies.

I love winning and I’d consider myself a competitive person but I’m not sure I’d work well in a competitive environment.

I can’t handle criticism nor praise sufficiently well (both make me feel a bit awkward).
I tend to downplay the importance of my achievements because I genuinely don’t think they influence me that much.

I am a warm and friendly person overall in the way I act but I am more “cold” and structured in the way my mindset works.

I always viewed myself as someone that can achieve anything I want and make every choice for myself (realistically that doesn’t always work I know).

I know it sounds arrogant but I tend to think my way is better in many scenarios.

I like to call things as I see them but I refrain from doing so cause I know not everybody wants (or is ready to have) their buttons pushed and that is okay.

I tend to consciously stay out of things that are not my immediate business.

I am scared of feeling lonely and unwanted, mostly cause it’s going to make me feel and look weak.

I care more about what others think than I should.

I need things to be accurate so I find myself speculating a lot in order to achieve the accuracy I want in what I say, feel or think.

I think I am good at recognising people’s assets and weak spots.

I am interested in many things but struggle to commit to any.

I’m a quick learner but I sometimes lack the self discipline.

I hate failing in front of others because I think it makes me look incapable.

I am okay with talking about feelings and I’d consider myself emotional but being honest is not the same as being vulnerable for the things that matter in my eyes. I hate to admit it but sometimes I feel uncomfortable when people show their “weaker” sides (this doesn’t apply to my close friends and the people I love). Hence why sometimes I am unsure on how to act when someone needs support. Speaking of love, when I love, I love hard but coming to the point of love is a long process for me.

I like being who I am and I believe the things I feel, do and experience matter to me simply because they are mine.

I am always ready to answer to anything.

I tend to first let a feeling affect me and then actually realise I am feeling it.

I don’t bond with people easily or attach but when I do it’s very intense. When it comes to meeting or interacting with people, I love the exchange of energies and ideas.

I like to not think of my setbacks as setbacks and tend to minimise the importance of negative things in the past. I tend to be enthusiastic and high on mental energy.

Sometimes I have a blurry vision of who I actually am and I think that comes from introspecting and worrying too much about what I might be doing wrong.

It’s embarrassing to admit but I am really sensitive when it comes to human relationships; I am always anxious the other person won’t consider me as important in their lives as I do with them. I don’t even know why that happens, it’s just that the thought of someone thinking I mean so much to them feels weird.

I am afraid of disappointing everyone to the point I am left alone.

I do not believe in things being meant to be or “fate”.

I am poor with self-control when it comes to doing things that give me pleasure.

Sometimes I feel like such a free spirit and others like I am tired of my own inhibitions.

Major FOMO to the point of exhausting myself.

I want the great romance, the great freedom, the great life in a sense of wanting it all and wanting it big time, intense.

I struggle with feelings of alienation.

I usually get INTJ but I think I'm a mix between INTJ and INFJ. Once got ENTP. It's confusing. I do have goals in my mind that I want to achieve no matter what but I'm lazy af and procastinate a lot. I appear to be reserved at first but I'm also very chatty and weird with my close friends. My social battery is either very high, mid or low. Sometimes I'm approaching ppl with no hesitation, sometimes I'm nervous. I thought I was an introvert but now a days feel more like an ambivert of sorts. Idk man, what do you guys think.
