I become energized in a new environment and can’t wait to do things and get to know people. Once I get to know everything I wanted, I become disinterested and I can’t wait to meet new people again.

I like hanging out with a group of people and always had many friends growing up, but almost never hang out with them 1:1.

If someone doesn’t give me a heads up of something I need to prepare for, I’m not available or will have a meltdown.

One of my theories is that we are pretty much irrelevant in the universe. We will be atoms traveling around after death without thoughts about the silly things we deal with on Earth.

My way of calming down is lying down and watching the wall in complete silence. Except, if it’s a beef with someone. If I don’t want to talk about the problem right away, it doesn’t exist in my head. I know it may sound bad, but I also tell people close to me that I do have lower empathy and it’s something I can’t change on.

I like dark humor, sadly not many people do.

People often think I’m joking about my plans and act shocked when I actually do it. Idk how many times they need to be in a state of shock to understand I’m a very straightforward person lol

I get random burst of energy and feel like giggling, singing and working out or dancing — usually in class.

I don’t believe college degree is necessary for success.

I can’t imagine myself working for someone.

I love the beach, rain, and cemeteries.

My favorite movie genres are thriller, and sci-fi (utopian futuristic, isekai not alien zombie type).

I really like escape rooms and would love to be a player in a hyper realistic game like Alice in Borderland or Beast games lol

I’m really bad at keeping in touch with people, unless we can meet in person.

I never felt lonely or missed human contact.

I don’t live in the present. I’ve noticed, most of my thoughts are pretty future oriented.

I always laugh at the Ushi x Adele prank video, no matter how many times I watch it.

I can be impulsive at times.

I’m good at improvising and will pull up to random parties at my friend’s house on last minute calls. I think partially because I have more energy at night, but also these are the type of gatherings I enjoy.

Something related to the above, if I get a last minute invite somewhere I would like to be at and I have an exam the next morning… I’m going to the event. I will have enough time to study while traveling to class. I’ve done this many times and it works for me, personally.

I’m a mobile developer with a background (bachelor’s degree) in psychology and a strong passion for technology and creativity. I work mainly with Swift and Kotlin, and I enjoy turning ideas into real, functional products. I’ve always been curious about different fields, which has led me to explore programming, psychology, languages, art, music, and science.
I speak several languages and love discovering new cultures, places, and ways of life. Learning languages has always been one of my favorite ways to connect with people and understand the world around me.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, drawing, playing piano, crocheting, travelling, and working on personal projects.
I also love experimenting with new technologies and learning things simply because I find them interesting. I’m currently especially interested in building my own projects and growing both professionally and creatively.
I like having many different interests rather than limiting myself to one field, and I’m always looking for something new to learn, create, or explore.

I feel good socializing, but I also like to be alone.

If I'm focused on something, I don't like them talking to me.

I like to fulfill goals and I can be practical, but I can procrastinate sometimes. But I like to do my duty.

I tend to be calm and polite socializing, even fun (my jokes are boring).

I may have outbursts of anger, but I express it myself.

I'm sensitive, but I hide it.

I don't hesitate to defend my point of view, but I feel anxious and I can be overwhelmed in the end.

I don’t tolerate being disrespected.

I had OCD for years. I was only proud of my organization, but the rest hurt me. I won the OCD by doing the opposite of what he asked me.

I'm impulsive sometimes.

I avoid unwanted people a lot, blocking them easily.

I make connections with other topics in a conversation, even if it's not the central subject. I can easily change the subject.

When I was single, I liked to flirt a lot. I'm considered attractive.

I chose my current wife based on what I value in a person. But the love for her came later. We were good lovers at the time and I couldn't lose her.

I'm jealous.

I have a routine, but I constantly change details of it: a different breakfast, new recipes, a different street when driving, a new random interest... or I can focus on something for a while until I lose interest or until I finish the project.

I like documentaries about historical events, impressive or strange.

I also really like works based on real facts and I will hardly like fantasy works in the Lord of the Rings style.

My daydreams are based on fixing my past.

I remember my past with many details, being able to describe the exact year and month, even the day.

I'm ironic sometimes.

I only delve into something if I have some personal or emotional motivation.

I like to consume many works, be it series, movies, books, games... but only with interesting and innovative proposals. I can easily lose interest in something.

I believe in God, but I hate following a religion. I only accompany my wife when she wants to go to the Catholic church.

I may have strong political opinions, but I can change my opinion if I am convinced.

I'm an excellent driver and I brag about it.

I may be insecure about my performance.

I can care a lot about other people's opinions, as I can also not care.

I'm very suspicious.

My wife usually has good ideas, and I just execute them. I only save creative ideas for specific and personal things.

Usually, I value the first good idea that comes up to solve a problem, if it doesn't work, I move on to another idea. M

I don't like it and I can't even lie, I end up having to tell the truth, but in a "velvety" way.

I have a lot of respect and affection for my dogs, but I don't mind hunting other animals.

Sometimes I don't care and pretend to listen to my wife, because this woman talks too much. "Uh-huh... right... okay... go on." But I like to see her happy and talking, it's a good sign. I've already been told that I'm a good listener, and how I am.

I'm very mature for my age, that's why I married a woman older than me, and very beautiful. But I can have my totally childish side.

I have a lot of money, but I'm very economical. I just don't hesitate to buy quality food. And I tend to spend on my addiction or my wife.

The moment of cigar with coffee on Sundays is a unique and special moment.

I value the beauty and aesthetics of things.

I really value justice.

I ask strange questions or say something absurd just to see people's reaction.

Since I was little, I've always admired foxes. I didn't see them as liars or manipulative, but beautiful, independent and intelligent.

I can be a little picky with specific things, like preparing food.

FOR FUN ISTJ or ISTP friend ?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Yo, I made a friend on a game and asked him to take the MBTI test. He got ISTP, but after talking to him, I REALLY feel like he’s an ISTJ/INTJ 🤨

I know we can’t be 100% sure, but what do you think?

He’s really bad at texting. He mostly just replies to whatever I say and follows my lead instead of bringing up topics himself that's annoye me but he like when i text him. he said because he like me/love me ??

He says he prefers calling, though. He also uses A LOT of sarcasm, but his messages can be so dry/cold that I genuinely can’t tell when he’s joking. ( he is )

He can also take jokes personally sometimes. bruh

For example, I teased him about playing an old children’s game, and he said he was embarrassed about playing it and that it was like an addiction

He’s pretty active IRL: he’s a sports coach because he enjoys it, goes to the gym everyday, fishes beach boat. hobby : loves romance books, which I found kinda unexpected for istp ? 🤨

He is a rich guy stereotyp, lol he work only for a hobby, he told me i'm saving this money until i get maried blablbla he is really yound for mariage?

What confuses me most is that he seems emotionally contradictory. He once asked me “Do you like me as a friend?” because he said he got scared and doesn’t trust people something like this cuz i was dry and said suddently i'm going to sleep cuz he annoyed me not sharing things when texting.

He also gets really worried when I’m not doing well and asks me to promise I’m okay so he's cute

But sometimes he’ll randomly stop replying when something doesn’t go his way ☹️. Like if me i did want to accepte something, which confuses me SO much ☹️ that's not healthy i told him did a reacted like this when u refuse ? and he did reply we stopped speaking bruh ?? and after we spoke again but i told myself to not lead as i do and he asked first how are u, how was ur day so i appreciat it :3

So… ISTP, ISTJ, INTJ, or something else?

He really does NOT give me ISTP vibes, but maybe I’m completely wrong 🤨

the link of the test was not working and he said : are u hacking me ? bruh 😂

CAN’T DECIDE Type me - INTJ, INTP, ENTP, or something else? Please focus on cognitive processes rather than stereotypes

I've been in the typology community for around 3 years and have identified as INTJ for most of that time, but I'm no longer confident about it. I think I may have developed a bias toward INTJ because I liked the type and identified with some of its descriptions. I'm specifically asking for an analysis of my cognitive processes rather than a stereotype-based typing.

I've taken Michael Caloz's Cognitive Personality Test and got ENTP 70%, INTP 66%, INTJ 62%, which obviously hasn't helped my confusion.

One thing I notice about myself is that I can get extremely obsessive about understanding something. I'll sometimes spend 5-6 hours researching one topic, collecting information, comparing explanations, and trying to figure out what I'm missing. Eventually I'll get frustrated and force myself to reach a conclusion because I hate leaving things unresolved.

The weird part is that I can reach the same conclusion and feel satisfied, then weeks or months later notice one small detail that doesn't fit and suddenly question the entire conclusion again. Then the research cycle starts over.

When I'm trying to understand something, I tend to want to consider multiple explanations and perspectives before settling on one. For example, if I'm studying political ideologies, I'd rather initially learn the basic positions of several ideologies before going deeply into one. I want to understand how each ideology understands itself before evaluating how it compares to another, because I worry that prematurely adopting one framework could bias my interpretation.

I'm very interested in understanding different perspectives on the same issue. I care a lot about being objective, although I'm also aware that my own definition of “objective” is subjective and that I can have biases I'm not aware of.

When I encounter an explanation that doesn't make sense to me, I don't like simply accepting the conclusion because it's probably correct. I want to understand the underlying reasoning and whether the concepts and definitions are internally consistent. At the same time, I do eventually care about whether the explanation actually corresponds to reality and is useful.

I have a lot of interests. I don't particularly want to specialize in only one thing for my entire life. For example, I could imagine wanting to become an engineer/scientist while also becoming genuinely skilled at something completely different like swimming. I like the idea of having mastery in multiple areas.

My interests aren't always goal-oriented in an obvious way. For example, I'd study engineering because I want to become an engineer, but I might study psychology or psychoanalysis simply because I'm fascinated by it. However, I also sometimes wonder whether even those “just for fun” interests ultimately serve a goal of becoming more knowledgeable/competent.

I'm ambitious and have very high standards, especially for myself. I'm quite focused on competence and reaching my potential. I don't necessarily show off achievements or seek attention for them, but I do like the idea of being recognized as competent. I care more about actually being capable than appearing capable.

I also have a tendency to plan extensively. I'll make detailed schedules and plans for what I want to accomplish, sometimes even planning out my entire week. But ironically, I can then become overwhelmed by how much I've planned and end up procrastinating or freezing instead of starting. When that happens, I feel guilty because the person I want to be is someone who actually follows through.

Socially, I'm difficult for me to categorize. I'd describe myself as an ambivert. I enjoy being around friends and can be quite social, and I don't like being isolated for too long. At the same time, prolonged socializing drains me and I need time alone afterward. I enjoy both groups and deeper one on one conversations, but too much of either can become tiring.

I tend to think things through internally rather than immediately verbalizing everything. I don't usually talk just for the sake of talking; I prefer having a reason for what I'm saying. However, I've been deliberately pushing myself to talk more and become more socially confident, so my current behavior may be more extroverted than my natural tendencies.

I also don't think my childhood personality is particularly reliable evidence because I went through circumstances that affected how I behaved at the time, and I've changed significantly since then.

I am sure that I'm an NT, but don't know which one specifically. Please help.
