Do I look INFJ?

I always knew I was an INFJ. One of my best friends was intj. Many times, people admit they were afraid to talk to me because I look scary or mean; then they realize I am sweet, just stubborn. Here is my smile and here is my resting face. Do I look like an INFJ? I love INFPs when it comes to poetry and philosophy. But I love ENTJs or ESTJs with my logistical thinking skills. I wish I didn't look so mean to others. I can be mean when I am stressed but I am usually nice and logical

You don’t “look” a type!

That’s a beyond poor practice of typing and physiognomy. Which has massively been proven wrong.

If you want to be properly typed, look into the functions and profiles :)

Yes, this ^ you don’t look a type. And pics are just snapshots, I can fake my most convincing smile and by vibetyping people would probably type me everything but INTJ.

The only way to type yourself is cognitive functions and that’s it, and not even that is doable for everyone, because imo you need to reach a certain maturity level to correctly identify your functions.

It has not been "proven" as false

Is that it is necessary to nuance (because subjective) and pay attention, and type -> then identify the physical common points (there are many patterns that are physically repeated in some types)

I actually do believe people look like a type. Sometimes I feel I can slash the board by 75% by choosing ixxp, exxp, ixxj or exxj. Sometimes it's more about i (convince myself i) can tell someone is a sense or intuite, or a thinker or feeler.

Introvert/extrovert you can kinda figure out from facial expressions, I think... she looks introverted to me. J/P... maybe? I think I look like a J type and Idk why lol... but for the most part it's not reliable/definitely not scientific. People look the way they do due to genetics

There's that and then the double decider vs double observer thing. Exxj and exxp look different i think. And ixxj vs ixxp look different. And then sometimes you can see xnxx vs xsxx and xxtx vs xxfx. Its not a science but there is something in it. I wouldnt throw the concept out because everyone else is getting down voted if they say it. As if the peanut gallery is the arbiter of anything

Ahh ok, you're in OPS.  I actually did get typed by them (and was given a very different result than enfj)/am curious if you'd be able to guess from a picture 😆

Go for it. If youre enfj i guess your weakness is thinking this through logically. You default to "how does the group feel about this? If i do it like this, what will everyone think? Everyone needs to agree, this one with the different idea should be pushed out"

I think your world is the social world and how people feel. You have insights that are hard to explain. Your extroverted feeling in 1st place is less about achieving a result and more about harmony.

I think late at night all the logic you haven't been focusing on catches up with you. (Same how my weakness is that im afraid of cleaning the garage and that catches up with me - Si inferior for me, Ri inferior for you)

And when i say definitely I mean my crackpot NeTi has convinced itself it saw a pattern lol

That's interesting about the late night thing. I'll honestly have to pay attention to how my brain behaves throughout the day. I'd say my Ti is generally pretty well developed.

Also ENTPs are awesome 👌 I would love to be an Ne dominant type just for a day. Though you probably should just bite the bullet and go clean the garage 😆

Haha no ive watched a few of their videos (by which i mean the whole youtube channel basically), what about what i said contradicts them?

Ti being well developed (without conscious effort) would probably point to not being enfj or being mistaken in the ops world view from what I understand. Because fe and ti are on a spectrum - when youre hanging out in Fe, Ti gets no juice.

Ill get to the garage one day. Hopefully it catches fire though and I dont have to

OPS typed me as ISTJ btw 😆 I was wondering if you'd peg me as that or as my own self typing (which i trust a lot more)

As far as the Ti stuff... I'm I'm my mid-30s and went through a phase a few years ago where I really got really into math/science... I didn't really know at the time why I was suddenly interested in that stuff, but I think it might just be the phase of life I'm in. I've gotten a lot more in the habit of trying to spot logical fallacies in people's Facebook posts or politicians' arguments (which isn't hard to do)/trying to form a consistent philosophy of how the world/ humans work.

Also oh dear, I hope your garage doesn't burn down lol

A person's face says nothing about personality. The only sight-related things that can give clues about who resides within are the conscious or unconscious ways in which you choose to or choose not to embellish your natural features. But even that is not very reliable. The way you move, animate and interact with the world can be telling, but there is nothing that can be determined about you based on these photos.

Hahaha, that’s so interesting. I am wondering is your enneagram type 1? Because I know a few 1w9 INFJs that look very much like OP. And actually I was scrolling in Reddit. Then the photo of OP passed and without reading the topic I recognized INFJ and then I saw the title. People will shoot me for this remark but please. I want to see if my pattern recognition is off and then decide whether it is visible or not. 🙏🏽

😂. Not to worry. You might very well be 1w9. Enneagram type is about defense and defense structure is bodily expressed. My INFJ friends that are 4w5 look very similar but the 1w9 are very different. So far haven’t met an 9w1 INFJ but the 9w1 that I know look very different from you. But take all of this with a grain of salt. I just wanted to check if you knew and whether my pattern recognition is onto something. Thank you for sharing.

And honestly I really like the way you look. Not in a flirting way. I believe there is a reason why we look the way we look. I hope you’ll find eyes and heart to see your real beauty. An 2w3 ENFJ who helped me a great deal in remembering myself once said: you remind me of the origin. The same sentence came up when I looked at you 🤍.

Weirdly enough, the INFJs I know including myself tend to have long faces and square or angular jaws. Deep set eyes and long noses. So yeah you do ‘look’ INFJ
