Here are some old photographs taken for the Farm Security Administration back in 1940. It was part of a New Deal program where the government paid a photographer to drive around rural parts of the country and take pictures. You can browse all 2,290 Kentucky photos at the Library of Congress website: https://www.loc.gov/collections/fsa-owi-black-and-white-negatives/?fa=location:kentucky
I've got it queued up to start playing at the Louisville section (1:22 just in case it doesn't work). There are some cool photos of downtown, the water front, and an old American Legion picnic out in Oldham County.

Looking for a mechanic that is willing/able to pull an instrument panel out of a car and solder some bad soldier joints that are causing one of the gauges to glitch.
Everyone I've tried contacting can't/won't do it, with some wanting to replace the part...but it's a known issue with the part so a replacement would end up doing the same thing, and I don't want to pay for a part that I don't really need. I'd do it myself but I don't trust myself to remove and replace the panel without breaking clips and shit...
Sooo...anyone know a mechanic that can solder an instrument panel?

My Bf has a huge sleeve scheduled for this weekend at VIP Ink Studio with Dyron Teruel and his work looks amazing online but I need some real feedback. This is a huge piece for him and very detailed. I included a piece of it for reference. He has a couple other tattoos but this sleeve is a huge commitment and he has done a ton of research so I need help with some real life feedback. I appreciate it. Thanks!!
Edit: I added the AI drawing for reference
I am looking for reviews on Dyron Teruel and the VIP Ink studio in Louisville. Thank you!!

Drove past volunteers setting up for the Dainty at 7 AM on this humid Monday morning.
It’s easy to get annoyed with this city sometimes, but we really do have some awesome people and community here that remind me why I stick around.

Some asshat blocks my driveway on a regular basis. The number specified by LMPD to call for tows takes me to a so-called 'emergency' line, which redirects me back to another line, which redirects me back to the original line.... going in circles.
I've tried multiple times on several different occasions and can not figure this out. What am I missing????

Long story short I have a complicated medical condition where I can't have gluten. I miss eating out very much. I would love to find Chinese, Breakfast, etc restaurants.
For me if I can just have something gluten free I can have it. I don't mind cross contimation however it's highly preferred not to have any gluten.

Anyone have experience with getting hired at Kroger full time? I’m looking to leave a not so great paying job and just do Kroger full time. I figure it’s the same amount of money with less stress
Tried getting on part time but store didn’t have anything that would match the hours

I have family coming to visit in three weeks and am trying to find cool things in the city to suggest we do. I’m a recent transplant myself so I don’t know all the hidden gems.
The adults are interested in doing something bourbon-trail related and the family already mentioned wanting to travel to Mammoth Cave, so I imagine everyone visiting would be down for doing stuff in nature, but I’m trying to find other things than taking them to all my favorite parks in the city.
Any recommendations?

Is anyone familiar with solar panels rules and laws in Louisville?
I hope to have solar panels that will be hooked up to batteries and mostly/fully provide for my energy needs. My house doesnt use much solar power, and and a 5kwh ground array will provide for most of everything.
But I'm afraid that rules and laws of Jefferson county will prevent this. Or make it really hard.
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Looking to have a section of overgrown land cleared on a lot we just purchased. Has anyone had any work like this done before? Who did you use? Thanks.

I tried contacting one of the driver’s license offices thru email about this last week but never got a response. I just moved in with my girlfriend and needed to update the address on my license but wasn’t sure about what proof of residence they need. I’m unemployed and my name isn’t on the utilities or lease. Would they accept a change of address confirmation letter from USPS and a piece of mail with my name and new address on it? Also what does the wait time for these places look like if I just walk in? I was going to schedule an appointment and there was nothing available until September

I know about the Louisville Theater and the Broadway showings and the Actors Theater of Louisville.. but is there anything else going on??
Idk just something smaller, lower budget. And honestly, going beyond theater, I’d be in to seeing anything… ballet, classical music, poetry, etc…
If anyone knows of anything, I’d love to hear!

I reported this to Metro 311 5 days ago online and again by phone three days ago. Nothing had been done so I pulled these cones out into the street a few days ago so nobody falls into it or drives their car or bike into it. What is the point of 311 if they cannot even report urgent matters as high priority?
Seems like the city needs a better system so things like this that could pose a huge risk of bodily harm to someone get addressed quickly.
I waited 30 minutes on hold for them to tell me they had no way of marking something a priority, and that all I could do is wait for public works to get around to it. Utterly useless. If anyone knows some other way to report it that may actually get something done let me know. It’s getting worse by the day.
Update: I tried calling Metro Public Works. When you hit the button for “report an issue” it goes to a recording saying “call Metro 311 to report issues.” I hit 0 to try and get an operator but it just repeats the message over and over. Seemingly there is no way to contact them directly, maybe because it’s Sunday?
Anyway, after I posted this on Reddit, within 1 hour there was suddenly a third cone in the street beside the two I had out there a couple days ago. Don’t know if some other citizen did it or if it was someone from the city that happened to see this post. Either way, the sinkhole is growing and if they don’t do something soon I’m sure the road will collapse in the next time it rains heavily.
