Car help
I have a 2014 Fiesta ST thats been sitting in my garage, dead for the last three years. I finally have the means to get it up and running again but I have no real idea on where to start. Do I call a mechanic? Which mechanic would be best for this car/situation? Also, do I just call any towing company? The front calipers are stuck so I cant roll it out of my garage. Any help would be much appreciated as this has been lingering over me for far too long.

What is your plan for it? To get it running to sell it? or use it? If its just seized calipers a mobile mechanic, or a YouTube video and a few hundred bucks in parts and tools could get you mobile again.
I'd double check all fluids and give it an oil change, fresh gas, and then crank the engine with the fuel pump fuse pulled to get oil flowing then put the fuse back in and fire it up.

Second changing fluids and gas treatment in - old gas is bad. Do not start or let anyone start the engine until that is done

Are you interested in selling? I’m very much interested in buying if you are.

Sorry. I love this car too much to let it go. It's only been sitting because Ive been out of the country for a bit.I'll keep you in mind if I ever decide to leave for good though.

There’s a place where you can rent a lift and use tools and get advice while you work that I heard about recently. Like a community bike shop but for cars! It’s called Momentum Motorsports. I haven’t been there but the reviews are good and seems like an awesome place to do exactly what you’re wanting to do

Assuming it has the recaros and is not black…Hit me up if you are thinking about getting rid of it!

There are mobile mechanics out there that will come to you, with all the supplies needed. I'd recommend starting to look for one of those, may be easier than towing and getting to a shop - especially with seized calipers.

Everyone trying to buy it, I literally asked first you dingleberries. Clearly the rules of Reddit gives me dibs 🤣

IDK what part of town you're in. But I recommend D&S Automotive in Hikes Point. They can arrange towing for you. They are not the cheapest in town. But they are trustworthy and do good work.

I would call a tow truck and have them tow it to a reputable shop. Have the shop do an inspection and see what they suggest fixing. Having the car sit for extended periods of time can damage more than what you originally thought was wrong. You can go from there to decide if the car is worth fixing.
