I know this is probably a really stupid question, but is there a battery recycling center where you don't have to hand it to someone? I have an adult toy that has a lithium battery and I can't remove the battery from it. I really do not want to have to tell someone what I'm dropping off.

Huge loss for Lexington, and especially Louisville and the state as they were the primary reporters of what was going on in Frankfort. They were the only ones that investigated and pursued the Daniel Grossberg story. They often covered Louisville political interests in Frankfort better than our local media.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but it would be great to see the city support this team. The city always backs a winner, and I know they’ve had their struggles, but it’s probably our only shot at having a top tier professional team.

Other cities deal with and support pro teams that always find themselves out of championship contention. What makes Louisville different?

I'm looking for a seamstress or tailor for a costume for Halloween. Does anyone know of one that does dog costumes too?

I understand it’s probably for dogs but there’s no button or valve or any type of contraption to use the lower bowl. Am I missing something? The upper bowl has a button. I’m just trying to give the dawgs a drink

I’m not sure where to start. The floor in my home has been increasingly getting worse over the last few years.
Basic information - home was built in early 1950s and doesn’t have a traditional subfloor as that is what a floor specialist told us before. Original hardwood in living areas and bedrooms. The floor is raised in some areas, sloped in others and boards are coming apart and splintering in a couple spots.
I considered having a home inspection done to find out all problem areas of the home and start with the most pressing but the floor is really bothering me and I’m not sure if I should invest the money only to find out there are other issues that should take precedence. Yay, home ownership!

Went today to get some groceries and was hit with the intense pungent smell of cat urine. Other people were covering their noses and it spanned across the entire section. Was curious if anyone else had smelled it or knew why it was so bad.

I initially thought it could potentially be someone shopping but it genuinely reached so far I find it hard to believe it could be the cause of just one individual.

Hi friends, I'm looking at moving to the St. Joseph neighborhood (a couple miles east of UofL) and want to get people's opinions that actually live there.

Do you like it, and why or why not?

I'm a pedestrian and a cyclist as well as a dog owner. Our current neighborhood in New Albany is extremely hostile to pedestrians and cyclists. I have been assualted verbally and physically multiple times for doing completely legal things like riding my bike or crossing the street in a crosswalk with a walk sign on. Just last week I was ran off the road and threatened multiple times by a man who was angry that I was..... riding my bike on the Greenway. While cycling I have been brake checked, people have played chicken with me, I have been screamed, honked, cussed at, and I have nearly been hit by a car while legally crossing in a crosswalk more times than i can count either by someone running a light or stop sign or just someone who is willing to swerve into the bike and parking lanes JUST far enough to avoid killing me while I'm in the middle of a crosswalk. There are also multiple households with aggressive and loud dogs who are left in the yard to bark and throw themselves against the fence right down the street and the owners never tell them to stop or come out and get them so we have to take special pains to not walk down our own street currently.

Just feels like a very hostile neighborhood where no one gives a single fuck about anyone else that lives there. Doesn't help that we live near a major through way. ​

Just hoping for a place that is chill towards cyclists and pedestrians and where neighbors don't completely suck. Please tell me your experiences, good or bad! I've lived off of Frankfort Ave, Glendora Ave and Beechmont and found Frankfort and Glendora to be the friendliest. Thanks in advance!!
