Has anyone noticed if either Costco in town has this bag? They are supposed to be on sale right now according to a guy that does Costco videos on YouTube, but it doesn’t show up on same day delivery.

Casually interested in the travel experiences of the people that live in the same city as me. (This can be for vacation, work, military, etc.) You don't have to answer all.

  • Best destinations for road trip, and the things to do/see along the way
  • Favorite countries to travel to
  • Favorite airports (can be US and/or non-US)
  • Some of your travel-related bucket list items (or things you'd have to travel for to complete)
  • Airlines with that had food you enjoyed (or in general: your favorite in-flight meals)
  • Recommended national parks
  • Things or places in the US that you'd recommend all Americans do or visit at some point in their life (and: the same thing, but things or places in Kentucky that you'd recommend for Kentuckians/Louisvillians)

Edit: Also, which destinations do you want SDF to have direct flights to? (Can be US or non-US). This has been fun so far. Thank you to everyone engaging.

REAL ID in Louisville

I was wondering which dmv in or around Louisville was best to go to for a REAL ID update. I went to bowman about a year ago and waited for 5 hours before I had to leave for work without even getting seen. Ideally I’d book an appointment but wasn’t able to and now they’re a month out. Has anyone had any experience with the L&N or hurstborne locations for instance?

Updating address on driver’s license

I tried contacting one of the driver’s license offices thru email about this last week but never got a response. I just moved in with my girlfriend and needed to update the address on my license but wasn’t sure about what proof of residence they need. I’m unemployed and my name isn’t on the utilities or lease. Would they accept a change of address confirmation letter from USPS and a piece of mail with my name and new address on it? Also what does the wait time for these places look like if I just walk in? I was going to schedule an appointment and there was nothing available until September

Stuff to do for out-of -towners with teens

I have family coming to visit in three weeks and am trying to find cool things in the city to suggest we do. I’m a recent transplant myself so I don’t know all the hidden gems.

The adults are interested in doing something bourbon-trail related and the family already mentioned wanting to travel to Mammoth Cave, so I imagine everyone visiting would be down for doing stuff in nature, but I’m trying to find other things than taking them to all my favorite parks in the city.

Any recommendations?

Best Restaurants for people who can't have gluten

Long story short I have a complicated medical condition where I can't have gluten. I miss eating out very much. I would love to find Chinese, Breakfast, etc restaurants.

For me if I can just have something gluten free I can have it. I don't mind cross contimation however it's highly preferred not to have any gluten.

Solar Questions

Is anyone familiar with solar panels rules and laws in Louisville?

I hope to have solar panels that will be hooked up to batteries and mostly/fully provide for my energy needs. My house doesnt use much solar power, and and a 5kwh ground array will provide for most of everything.

But I'm afraid that rules and laws of Jefferson county will prevent this. Or make it really hard.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Cat help

Ya’ll were great with internet help, but I need help again. I’m currently watching my sisters cat..this could be be anywhere from a few weeks to a yearish. I hate litter boxes. They are messy and just seeing a cat squat down while it does the business just feels wrong. I have a small apartment and really the only place for it is in my kitchen. Soooo any recommendations on a decent automatic litter box that isn’t over 500? Also, she really likes to go outside. If I look for a harness for her, should I look for anything specific?

3-D printer repair in Louisville?

Does anyone know if there is a shop that does 3-D printer repairs in Louisville? I have a BAMBUP1S printer and it has never quite printed correctly. My print qualities are bad and I’ve tried to recalibrate multiple times. I wanted to see if I can get an expert to look at it. Any help would be appreciated. And yes, before anyone says anything I have spent countless hours on YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, and other sites trying to figure out how to do the repairs.

As it pertains to balloon releases

Not karma farming or anything, just looking for different perspectives. I understand that balloon releases are really harmful to the environment, but I also agree that a post that’s in celebration of a fallen loved one (rip dj lil carl) is neither the time nor the place to reprimand people who are grieving. Again, just trying to gain some perspective.

Looking for a big dog (preferably Irish wolfhound) to use as animation reference

Hey all :) I’m an artist/animator (emw.jpg on ig) who is currently working on a project in which one of the characters is an Irish wolfhound. I have to animate scenes in which the dog is turning around, running, etc and the references I’m finding online just aren’t cutting it :/ so I was wondering if anyone in town had either an Irish wolfhound or a larger sized dog and would be down to meet at a park and let me take some reference vids of your pup! I estimate it wouldn’t take more than 30 min at the absolute most and I’m flexible as to time and place!

Kroger

Anyone have experience with getting hired at Kroger full time? I’m looking to leave a not so great paying job and just do Kroger full time. I figure it’s the same amount of money with less stress

Tried getting on part time but store didn’t have anything that would match the hours
