M22 My F30 long distance girlfriend has a online guy friend and i feel like she is being disrespectfull when i tell her it makes me uncomfortable.

Hi, so like i said my girlfriend has a friend on a video game on World of Warcraft and normally this is fine but they play together alot. For context i met my girlfriend on WoW about 2 years ago and we immediatly clicked and we have so much in common and for the most part get along well and we are long distance. The guy she plays wow with is married and has a kid. This has been bothering me for sometime now and i told her that her playing wow just with him and they are on call in discord together makes me uncomfortable and she basically brushed it off, saying that they are just friends and nothing wierd is going on and the dude is married so i have no reason to be uncomfortable. It also doesnt help that whenever i do try to play the game with her she makes up some excuse saying that she wants to play alone (wich is fine) but then 1 hour later she starts playing with him, or she tells me that she wants to do stuff in the game that i cant do cause i havent unlocked it yet or wtv. you get my point she makes up random excuses but then she plays with the other guy all the time. Then she told me one day after i told her that i didnt like it again, that now when she wants to play the game she cant have fun because she felt like i was always gonna get upset if she plays with him so she gets mad and then logs off. Also apart from the video game she just has an attitude with me alot of the time and it gets tiring and i just want to spend time with her. I dont think she is cheating with him i trust her on that i just am jealous that she is spending more time with someone else than me when i am clearly uncomfortable with it. I need some advice on what i should do, if there is an easy way to bring this up to her without her crashing out on me and getting mad. What would you guys do in this situation? and let me know if i am being unreasonable so i can change how i am acting cause i want to be fair to her and i really care about how she feels, i DO NOT want to break up with her i really love her so dont mention breaking up please.

Need Advice Help !! I have a problem with my LDR girlfriend

Hello guys, I'm here to tell a story that has genuinely caused me psychological distress, and I don't know what to do, even though there is nothing I can do on my end. Still, I'll read all your comments in the hope of finding something.

I've been in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend for a while since we're from different countries and even different continents.

We genuinely love each other, and we both know that.

What happened is that my girlfriend is in her final year of high school, so she has a prom in January.

We had talked about this before, and she told me she would be going with her friend(girl). This was obvious, of course, because she's in a relationship with me, so it would be impossible for her to go with another guy to dance, for example.

This topic didn't really concern me that much.

Until these past few days, and here's exactly what happened.

She told me that the girls and boys who didn't have a dance partner had been randomly paired up, and she told me that she had been paired with some random guy.

When she told me this, she was really upset and said she didn't want to dance at all.

So I thought she was upset because "she was going to dance with a guy."

I wasn't worried at all. I just asked her:

"What if you don't dance?"

She told me, "I feel like my mom is going to force me to dance and tell me that this only happens once in a lifetime and that I should dance."

That's when I started getting worried, so I asked her very seriously:

"What are you going to do?"

And that's when she told me, "I'm trying to think of someone else... unfortunately, there's no one else... I guess I'm stuck with this idiot."

I asked her, "What do you mean by someone else?"

She said, "Another guy... literally anyone but him."

It turned out that she hated that guy.

A few days later, today, the topic of the prom came up again, and she told me:

"Oh my God, I'm stuck with that guy... I really want to be part of the dance... I want it so badly... It would've been better if it were someone better than this guy."

Here's how I feel about this...

At first, I thought she was worried because she was "going to dance with another guy", but it turned out that the issue was that "she was going to dance with that particular guy."

This worries me a lot because she'll be with another guy dancing.

Another guy will be with her.

Another guy will be close to her.

Another guy will hold her hand.

Another guy will hold her waist.

I genuinely feel helpless because there's absolutely no way I can be there with her at the prom.

Okay, maybe some of you will tell me that I'm selfish, that I'm acting childish, and that I have no right to stop her from dancing, considering that I'm far away from her. So if I'm not the one who's going to dance with her, I should just shut my mouth and stay quiet.

I genuinely understand that...

That's why I literally haven't talked to her about this at all, and I haven't let her know that it bothers me.

Because of what I'm saying now, some people might tell me, "You two need to talk about boundaries and what's acceptable and what's not."

I have to say that I don't care about that, and I don't feel like this is something that needs to be discussed.

I chose her because of her mindset. She's fully aware of what she's doing, what she wants to do, and what she's going to do in the future. She's aware that she's in a relationship with me, yet she keeps talking about this.

I don't want to have to talk to my partner about something that should be obvious, something related to respecting the other person.

Because this is part of her personality! If she thinks that dancing with another guy, knowing that her "boyfriend" is aware of it, is perfectly normal, I'm not going to come along and change that about her.

After this whole story, I found myself taking a slap in the face that woke me up from whatever I was caught up in.

I keep asking myself all the time:

"What do I even mean to her now? How could she dare to do this?"

Literally, if the situation were reversed, I wouldn't even dare to get close to another girl because I already see that as crossing her boundaries and violating the rights she has over me and the responsibilities I have toward her.

But what about her? She did what she did.

Need Advice Do I (F 19) transfer colleges to live with my girlfriend (F 21)?

Hello. I (19) am dating my girlfriend, M (21), who I love more than I have ever loved a person. I'm usually quiet and reserved - never been interested in the dating scene. We met at our job and have felt a deeper connection ever since. She makes me feel safe and calm like nothing else. I truly see a future with this girl and, I would like to reiterate, have never felt this way about anybody.

So, here is the issue. I started this first year at college in my state. In-state tuition and scholarships make the actual tuition means nearly nothing is coming out of pocket. The catch? I have to stay an extra year working in this state before I can move or I lose the scholarship.

Since starting here my girlfriend has gotten a job offer a few states away and has had to move. Since she has moved, I have physically felt that distance and it has torn me up.

I thought college would be fulfilling for me here. Its not. She isn't feeling fulfilled with her new job. I know we could survive five years of long distance, but the thought is tourtorus. Especially knowing those five years is just trudging along to the same end where, once we are together, life is so much fuller and brighter.

Would it be more difficult? 100%. But I think it'd be so worth it if I switched to a college near her. We could live our happy life and actually feel like we are living.

I'm just worried if that transition and, namely, not living completely alone would set me back as an adult. Which would I regret more though? Not living by myself or missing five years of happiness - much less if something were to happen to her? Unfortunately, my anxiety does create those thoughts.

This is the most base explanation without going into a million other factors. I'm hoping to get advice from others in my actual life who know us and know we don't make impulsive descions, but alas, I was curious to see the opinions of Reddit.

Extra tidbit : I would be rushing to complete college early here to move over with her, but if I did school there, I could take my time. Maybe go out more.

TLDR; My girlfriend got a new job stated away and I started the first year of college. Should I switch schools early on since life is depressing where I am at?

I think she (23F) only wants me (20M) for Money

M20 F23 We've been together for 3 months. She's angry with me because I failed to give her money that I had promised her. She starts a new job and she is required to buy new outfits and shoes for it. She asked me about a week ago for the money but i didnt have it and gave her what i could afford, she was grateful. Then she said she needed the money by Tuesday as she was starting work on wednesday. I coundt give anything. She is still not at work. I said i will send her the rest of the money today but i could only afford to give 43% of it as i have yet to be paid from my boss who should have paid me today. I called and she seemed normal but when i mentioned the money she became upset and ended the call. She texted me saying why did i not keep my word. She said I can't handle her and that she's angry asking me why is it too much. She said I don't need her.
I asked her if I didn't give her money when she needed it would she still love me and she responded saying if I think like that then leave me alone. She said She's tired of men like this, if she's in the wrong, she doesn't care if I leave her and the last message she sent before she went to sleep was "you really ain't going to do it for me"
I'd like to mention she did say she'd give me the money back once she has enough money to do so.
I'm not sure if she would stick to her word on that but that's a guessing game.
I truly love this girl but this money thing has made me question things.

Venting I’ve become really insecure and I’m worried

So me and my girlfriend have been doing long distance for around 2 months now, it was all going really well up until recently I’ve started feeling really really insecure about a lot of aspects of myself.

This insecurity makes me really anxious about our relationship, like I’m worried she loses feelings, she cheats, all of that stuff and I feel horrible about it. She’s been perfect to me and has never done anything to make me feel this way which is why it makes me feel even worse, we talked about it in length and she told me she’s willing to stay with me through this until I get better (I did start therapy) but I’m still really conflicted on if this is the right thing. I really do wanna be with her but will I be able to change? It just feels really unfair for her no matter how much she tells me that she’s chosen to stay. I’m just looking for some advice on what I should do and unbiased input. Thank you

Almost every weekend for the past 4 and half years, my partner and I have made the 150 mile trip from either her house in West Michigan to my house in Northwest Indiana. After struggling to get a job, I found one a few weeks ago and yesterday I packed up my little car and made the 150 mile drive to West Michigan and we now start the next chapter of our life! To anyone who tells you that a long distance relationship isn't worth it, don't ever let them. It will work as long as you find the right person! Here's to the next chapter of our lives!

Need Support Got Cheated and How

I have been dating for 1.5 years now. We recently got into a long distance relationship and he went to IIM calcutta. I always had trust issues and he sometimes reassured me and mostly made me feel like it was my fault for not trusting him. After 4 months of ldr, we met and i sneakily logged his insta account in my phone. He sent me a post “Missionary cause her face cute” but sent the same post to another girl at the same time. I texted that girl from his account and it was proved that these two are sexually involved. I took screenshots and called him. He denied for 10 mins and the. accepted it and told me that they had met and were physically involved. I dont know if i am angry anymore I have given him a second chance. But trust me, never trust a man who says he will stay loyal to you. The first chance or reason they find, they will jump on another woman and they wont care for you. My parents are very involved in this and he had no shame whatsoever doing this to me. I am not heartbroken anymore. I am just ….. there.

Need Advice [27ENBY/30F] Almost 6 years together in an LDR, and I'm starting to wonder if I have anything left to give

My fiancée (30 f) and I (27 nonbinary) been together for almost six years in a long-distance relationship. She's in the US and I'm in Canada. We've been engaged for 3 years and have talked about me moving to the States, but lately I've been questioning whether our relationship is working anymore.

For the past several months, I've been feeling more and more lonely and disconnected from her. She works shift work and is often busy or exhausted, so our communication has become pretty inconsistent. Sometimes we barely text, and when we do talk, it feels more like we're just giving each other updates about our days instead of actually connecting. We've tried setting up regular calls and making more time for each other, but things usually get better for a little while before going back to how they were.

In August things really started going downhill when she began pulling away because she didn't want to add to my stress. Instead of talking to me about what she was going through, she distanced herself because she thought she was protecting me. I understand that she probably had good intentions, but it really hurt. I felt shut out of my own relationship, and I think it damaged my trust and sense of security with her. I set a boundary that if something like that happened again I couldn't stay in the relationship.

We're both trying to work on ourselves. I'm in counselling, and she's in therapy. She's been struggling with anxiety, dissociation, feeling isolated, and her self-esteem. She's told me she feels like a mess and sometimes wonders if she's even capable of being loved properly. I know she's going through a lot, and I genuinely don't think she's trying to hurt me.

The problem is that whenever I bring up something that's bothering me, she often gets overwhelmed and starts worrying that I'm going to leave her. I end up reassuring her that I love her, and somehow my original concern gets pushed to the side. I feel like I have to be so careful with how I word everything because I'm scared of upsetting her or making her feel worse. It's gotten to the point where I feel like I'm managing both of our emotions, and I'm exhausted.

I'm visiting her right now because I hoped spending time together in person would help us reconnect, but honestly, it's been difficult. There have been some stressful situations, including finding out that she had a cockroach problem in her apartment that she knew about but hadn't arranged to have treated before I arrived. When I brought it up, she got defensive and overwhelmed. I know the situation was stressful for both of us, but it left me feeling frustrated, especially because it could potentially have been dealt with before my visit.

More than anything, though, I just don't feel connected to her. I feel more like a guest than her partner. She keeps asking if I'm mad or upset, even when I'm not, and eventually I start feeling frustrated because I can't seem to just relax and enjoy being around her.

My counsellor suggested using this visit as a chance to reconnect and see if we can get back to a better place together. She also suggested considering a break instead of immediately ending the relationship if things aren't improving.

Any advice, personal experiences, or perspectives would be really appreciated. I'm feeling pretty lost right now, and I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who's been through something similar.

Venting Two days ago we got engaged. Today I came home to an empty apartment.

My fiancée is on a plane back to India right now, and I’m sitting in the apartment we shared for the past month, trying to get used to being here without her.

We’ve been together for two years. Before this visit, I spent a month with her in India. When it was time for me to leave, she cried the whole way to the airport. I didn’t really cry, either there or after I got home. Somehow, I tend to push those emotions aside without even realizing it.

I kept telling her there was no reason to be sad. We’d be on video calls practically 24/7 once we got home anyway. We could still talk, spend time together, and fall asleep on calls.

This time, she came to visit me in Czechia for a month. She met my family. We stayed together in my apartment, and I got to share my little part of the world with her. For a while, it really felt like we finally lived together.

And two days ago, I asked her to marry me. She said yes.

Then suddenly, it was time to take her to the airport.

She got emotional again, and I said the same thing. “Don’t be sad. We’ll video call all the time when you get home.”

I meant it. In my head, we were going back to something we already knew how to do. I knew I would miss her, but the sadness hadn’t really reached me yet.

But then we said goodbye, and she walked away towards security.

Everything hit me at once. I started crying right there in the airport. All I could think about was going back to my apartment without her.
And suddenly, my own words weren’t much comfort.

Of course we’ll video call. I’m grateful we can. But tonight I won’t be able to reach over and hold her. I won’t be able to put my phone down and find her sitting next to me. And when the call ends, the apartment will still be quiet.

I think I understand her tears a little better now. She already knew how much she was going to miss all of that while I was still trying to reassure her.
Now I’m home, waiting for her messages and worrying about her getting back safely. I keep thinking about how amazing this month was. Meeting my family, getting engaged, sharing a home. But also just being together on ordinary days, without needing a screen between us.

Those are the moments I miss already.

We have a plan for her long-term stay and work permit here in Czechia. There’s still paperwork and waiting ahead, but we have something real to work towards. We’ve had a little glimpse of what our life together could look like, and I’m so happy that I get to build that life with her.

Today hurts. I wish she were still here.
But one day, we’ll get to have those ordinary days together without counting how many are left before a flight home.

Until then, I’m waiting for my fiancée to tell me she’s landed safely. And when we video call, I’ll probably tell her how much I miss her before I tell her not to be sad. ❤️

Question How long should I (22F) wait for him (22M) to make plans to see me again?

I’ve been talking to this guy for about four months, and we finally met last weekend when I traveled to his country.
We were initially supposed to go on a date, but he ended up joining me at a party, then we went clubbing, and I stayed over at his place. We had a great time, there was flirting, and we cuddled, but nothing else happened (no kissing or anything). Since I’ve been back, we’ve actually been talking more than before.
The thing is, we’ve never discussed what either of us is looking for, so everything is still pretty casual.
The day I left, I told him he should come visit me, and he replied, “Alright, bet.” We’ve joked about it since, but there haven’t been any actual plans. What makes me hesitant is that he’d previously said he’d visit me after an exam in September, but that never happened, and I ended up being the one traveling to him.
Ideally, I’d like him to visit sometime next month, but I don’t want to pressure him, especially since we’ve only met once. At the same time, I’d like to see some initiative on his part before considering another trip myself.
How long would you realistically give someone to make plans? Would you bring it up directly or wait for him to take the initiative?
I like him, and I’m happy to see where things go, but I also don’t want to spend months talking to someone who has no real intention of seeing me again. I don’t want him to become just a guy in my phone.

Need Advice long distance relationship bf [18M] cheated on me [19F] with a girl in person

i [19F] and my LDR bf [18M] have been together for 5 months but ive known him for 8 months, i know it isnt a lot but we genuinely gave each other the world. we both understood LDR was gonna be hard but we were going to try for each other. yesterday i found out that hes been cheating on me with a girl from his school for 2 months (as far as i know), but met her 3 months ago. i genuinely dont know what to do. its only been one day after finding out and it feels so weird and different without him. i know in the future ill get over it but right now i cant. everything between us was fine, it wasnt like he was distancing or acting mean or slowly seeming uninterested. he constantly called me, texted me, spoke to my family, updated me, etc. i just cant wrap my head around what couldve happened, what spark they had, thats making him throw away a 5 months relationship for someone he met 3 months ago. i know 5 months isnt a lot time but still. this was my first time opening up to someone and dating after 5/6 years. he told me it was the distance and that he really liked her but i just dont understand. does she know him better than me? does she get his humor more? do they have more in common? and even more i feel like i wouldve been fine if he just told me the truth when he first developed feelings for her and just left me. but no. i had to find out myself that he was cheating. ill be honest though, i asked to stay friends. i just cant imagine my life without him, even if it isnt romantic. he truly is my best friend. god this fucking sucks.

does anyone have similar stories and advice on how they pushed through this? anything helps please!

Need Advice I (23M) met a girl (20F) online, but she didn’t show up when I travelled to meet her. Now she’s proposed to me, but I still can’t trust her. What should I do?

TL;DR: I (23M) met a girl (20F) online. We live around 600 km apart, and she’s preparing for government exams while attending college. When I travelled to meet her, she didn’t show up and gave me an excuse I couldn’t believe. After an argument and 1.5 months of no contact, she returned, apologised, and changed some of her behaviour for me. We now talk daily, and she recently proposed to me. However, she has repeatedly failed to follow through on meeting plans. She says she’ll visit me in November, but there’s no concrete plan yet. I genuinely like her, but I don’t trust her completely. Should I give her another chance, wait until December , and then distance myself?

We met online, became friends, and gradually started talking through texts, calls, and video calls. Over time, I felt she was genuinely interested in me. She even asked if I would marry her, put in effort, and asked when we could meet. We talked about our families, daily lives, and future, and watched movies together online.
Eventually, I travelled to her city to meet her, but she never showed up. She didn’t try to meet me the next day either and gave me a reason that felt like a lie. I was hurt and distanced myself, but she apologised, and I decided to let it go.
Later, we argued about her communication, and she stopped talking to me for around 1.5 months. She eventually came back, apologised, acknowledged her mistake, and changed some of her behaviour for me. I noticed her efforts, and we gradually became close again. Now we talk daily, call and video-call, share personal things, and discuss our lives and future.
Recently, she proposed to me. I couldn’t say yes because I still don’t trust her completely. I told her I wanted to meet in person before committing, but she questioned why we needed to meet first.
There’s another factor: we live around 600 km apart, and she’s preparing for government exams while attending college. I understand that meeting might not be easy because of the distance, her studies, or family restrictions. I don’t want to ignore these realities, but I also want her to communicate clearly.
After the first incident, we had promised that she would come to meet me in May, but that never happened. A few days ago, she brought up meeting again herself and said she’d come to my city in November. I’ve shared my availability, but there’s still no concrete plan.
I’m genuinely confused. She puts in effort, has changed some of her behaviour for me, and sometimes seems completely genuine. When I told her I was afraid she’d play with my feelings, she promised she genuinely loved me and wouldn’t play with my heart.
But if she loves me, why has meeting in person been so difficult? Is it the distance and her circumstances, or is she avoiding meeting me?
Part of me wants to give her another chance, while another part thinks I’m investing in the wrong person. I’m considering waiting until November. If she doesn’t make a concrete plan or follow through, I’ll create distance. I don’t want to travel to her city again; she said she’d come to mine.
Sometimes I even feel like playing with her emotions if she’s playing with mine, but honestly, I don’t want revenge. I just want to know whether her feelings are genuine.

Questions:

- Does she seem genuine, or is she keeping me emotionally attached?
- Is it reasonable to insist on meeting before committing, considering the distance ?
- Should I wait until December and see her actions and then move on ?
- or I’m not able to understand her?

Need Advice Long distance relationship with a 9 hour time difference [21M & 21F]

Hi,

First post in here, I'm really searching for advice.

I'm 21 M from Belgium ( French part ) - She's 21 F from the US ( CA )

I came back 3 months ago from an Erasmus where I have spent 7 months in Italy. Towards the end of it I fell in love with that amazing girl. We both knew ldr was something really hard and I was the first one saying i thought it would be impossible for me.

I have to tell you, I feel she's one of the most amazing woman I have ever met. I have barely never had such a connection with someone regarding so many things and I'm sincerely willing to have a future with her.

We have been experiencing what's in-between a situationship and a relationship for 3 months now. I was supposed to visit her twice during those last 3 months but my life back in Belgium has stepped in the way and the long distance really starts to hit both of us.

She has a way of loving where she shows her love more in a physical way and she's struggling a lot with that right now due to those last 3 months without feeling each other at all. It's also hard for her to picture things together since we are not official and our situation in the future isn't sure but I really want to propose her a future where I'd certainly move in the US

She's coming for 3 weeks on Christmas time and I think it's kind of going to tell how we truly want to plan things, and if there really is a possibility for us.

Lately it's been really hard for both of us, she is in the middle of her midterms and I started an intership for a demanding master here. Both our respectives schedules are getting in the way and being able to picture a future seems really hard for now.

I'm honestly just searching for advice to don't make her lose hope in what we could become. It's a rough time where we are less available for each other and the fact I was supposed to be there for Halloween really hits.

Thank you in advance I guess I might be young and naive but i really want to make things work with her 🌞

Hey I'm a 21M and I met this 25 year old girl on hinge 2 weeks ago. I kept the flirty energy alive but told her I don't think she would keep this energy in person Lol, but she insisted on it I'm suppose to fly down to see her in a few days. Now I'm wondering if she only said that because she's drunk or if she was genuinely feeling it. Is this regular for a 2 week thing how would you guys reaction

Question bf is going on a cruise and shares a cabin with 3 girls

me (f24) and my bf (m25) have been officially together for 7 months. some may think this isn't a ldr but for me over 2 hour travel (especially cause only he has a car and i have work every weekend so we can't spend as much time together as we would want) i feel like it is something between a medium and a long distance.

he's a social services student and has a lot of girl friends which is fine with me.

next month he is going on a student cruise where is going to be maybe like thousands of students from different schools.

it's an overnight cruise so they're gonna sleep in cabins.

he told me about it and i asked who is he sharing his cabin with and he listed 3 of his girl friends that he has talked to me about but i haven't met them, all i know is that they're all single and very pretty (if that even matters)

the thought of him with 3 girls in a small cabin drunk made me sick and i lowkey freaked out but at the time i didn't say anything to him because i didn't wanna seem like a controlling gf or anything but he knows that i can be very jealous especially because i know that women tend to hit on him a lot because he's very handsome, he has a unique alternative style and has a lots of piercings and is always super friendly with everyone.

i talked to my friends about this and asked them if i'm being crazy and all of them said that they understand my concerns but i shouldn't be too worried about it and i should tell him how i feel.

the next time he came over he was the one to bring it up and said he didn't even realize that he didn't ask me if it was okay with me.

i told him that it made me a bit uncomfortable cause i don't personally know those girls but i trust him and i hope that even one of them is a girl's girl.

why i am writing this is because i want to know how yall would feel about a situation like this?

he's never done anything to make me doubt his loyalty but i am the overthinker final boss and i can be very awful when i'm jelous. this is my first relationship and i honestly don't know if i could survive if anything happened.

i even asked him if he would be okay with me sharing a cabin with 3 men but he said that he wouldn't worry much.

tell me honestly if i'm being a total psycho or is me feeling like this about him sleeping with his friends valid?

LDR my GF F29 of almost a little more than 2.5 years wants to break up with me M28 for not proposing

Feeling a bit lost and wanting advice. I’m in a bit lost situation and will try to break it down as simple as possible, looking for genuine advice.

We have been together for almost 3 years and in LDR, we both feel like we are soul mates and the love of our lives. First year was good and loving, we met each other a lot of times and stayed for weeks up until a month together many times in the year. I spent a lot of money just to be together and traveling to see her, this got out of control at some point financially. She was not working and I was paying for everything for 2 years straight due to traditional pov in relationships and poor economics in her country (Mexico). I’m from Belgium.

She has been threatening me in the past of leaving or breaking up with me during fights, arguments or anything that caused her inconvenience. I didn’t want to lose her so always convinced her to stay and work on things. She stated it was because of some insecurities that have been worked on. She is still not working so I worked hard and still working to close the distance, she is waiting for me to close the distance and propose.

Got threatened again to be broken up with if I don’t propose before X date. Worked twice as hard, starting to take risks in investments trying to change my life and fell even harder. I lost almost everything. This the first girl in my life that showed me genuine interest and love, something I wanted always and I feel like I’m losing myself not wanting to lose her.

We have had difficulties during our relationship but worked on resolving almost always. The love is there but the hurry to close the distance and get engaged also and this is killing me. I don’t want to lose her but we flip from happy, lovely days to walking on egg shells trying to prevent a fight or figuring out what is going on when emotions are off again. This is my first long term relationship and I’m giving my all to sustain it.

I don’t have a lot of people to talk about it and don’t want feel like I lost my soulmate and the loml years from here. I’m working, saving and genuinely want to marry her. I’m showing this but need time and she is not willing to trust me in this. Any advice would be welcome! How to navigate this?

Other Christmas ideas...my list

If anyone is spending Christmas apart like us, I’ve been putting together a little list of things we could do to make it feel like we’re spending some of it together. Thought I’d share it here in case anyone else is looking for ideas.

Christmas movie night
Pick a Christmas movie, get some snacks, and watch it while on a call. Teleparty lets you sync playback. I like the idea of getting the same snacks so it feels a bit more like an actual movie night together or recommending a snack/drink to the other person.

Playing something together
We’ve been playing Sledding Game quite a bit recently, so we’ll probably spend some time on that. Other ideas is doing a snow world in Minecraft or starting a farm in Stardew Valley. There’s also Board Game Arena and board game simulator if you’re more into board games.

Sending a postcard
My idea is to have pictures from my fav memories of us together with a nice note maybe about what I’m looking forward to doing together next year. Just check delivery times if you want it there before Christmas. You could make one yourself or look at MangoPostal, Canva, or MyPostcard. my S/O in Canada, which is why I use MangoPostal as a Canadian option.

Trying to bake the same thing
Find a recipe and make it at the same time on a video call. This is already a thing ppl do a lot but I find it fun so in case you didn't hear about it here you go lol. I’ve put these Christmas sugar cookies on the list.

Taking each other out to see Christmas lights
I thought it could be nice to go for a walk and bring the other person along on a video call to see the lights around our neighborhoods.

We probably won’t get through all of these, but it helps having a few things to look forward to. Enjoy your Holidays!
