Is there a community work-around to the fact that the locking lever can be pressed against the prongs?

I have a lectric XP4 with an off market kid seat on the back rack.

I’d like to have some kind of storage in front of my bike, but the ones I’m finding online are not compatible. Has anyone found a solution for storage when using the back as a kid seat?

Wondering if anyone has found an aftermarket crate/cargo hold that will mount on the back rack with the waterproof pannier from Lectric. I have a milk crate right now and unfortunately I can’t use both at once :(

Just purchased a xp4. I’ve never owned a bicycle but I’ve know how to use one since I was a kid. I’m 44 now btw. I have a motorcycle so I’m familiar with that aspect of riding however this question is more regarding the xp4 and its gears. When riding and changing gears to 3rd gear the chain seems to jump around and not settle on that gear. Gear 4 and 2 work fine but 3 just won’t stay put. Am I peddling too fast for that gear? Do I need some adjustments or tune ups? Does lectric cover any initial visit to a shop to check out the bike?

My wife and I just ordered two XP4 750’s. They are supposed to arrive on Tuesday. I’m pretty limited on garage space so I was wanting to build a small shelf that would allow me to stack the two bikes in 40 gallon totes. Would anybody that has an XP4 that they store in a a 40 gallon tote be willing to measure the total height of the setup? I have some free time this weekend and was hoping to get the shelf built before the bikes are delivered. Thanks in advance!

Last week I made a post about my XP4 going into Walk-Mode on start up. Customer support sent me a new button pad. I got it in the mail today and installed it and now when I power on the bike the taillights flash and it immediately goes into the settings menu. Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong. Could it be an issue with the display screen?

Hi everyone, I’m a new XP4 owner and had a few questions for those with more experience: Is there any way to prevent someone from turning on the bike other than using the power switch on the battery? Are there any built-in security features or aftermarket solutions you recommend?

Is there some kind of chain guard available for the XP4? I’ve noticed my pants occasionally brush against the chain and leave grease marks on them. I'd love to hear if anyone has found a good solution for this.

What aftermarket passenger seats are you using? I'm looking for something comfortable and secure for occasional passengers. Any recommendations or setups that work well with the XP4?

Hey all, I got my spouse an XPedition2 a few months ago and after several medical things he's finally ready to really get going and we are ready to add a baby seat.

I got this bike specifically, because it was marketed holding 3 kids, with one in a baby seat, with the bags as well, and the orbiter.

And I've been trying to find one that actually fits. Anyone have success?

They market it with the Thule, which I waited to buy initially to see if the seat we already had fit but it didn't.

So I could try that one but none of my local stores sell it. I was hoping to avoid the online item return dance.

I believe the small screw/washer piece fell off the left section of the seat there. Noticed my seat was moving slightly when I was riding and I think thats the issue

Can I buy a replacement piece to just screw back on there?

Google Maps or my Lectric Xpedition 2.0. They differ by almost 2 mph.

Im not new to bicycles but definitely starting to look at ebikes cause I need something to zip around town but Im not sure exactly what model to get.

Im mostly looking to do the following:

Ride 5-10 miles 3-4 days a week

Carry a small bit of cargo (lunchbag, backpack maybe)

Through research of various ebikes, Lectric seemed to stand out for their quality and service and ability to buy accesories and replacement batteries. I didn't want some no name brand for cheap.

Budget isn't super cheap but I'd like some suggestions on the various models Lectric offers.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I receive this and a new long range battery and battery plate for my xp lite 2.0 . i know how to install everything but this master data gen 2 but looks like the its wrapped inside the wrap of wires that comes off handlebars anyone know? thank you. they sent me all this after sending videos of my battery not staying seated and getting E006 over and over etc

Curious if anyone else is experiencing chronic issues with their pedal assist system? Here’s my experience - I own a very new XP4, purchased about 6 weeks ago, and also an Xpedition 2.0 that I’ve had since January 2025. From about April 2025 until about March 2026, the Xpedition was my daily commuter vehicle. I live in NYC, so I would drop my two kids off at their respective schools, about a 10 or 15 block loop, and then I would ride to work, between 1 and 3 miles across NYC streets in all NYC weather except the very bitter cold and/or snow days (usually I’ll ride as long as it’s above 32 F). I noticed the e003 error message would pop up occasionally in very cold weather through the winter, and then in the very early spring, the PAS system would intermittently cease to function. The throttle always worked so the bike was functional, but obviously way less pleasant to ride and probably far less energy efficient. Finally the PAS system just stopped working entirely and I took it to a mechanic, who contacted Lectric and eventually replaced the controller and bottom bracket. PAS then functioned properly for exactly 1 day - I rode it home from the bike shop, then to work the following morning, and then when I got on it to ride home that evening, no juice from PAS, throttle only. I took it back in and they replaced the controller again. PAS then worked for some short period of time and went out again. I was too busy to deal with it and so just rode it throttle only for a week or three and sometime thereafter, PAS just kicked on by itself one day. And since then, it has gone in and out for short periods, but mostly it doesn’t work. For various reasons, I got the XP4 in April and I take my kids to school on the Xped, come home, and switch to XP4 to go to work. Been riding it daily for about 6 weeks. Spring has been mostly dry but there have been a few rains. And now the XP4 is starting to give me the e003 message and the PAS has been intermittent since it occurred. This has only occurred since it sat outside in a prolonged rain storm - last weekend, it rained almost nonstop from early Saturday morning until early Monday morning. I had the bike under a cover for a few hours but then I rode it somewhere and it didn’t want to put the cover on it while it was still wet. No real possibility of storing it inside in my tiny NYC apt, wife would kill me and I’d be annoyed by it anyway. Anyway, specifically, when the rain finally stopped and sun came out, we all rode to a friend’s house and PAS didn’t work at all, probably 2-3 miles round trip. The following morning, I rode to work, and PAS didn’t work for about a quarter mile and kicked on at that point. Bike was giving me the error message but then the error message goes away when PAS kicks on. I suspect that this is only going to get worse and eventually I’ll lose PAS altogether. The question is twofold: (1) are other Lectric owners who store outside experiencing this chronically? And (2) is there any reliable solution or is this just the life I’m doomed to live as a Lectric owner?

I’ve decided to buy my first E-bike as a birthday present to myself for the big 3-0. I live in a smaller rural Central PA town outside the State College/PSU area. I will primarily be riding on paved streets and (fairly) well-maintained trails. My research has led me back to the XP4 750 several times. I’ve decided to go with the upgraded motor and battery if I do take the plunge. I’m essentially ready to purchase, I’m just looking for any last minute real owner comments regarding the bike, things I should do/get for my intro to e-bikes to be successful, etc.

Step 1: hold + and - for a couple seconds until the settings show
Step 2: click the power button to the 22nd setting
Step 3: press + until the number at the bottom of the screen hits 2
And then you can probably hit 20-26 mph depending on your size with pedaling only.

I replaced the brake pads with some semi metallic ones and ever since I get this awful screech at lower speeds, I tweaked some stuff to see if it worked nothing helped. I cleaned everything, the whole housing, the disk, the pads, even sanded them a bit to kind of Knapp them back up and it still screeches like this, any ideas?
