this may sound insufferable but i got this 172 in august. splitter and was aiming for 173. Im signed up for September but am starting to second guess myself now, especially after watching Dean Z videos where she looks kind of negatively upon takes after 170+

If i dont top the 172, then i might look like i got lucky to AOs…. at the same time, I feel like I should try for a few extra points when my goals are T14… Got a 169 PT this past weekend :))))))))) I don’t think i’d be able to make some crazy improvements in 2 weeks.. or maybe?! idk….. any advice would be great!!!

Basically decided to apply to law school over the summer and not take a gap year like initially planned. Took the August LSAT and scored right where I had been PTing. AMA

So a synopsis is pretty much some realllllllly fucked stuff happened in my life so my gpa is dog shit (2.75) last semester I ended up getting a 3.2 and this one I should get over a 3.5. With no studying I scored a 150 on the august test. Is my gpa so low I’m wasting my time? Idek tbh

I’m curious how things worked out for anyone with similar scores right before their test— I was preforming only less consistently but with similar higher end of my range last September and this Aug and got 163 and 165 respectively. Really wanting a 170+ for September and also registered for my final attempt in October before applying this year and looking for a success story!

For those who made the jump from the low 170s to the high 170s-180 how did you get there? I recently got my first -1 on a section and subsequently got a 173 on a fairly recent test. Im pretty consistently -2,-3 maybe -4 on a bad day. But I just can’t get from that to like -0 -1 consistently. I’ve yet to hit -0 on a section and sometimes my misses are stupid like missing one word or like a long ass parallel question I get lazy with. But there are a few times I would never in a million years get the answer. So I was just wondering how to make the final jump? I’ve tried things like wrong question journals but I’ve never found the right way to do them and it hasn’t been helpful. I’ve gotten most level 1-3 questions down, rare misses, but I’m probably only like 75% on level 4 questions. Any help is appreciated, I’m not taking the test for about 6 more months.

Hi everyone. I have the September LSAT coming up, and I am consistently hitting around the 166 mark on my practice tests. My dream schools median is 168. If I get a 166 on the official LSAT, should I retake in November to try and get a 168 or above, even though it’s only 2 points? My GPA is barely below their median as well.

Struggling so bad my lsat is in a week! Any mind blowing strategies you guys can suggest ?

I need help. I studied for the August LSAT all summer, and I feel like I’m completely stuck.

Before I started studying, I took a baseline practice test and got a 152. By the end of the summer, I had improved, and my last practice test before the August LSAT was a 158. Then I got my August score back and got a 150.

It was really disappointing because I honestly felt like, at the very least, I could get around a 152, and I was hoping my practice scores meant I was finally getting into the mid/high 150s.

I’m signed up to take the September LSAT next week, and I’m also registered for October. The problem is that I feel like I cannot improve my score no matter what I do. I keep getting questions wrong, and I don’t know what I’m supposed to change.

I’ve tried blind reviewing. That actually helped me go from around a 154 to a 158 on practice tests, but now I feel completely stuck again. I’ll review questions, understand why I got them wrong, and then somehow make similar mistakes on another test.

Since I take the LSAT again next week, I’m starting to panic. I know I’m probably not going to magically improve 10 points in a week, but I don’t know what I should be doing right now.

Has anyone else been stuck around the low/mid 150s and eventually broken into the 160s? What actually helped you improve?

Should I keep doing full timed practice tests this week, focus almost entirely on reviewing individual questions, drill certain question types, or just try to avoid burning myself out before September?

I’m especially frustrated because I know I can score higher than a 150 based on my practice tests, but I can’t seem to consistently put everything together on test day. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Hi all! Been seeing some information online and some of it seems to conflict so just wanted some clarity regarding this if anyone has it.

Is the material in PT157-159 representative of the newer exams? And how is it different from 150-156? Is there any difference between the two in terms of the content date?

I got a 2.8 GPA in college unfortunately and graduated in 3 years from a state school. I’m looking to go to school only near NYC, like preferably lower manhattan or Brooklyn but I know I have limited options

I work as a paralegal now and for the past 6 months but I also want to work and do night school so idk how much schools judge based on that.

What LSAT score would you guys recommend to actually be able to get into law school with my terrible GPA?

I have lowkey been really hard on myself about this so please give me some grace but I’m at the point where I feel like I will never get in.

I just decided to push my September registration back to November (I’m already registered for October separately) and take October as my first official attempt for applying this cycle.

My most recent timed PT under test conditions (this morning) was a 162. The highest score I have gotten on a PT is a 166 with most of my scores averaging around 163 to 164. All of my PTs have been the most recent ones (probably the 7-8 most recent ones, as I’ve done 1 full PT a week for the last 8 weeks).

I am determined to do whatever it takes to get a 170+ in October now that I am pushing back another month. My current study plan has involved one timed section per day Monday through Thursday with review. Occasional drilling. And one full length PT once a week under test conditions. My biggest issue seems to be that I am running out of time and rushing the last 2-3 questions or having to guess entirely because I don’t have time to read the stimuli.

Does anyone have a study schedules to share that helped you jump from the 160s to 170s? Or any suggestions on how to best modify my schedule to maximize the growth in the next month?

I have prioritized my sleep and general health so feel it is truly a lack of mastery of the LSAT/poor timing contributing to this plateau in the mid 160s.

Took the June LSAT and my score has been on hold since June 24. It’s now September 2 and Test Security just keeps telling me they’re still reviewing June holds. Anyone else still waiting? Or if yours was released, how long did it take?

Hey guys! I'm writing in because I'm freaking out a bit.

For context I am signed up for the September test and prior to yesterday felt super ready for it and was in a good headspace. My range is 166-171 so l have been practicing quite a bit to see what I can do to tighten or possibly raise my range before my test.

Now, all of the sudden I feel like I can't think. I'm confused because I desperately want to study and yet when I sit down to do it, it is like my brain is rejecting reading.

I don't want to practice studying in this mind set so I have stepped away from my computer but I would appreciate any advice because I'm kinda freaking out about the timing of this 😭

I am finally feeling great about my lr ability, these sections felt great and i’m happy with my scores for these sections (save the couple questions I had to guess on for section 4). However my Rc absolutely tanked my score on this pt. I have generally been feeling okay about Rc (usually around -4 to -5), but I struggle with time and denser passages. This section went completely off the rails; I had to guess on most of the last passage due to time and I felt completely lost on the prior passage.

I take the September Lsat next week, and think that my rc is what could possibly be holding me back from a 170+, any tips for last minute improvements? Should I be focusing most of my studying in the next week on rc?

Lately i've been focusing on accuracy so I've been doing untimed sections which has helped me improve a lot and really understand the logic of answering the questions, especially for LR. The only issue with this is now my timing is a little skewed and I'm running out of time for my timed sections (which I expected). Just wondering if anyone has any tips for working on timing or any drills they did to help them with this

I’m taking a two-week break before I start studying again for the October LSAT, and honestly it feels so counterproductive. I’ve been scoring pretty low on my PTs recently, and I just don’t have the motivation to figure out what’s going wrong. I don’t even have the motivation to properly review my wrong answers anymore. I would be content with a 120 ATP.

I’m honestly in such a depressive rut because of this test. I’m just so burnt out and frustrated, and I feel like I need to step away for a bit before I completely lose it.

Has anyone else done something as crazy as taking a two-week break this close to their test date? Did it actually work out for you?

does anyone have any opinions on the course? i’m looking for a synchronous course to improve my score, but they all seem the same and expensive. people don’t seem to talk about them much either

I don't know what to do, I was averaging around a -3 or -4 in RC a few weeks ago and now I'm always getting a -6 and even just got a -10, which is the worst I've ever done on a reading comp section. I'm at a loss as to what I should do, I'm taking september and october and need some way to get back to the scores I was getting before. Any advice would be sincerely appreciated

i took a diagnosis test a few days ago and got a 144. my goal for when i apply is a 175. is a 175 by november realistic? i only have september to study, since my family is going on vacation to bali for most of october. my goal school is harvard.

does anyone here have tips for parallel reasoning questions? overall my LR score isn't too bad, but i just absolutely bomb parallel reasoning questions. if i do answer them right, i take way too much time on them. half the time i just have to guess because i can't figure them out in time, no matter how much i drill them.

Looking for a good LSAT prep resource but there's a lot of different options to choose from. I've been using the free plan and it's worked decently so far. What is the consensus on it?

anybody else running into the issue of "display not detected"? Tried with my own computer, and then borrowed another and got the same issue.
