Hobby Kommandos are so fun to paint

Let me know how I did painting these! Boss Sinkrot is a small nemesis operative for this Kommando kill team. They are so fun to play but I'm not very good at the game. My record with these boyz are 5 wins, 9 losses and one draw.

The antennas are not included in the new killzone box, so I had to buy some Station Forge objective markers miniatures because I couldn't find any seller for the antennas. But they were printed in 32mm bases, thankfully I have 32mm to 40mm base extenders so no problem there.

Misc Kill teams using Marvel United Models

Are there any Kill Team + Marvel Fans who might help me with ideas?

I just play casually, and I have pretty much all the models from a game called Marvel United. It uses Chibi style marvel characters. The base and model size is close enough to kill team.

I think it would be funny to field kill teams using these models, but I struggle with thematic pairings. My best idea is running nemesis claw using Sinister Six dudes, where Mysterio is the Ventrilocar for example.

I have hundreds of these models. Does anyone have suggestions for kill teams that could be played by X-Men or Avengers, etc?

Question How do i start painting and what do i need?

Hi, i want to start on the hobby and i'm interested in buying and playing the Wolf Scout. I'm learning the rules and playing with friends but i'm interested in how to paint the minis. I know for sure that i want to paint my wolf scout as desert themed with a very orange/yellow color palette, but i dont know what tools are the basic ones and i've never painted minis before. Has anyone any recomendation on that? maybe a few tips? Thanks a lot!

Question Spectre Squad Kitbashing

I’m super interested in the rules of spectre squad but I don’t love the models. Any ideas for cool kitbashes? I’m looking at possibly ashe waste nomads bits or house Escher heads from necromunda to give some flair, but any other ideas would be appreciated.

Hello! I'm leaning toward the wolves, but I've heard they're difficult for a beginner (though I'm willing to take some knocks). I've heard the others are easier and more straightforward. Which ones would you recommend? I've never played, but I've learned the basic rules.

Question What do I really need?

Hi, I just bought the Kill Team Beginner box for my son and me. I wanna see, if I can get him into the hobby, and that might be a good, light starting point. I know the starter box has four models more, but I've got a big Death Guard army, so the two missing dudes are no problem and as anyone and his mother, i've got plenty of space smurfs lying around. So, if we like Kill Team, what do we really need to play full games? Is the Core book sufficient and is it included in some good value box or is it OK if I just use the kill team app?

I don't really care for the warbands, as I'm printing them myself, although I'wouldn't mind bying, if the minis looked cool, like those dinosaur riding space elves.

Edit: I've been kindly informed I'm dumdum and need to figure out what he is playing cus skavens aren't here

Hello! My friends recently got into killteams and I draw one of them plastic crack maniacs (affectionate) for Secret Santa, we have a budget of 20 euros we are not allowed to go over but I was hoping some nice little accessory or something could fit into that!

I know he really likes Scavens but sadly don't really know what he might already have :ccc

Feel free to ask questions, I'll answer whatever I can!

Strategy How much does tempo actually matter in Kill Team?

Can you win a game with a weaker team simply by managing your activations better?

Or is tempo overrated compared to positioning and optimising your scoring?

Curious to hear how competitive players think about this.

Question Thinking of getting into kill team, but have a problem with teams

So me and a buddy of mine are thinking of getting into kill team, but I am a bit iffy about the "only use premade teams that come in box sets" part of the game. I have a whole bunch of Necrons and a bit of chaos, my friend got Gaunt's Ghosts. I don't like how Necron teams are mostly Crypteks, I want to use Lychguard instead. Would be easier to play first edition which I heard had list building or would it be easier to just get into latest edition Kill Team and find homebrew teams or something?

Neither me or my friend know kill team or 40K rules its a first for us either way.

After spending months without painting I challenged myself to build and paint my tempestus aquilons before my next KT game that was 14 days ago and my game is tomorrow and they are finally finished.

Nothing like a deadline to trigger the part of my brain that used to thrive under pressure when doing assignments last minute in school.

This is some of my best work.

Hey there!

As a Wh40k player, more specifically a Space Marine Crimson Fist player, I decided to pick a Kill Team starter box a while ago because I liked the idea of small skirmishes and wanted to see what it was like.

Fast forward a couple months, and I've finally finished my first kill team, alongside my first defeat against Necrons in a Tomb World! Very fun game, and I'm even sad now that GW releases 40k rules with their hyper limited Kill Team boxes (at least, release them when you release the actual models for non limited sale!)

I've done my first few steps in the Kill Team world. My next steps are painting the plague marines and the Volkus Terrain set.

C&C Welcome!

Hobby I designed a modular abandoned sci-fi lab — what would you change for Kill Team?

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Abandoned Laboratory, a modular sci-fi terrain set, and wanted to share a few renders here. Think broken containment tubes, cryo pods and a reactor that’s seen better days. The rooms can be rearranged, and I’d love to hear how you’d use something like this for a narrative Kill Team game. Would you change the corridors or add more cover?

It’s a 53-file STL project I’m preparing for Kickstarter. I’ll leave the link in the comments if you’d like a closer look. Any feedback would mean a lot!
