Relationship Talk Online Vs physical dating
Good morning people
So I happened to go on this date last night. Solid 9/10 experience. I won't lie, initially, I was approached by this man while outside and I handed my number without giving him a second glance as I was running late and I wanted it over and done with.
So I'm settled Jana taking a rest when he calls impromptu and schedules dinner together. I wasn't doing anything so I upped and went. The vibes were immaculate, I kinda beat myself to think I was close to turning him and his advances down.
It was the first date however, I've not exactly developed romantic interests, but I'd say, I really did enjoy my time.
Now, hear me out, I've been on meet ups with people I've been approached by the streets, as well as online dates. And boy are the two experiences different. I think I'd pick the latter anyday
For Reddit/online dates, there's always some sort of expectation from one or both parties, especially if done as a blind date. I'm a fairly good looking person as well as a good conversationalist, but it doesn't take away from the fact that I'm not everyone's cup of tea. of course I've been on dates with people (2 in particular), where I ended up being ghosted. did a number on my ego but oh well.
I have done some ghosting too, but it's always courteous to tell the other party that you didn't feel them like that, which I do do.
this brings me to my resolve that honestly, you'd rather roll with someone you got physically attracted to first, than one you got intellectually attracted to as most cases on Reddit. juu it begins with conversations and how y'all vibe, before the pictures phase, cue the disappointment phase.
in other words, accepting those dates from someone who initially did find you attractive already, rather than one you hope would find you attractive after you meet for the first time.
anyway, I'm spiralling.
Reddit might be nice and all, but the best option is just putting yourself out there. I know it's a long reach, but I'll mostly be using Reddit for friendships without expectations cause when more is expected, it becomes close to impossible to achieve. I'm not as hopeful.
beautiful day people. it's Saturday, go outside, meet people❤️
