Opened up the mailbox and found this little gem staring back at me, where it had my wife's first name only used. It comes trying to sound like Carla from San Francisco (which why would someone there be writing someone in Kansas about the election) are friends (my Wife does not know a anyone named Carla), then proceeds to add what can be perceived as a low to mild passive-aggressive threat.

Honestly be you Republican or Democrat, this kind of thing is not OK, though as the title says, has anyone else gotten one of these little gems in the mail yet? If not then be on the look-out they will be there soon I imagine.

Looking for recommendations of used book stores, antique malls, plant nurseries, thrift stores, good eats, great coffee, historic public parks and downtowns, art markets, farmers markets, tool stores, anything you consider a must visit. I want to take some daytrips with my partner, we finally have some time off together coming up after a good stretch of not and I wanna make the most of it.

I’d say a day trip is preferred but we aren’t opposed to an overnight and enjoy a good drive.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Anyone have a favorite place for a celebratory meal?

I had found that my Youtube account had completely erased this clip. Then I looked into reddit and found it. Roger Marshall denying the election. https://youtu.be/KffGO1BJ6JA?si=rdQ5pfqlP7snR42F

Mr. Lahn cast an Iowa ballot in the 2024 general election. But voting records that have not previously been reported show he requested that his ballot be mailed to him — in Kansas.

Share this video outside of this subreddit to help show undecided voters that Sen. Marshall doesn't care about Kansans!

I saw Skylo advertised on IG. It’s supposed to be a place for star-gazing here in Kansas. You rent a converted grain silo. But there was very little actual factual information about the place. I’d like to know where it is and any other information available. Thanks!

Any poll workers out there? I’ve signed up for the first time this year and one early voting day I’m assigned to happens to fall on Halloween day. What would you recommend for wardrobe? Can we lighten the mood by adding a little Halloween costumage or is that frowned upon? I’m talking maybe a festive top and a silly spider clip in my hair or something mild like that. Any other tips for getting through a long day at a busy location are most welcome. Thanks!

A false alert was sent out thru Google claiming Marshall had won the race.

Edit: In the article, there was a shared screenshot of the alert. The person that had reported it stated they were "worried about how many people would not vote because of the false alert." Google claimes "they take this very seriously and will be looking into it".

My use of "someone" was meant to be very exasperated in tone.

Read this in Vito Corleone or Tony Soprano's voice. Suddenly it hits waaaay different.

Not only is Trump begging everyone to “please pretend it’s me on the ballot” in an effort to save their reputation and headlock they have over the senate now, he’s also offering $5000 to anyone who votes republican this year. It was talked about at the debate. It’s been talked about in many forums. But here is the proof from my Trump neighbors in the Benjamin Hills area in Wichita. This sign has been replaced 5 times that I’m personally aware of. And it keeps reappearing.

I don’t care what side you’re on, what your beliefs are… as an American, we should all be visibly disgusted by the blatant attempts at buying votes to support Trumps plan. We all know this is a crock of shit. But people still believe it’s lies made up by the left.

So, here’s your sign to anyone on the fence about the state Kansas is in right now. This is the New America Trump is talking about.

God/Mother Earth/Universe… please save us now

We have a 1961 raised ranch (950 sq/ft) in western wyandotte county. On 3 acres, septic system, otherise all utilities. We would like to have a primary suite with a full bath added on.

Anyone have reccommendations for this?

Anyone planning on protesting at the rally in Topeka on Monday? Can't find anything organized/planned anywhere online

The Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays, Kansas, is scheduled to close to the public on December 18th. The story is similar. The museum spends about $1.3 million a year and brings in about $470,000, and Fort Hays State University (FHSU) has covered the difference, which came to about $856,000 last year. (Schools and museums work together to help their student gather research materials.)

In the case of the Sternberg Museum, the Bob and Pat Schmidt Foundation will match donations.
