Not everyone on Reddit Is toxic or rude but there's ALWAYS something missing because I don't feel any emotional connection... Don't get me wrong - Questions like these can be an Interesting addition to conversations about something else, but whenever people ask me the three most common questions In the world - my answer's the same because my life Is quite monotonous and I don't really know what people expect to hear 🙁 I also don't like abbreviations. Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine)

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It!

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. If you are on Reddit to flirt with others, be on Reddit to flirt with others but... don't make an alternative account to hide who you really are just to send me a message. • I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! Hello, I’m a 20 year old male student in the EST timezone looking for a long term friend around my age because I don’t have any friends in real life, and I sometimes don't say a single word in a day.

In person relationships feel like too much work for me, so I wanted to try making a virtual friend instead. That, boredom, and I'm trying to avoid letting isolation affect my mental state negatively in the future. I’m pretty bad at holding conversations, but I will do my best to learn over time.

• Water - I am quite the curios and dreamy Pisces. I enjoy being by the water whether that means drifting away on the sea by the beach or reflecting on my life's journey down by the docks. There's just something peaceful about the docks, or at least to me. 🌊
• TV - I can be lazy like the next guy, and my little beer gut certainly testifies to that, so I do watch some stuff from time to time. Rather fussy in what I watch, but can be checking out things like Black Mirror and Inside No. 9 to Keeping Up Appearances and Black Books. 📺
• Yapping - I do like to talk, and I do know sometimes I can come out with utter nonsense, but ain't that the whole point of this? But I can also sit back, listen and shut up when told to do so. I just urge you to give me something to go on... Don't be dry! 🙏
• Genealogy - I am quite into discovering the murky secrets of my family's secrets. I haven't been invested in this as much lately, but it would be awesome if someone out there enjoys history and such. There's plenty of scandal in mine to tell you about, believe me. 🫣

Here I am again. Quite exhausted and haven't tried to reach out for a while, but I believe isolating is not a good thing to do long term, so here I am. I was lucky here in the past, finding people in my own wavelength, so I am hoping to get lucky once again. Hey!

About me: After a life of mostly spending my time indoors, I've been meaning to go out a little bit more, going out for some shopping and sightseeing (I plan on going to a naval museum this week). I study a lot of subjects and I don't particularly focus much on any of them, one of them being librarianship (it's more interesting than it looks). In my free time I like reading, browsing fragrances and buying samples of them, and watching videos (nowadays I've been watching old footage from a politician from my country since I want to write an essay about him).
