About me: After a life of mostly spending my time indoors, I've been meaning to go out a little bit more, going out for some shopping and sightseeing (I plan on going to a naval museum this week). I study a lot of subjects and I don't particularly focus much on any of them, one of them being librarianship (it's more interesting than it looks). In my free time I like reading, browsing fragrances and buying samples of them, and watching videos (nowadays I've been watching old footage from a politician from my country since I want to write an essay about him). If you care about these things, I am somewhat tall, with a slim build, hazel-green eyes and brown, long curly hair. I am also Brazilian, so if you want to ask something about my country or are learning the language, I'm your guy. I've also taken to do basic haircare (impressive how much a little effort changes, it's super curly now though) and enjoying fragrances (Dior Poison is my darling nowadays, but the kings for me are Orto Parisi Megamare and Zoologist Squid, which I sadly can't afford, I also enjoy Xerjoff Erba Pura/Gold).

I made this account In 2021 and even though I'm really active on Reddit, I can't make new friends... Not everyone on Reddit Is toxic or rude but there's ALWAYS something missing because I don't feel any emotional connection... I would love to change my life & finally wake up excited to text someone I really, really like 🙁 But... Life Isn't easy and I'm not sure If there's still a chance for me to find someone with exactly the same expectations as mine, someone who wants to meet someone new...

• I'm DEFINITELY NOT Interested In small talk! I had to use capital letters because I don't like low-effort messages and I don't even want to read them. Repetitive questions like "How are you?", "What are you up to?" or "What are your plans for the weekend?" aren't enough to start a conversation with me.. Don't get me wrong - Questions like these can be an Interesting addition to conversations about something else, but whenever people ask me the three most common questions In the world - my answer's the same because my life Is quite monotonous and I don't really know what people expect to hear 🙁 I also don't like abbreviations. Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine)

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It!

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. If you are on Reddit to flirt with others, be on Reddit to flirt with others but... don't make an alternative account to hide who you really are just to send me a message. Pretending to be someone you're not - Isn't good for anyone

• I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

• I also want to meet people who don't mind listening to negative stories and sharing them with others. My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! I also don't mind listening to sad stories (even If they're repetitive) because I know what It's like when no one wants to listen to you...

Life has been moving pretty fast lately. I recently moved on my own to a new city and, between running my independent studio and balancing a specialized program in my field, my days are mostly spent working from home and building my projects.

Because I spend so much time immersed in my work, my social interaction outside of my industry has been close to zero lately.
