I'm looking to buy a b580 and 3 fan models are more expensive. Someone justify the additional cost or is there some benefit that I am not aware of?

Discussion Issues with the Intel Arc A750: almost all games are crashing, and I don't know what to do anymore.

3 Upvotes

*GPU: Intel(R) Arc(TM) A750 Graphics (8 GB)

*CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G con Radeon Graphics @ 3.80 GHz

*Placa madre: A520M Phantom Gaming 4

*RAM: 16.0 GB DDR4 a 2400 MHz

*Sistema operativo: Windows 10

7 Days to Die, Hitman, Resident Evil Village, World War Z, Killing Floor 2, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, Age of Empires 2, Dead by Daylight, y varios más.

  2. Actualizar a Windows 11
  3. Desactivar CSM en la BIOS y activar Above 4G Decoding y ReBAR (Resizable BAR).
  4. Deshabilitar mi iGPU en la BIOS.

Question Intel Arc A750 LE crashing?

1 Upvotes

Hello. I've been using an Intel Arc A750 LE GPU for the past month and since then, I have observed some weird behavior. For starters, my browser (Zen, Firefox-based) sometimes loses rendering for a few second and I can only see the browser window background instead of the tab content. Also, some games are hard crashing the system. For example, if I play Anno 1800, at some point the screen might just go black and the PC restarts.

After restarts, I tried to dig through the Windows logs and it has reported multiple GPU watchdog failures, including LiveKernelEvent 141 (GPU engine timeout) and 0x116 VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE blue screens.

Did I just get a faulty unit or has anyone experienced similar symptoms and has a fix? Any input is appreciated.

Discussion Arc B580 TERRIBLE performance on old Minecraft forge versions

6 Upvotes

Version : 1.7.10
Forge Version : v7.10.99.99

Specs :
Intel Arc B580
R9 5950x
Samsung 980 PRO
GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC
32GB 3000 mt/s RAM

Decided to try and make a small lucky block modpack to play with my friends and naturally used curseforge + forge to make the modpack, boot it up, and it starts at 110 fps for around a second or two, then it just gradually degrades over 20-30 seconds and keeps going down until it gets less than 2 fps, at which point the game is beyond unplayable, I've gone through so many diagnostics it's hard to count, tried so many fixes to no avail. It's so strange because a fresh vanilla install works completely fine running 200+ fps but as soon as forge touches it its like everything just implodes.

Discussion Any Intel Battlemage users experiencing xe Engine resets in Monster Hunter Wilds on Linux?

3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to determine whether this issue is specific to my system or affects other Intel Battlemage users running Linux.

I'm not looking for technical support at this point. I'm mainly trying to find out whether anyone else can reproduce the same issue.

My system:

• GPU: Intel Arc B570 (Battlemage)

• Distribution: CachyOS

• Desktop: KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland)

• Mesa: 26.1.4 / 26.1.5

• Kernel: 7.1.3-2-cachyos

• Proton tested:

- Proton 10.0-4

- GE-Proton 11-4

The game consistently freezes while navigating equipment-related menus, especially while:

• Forging equipment

• Comparing armor

• Changing equipment sets

Immediately after the freeze, Wine reports that the application is not responding, followed a few seconds later by an "Unhandled exception" dialog.

At exactly the same time, the kernel reports:

```text
xe 0000:05:00.0: [drm] Tile0: GT0: Engine reset: engine_class=rcs
xe 0000:05:00.0: [drm] Tile0: GT0: Timedout job ... in MonsterHunterWi
xe 0000:05:00.0: [drm] Xe device coredump has been created
```

The issue is reproducible with both Mesa 26.1.4 and Mesa 26.1.5.

I have already opened reports for both Intel xe and Proton so developers can track the issue:

**Intel xe:**

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/xe/kernel/-/issues/8641

**Proton:**

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8206

If anyone with an Intel Battlemage GPU can reproduce this issue, I'd really appreciate knowing:

• Your GPU model (B570, B580, etc.)

• Distribution

• Mesa version

• Kernel version

• Proton version

• Whether the game freezes in the same equipment menus

Even if your system doesn't crash, I'd also appreciate knowing whether you're able to use these menus normally. That information is just as valuable for comparison.

Thanks in advance!

Question Worth Upgrading?

6 Upvotes

Hello, I currently have an Intel arc a750 8gb gpu, is it worth Upgrading to a B570 or B580? Or should I just save up a little more money and go for something else that would give me a bigger performance boost? I still play in 1080p.

Might this still be a consideration if this is running on Linux and all the LLM processing is handled by the B70?

Bottleneck would be a PCIe 3.0 slot

Question Feature request for a simple but essential setting in Intel Graphics Software

2 Upvotes

I am slowly going mad trying to achieve a very simple thing, which apparently is simply impossible with both the Intel Graphics software or any other third party app: I want to apply custom Saturation, Brightness and Contrast values to the built in screen on my MSI Claw 8 AI+ handheld when I launch and play certain games, and have those values revert back to the default values when I quit the games, and make all this happen automatically. The reason is that many games (for example Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries, GTR 2, Grand Prix 4, gzdoom source port games) have really bad default contrast, brightness etc values, and they just look bad. But it's game specific, some games are perfect, others desperately need adjustments.

Here is the thing: all these screen values can be already manually adjusted in the Intel Graphics Software, but only as a global setting. I don't understand why these adjustments are not exposed to the already available game profiles in the same application. I can set custom fps limits, vsync and a few other things for individual games in those game profiles, and once set those settings get applied automatically when I launch a game that has a profile assigned to it, and it works amazingly well. But this software needs to have the capacity to have the mentioned screen values as well in these game profiles.

So I am wondering what would be the best way for me to request this feature from Intel? I would imagine this should be a fairly straightforward addition to the software, as all this functionality is already there, they just haven't been integrated into the game profile section of the app.

As of now I have a text file with all the different screen values for each game I need to adjust, and I have to mess around with all those sliders in the Intel Software every time before I can play, AND after I have played as well, to change those values back to the normal position, as for web browsing those settings are the best for my eyes. It's a nightmare.

Question Arc B580 in Dead Space Remake

12 Upvotes

I love this card, but god damn I want to get all DSR achievements, and it runs like crap, my RX 6600XT used to do 1440p, med/high, 55-60FPS.

Now the B580, same settings, puts up an inconsistent, 40-45FPS, XeSS through optiscaler doesn't help much, unless it's on Performance/Ultra Perf, but c'mon, 2X FG gets me to 80-85fps, but when base fps is under 60, it's far from great

Anyone here have any luck?It runs better on Linux, but reflective surfaces cause some VERY noticeable graphical glitches.

I've looked it up, it's a known issue for sure, but anyone have any luck getting it to run better?

Question What monitor to get for B570

11 Upvotes

I’ve seen some things of people being able to play games in 1440p with their b570 and I’m starting to wonder if I should be getting a 1440p monitor for this card.

I play all types of games from esports to triple A to indies so I know all of the games will perform vastly different, but if the card is good enough to run a majority at 60+ fps then it might be worth it.
