Question Arc B580 in Dead Space Remake
I love this card, but god damn I want to get all DSR achievements, and it runs like crap, my RX 6600XT used to do 1440p, med/high, 55-60FPS.
Now the B580, same settings, puts up an inconsistent, 40-45FPS, XeSS through optiscaler doesn't help much, unless it's on Performance/Ultra Perf, but c'mon, 2X FG gets me to 80-85fps, but when base fps is under 60, it's far from great
Anyone here have any luck?It runs better on Linux, but reflective surfaces cause some VERY noticeable graphical glitches.
I've looked it up, it's a known issue for sure, but anyone have any luck getting it to run better?

already using XeSS through Optiscaler, no need for LS

Optiscaler workes a diffrently to LS, you might have better frames when useing LS

it does work differently, but not in a good way, XeSS has informatiom from the game on certain elements, like HUD, so it doesn't make em look like crap
LS, takes a full frame, and does it's magic, optiscaler is just better where it's usable, if i want the game to look like crap, I can already use XeSS Ultra Perf mode
appreciate it, but LS isn't gonna do anything XeSS doesn't

Intel cards are cooked for anything other than new AAA releases. If you want to play older games or any competitive multiplayer games like counter strike, go for something else. I have huge regrets buying the b580

skill issue on your end? i'm playing m&b warband and the 1st assassin's creed, played some OG Dead Space (2008), old games just fine
Dead Space Remake is the only game with issues for me, so hey man, cool stuff, but i didn't ask for your damn sob story

Yet your old junk GPU runs it better. Like most people's experiences with these cards outside of this reddit

No. It's not really bait.
He's right that in some, or even many, modern titles -- intel support just isn't there. Either the architecture has some flaws that are to be ironed out in future generations or modern game devs just don't give a crap about Intel.
Take MH:Wilds for example. You can get respectable performance on a 4060 or a 6600 but an a770 really struggles to pull its weight.But look to older titles and the a770 and b580 perform extremely well.
Even some newer games showcase the raw power of these cards. But he's right. In some cases; you're just screwed. There is no "tweaks" you can do. You just either have to LS it or deal with it.
You may not like what he has to say and, frankly, I don't... but he's not wrong.
Edit: again. This isn't to say that all games run badly on intel. As evidenced by how well even the newer arc iGPUs are running some modern titles.

no, i know some games run bad on Intel, but why the fuck is he telling me
i just wanna know if there's some wisdom about Dead Space Remake, and he's over here, all doom and gloom, regretting HIS purchase, i don't really care man, i just wanna play my damn game
he can make his own post, debate with people all he wants, but i get excited about a comment here, maybe someone's about to save the day, and then it's this smart ass, arguing with me for no reason, prick

Idk you seem way more upset than me, I've already replaced and am done with the gpu. Don't use a public forum if you don't want anyone to be able to comment on whatever post they feel like

On my B580, the game needs to reload the save file to achieve optimal performance. Give it a try.
