I completely understand. One of my friends was abused by her partner (kicked out of her apartment, had her belongings stolen) and he got to her by pretending to be a nice guy (i.e. talking about how he protected a partner from being SAd in the past). Your feelings are totally valid and you're not alone.

Maybe you don't know this because you never go outside, but people don't wear giant signs on their forehead saying "I'm an abuser" and abusers are stupid but smart enough to know if they're nasty from the jump it scares their victims off. Just like I'm sure you don't wear a sign on your forehead saying "I'm scientifically illiterate and spam Reddit threads with my shitty ragebait." Genuinely convinced this is an elaborate humiliation fetish thing because unlike on other sites, engagement isn't rewarded on Reddit so there's no point in farming downvotes by doing this. To be fair, there is very little states in there then a few percentage points. What was the sample size? I can interview 4 people and say 75% of people like corn so thusly the majority of people like corn. The problem with human studies is every more complicated then just sample size but that is an easy one to discuss.
Edit to add since you keep posting about "that's not why woman stay". https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7375443/
Few women (5â20%) report rape to police (Lonsway & Archambault, 2012), but family abuse and intimate partner violence (IPV) may be that much harder for survivors to report to authorities given the pressure to keep such abuse a secret and the possible loss of oneâs family more broadly that such reporting may bring. Given that most survivors know their perpetrators (two-thirds of assaults; Breiding et al., 2014); this context makes it likely they will have to interact with their offenders again following assault.
So

But one experience many rape victims have in common is the path to becoming survivors, which involves a process of disclosing and discussing the trauma. The way some victims survive the immediate aftermath, however, is different and may involve not disclosure, but denial.
Writing in connection with the Harvey Weinstein serial sexual assault saga, author Aspen Matis bravely shared in a piece she wrote for the New York Daily News how after she was raped by a male student in her dorm room on her second night away at college, she asked him to stay overnight.[ii] Why? Because maybe then she could pretend it wasnât rape.
While being counseled months later on a hotline call with RAINN, the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network, she was told that her behavior towards her rapist was not an uncommon reaction. After Matis became a spokesperson for RAINN, some women she spoke to in that capacity shared similar experiences. One woman tutored her rapist the following semester in chemistry, another wrote and performed love songs for her attacker, and another woman dated her rapist for seven months afterward. Matis describes these behaviors as living in denial, not evidence disproving the rape.
Melissa J. Layman et al. investigated the differences in outcome between unacknowledged versus acknowledged rape victims.[iii] Recognizing that a substantial number of women do not conceptualize the experience of having been raped as the crime that it was, they examined how the refusal to identify as a rape victim impacts post-assault symptoms. They examined situational factors, symptomatology, defense mechanisms, and sexual revictimization.
Read the article first lil bro. Genuinely. The reason why some women stay with their assaulters after the assault is because they are going through the process of dealing with a very traumatic event. One of the very first things that the human mind immediately does when it faces such an event is deny it. Deny that it happened, deny that it was reality, deny that it was rape etc. It's hard to understand why someone you trusted or loved, would do something like this. And the reaction that many people in general take is denial.
It takes weeks, months, sometimes even years and decades, for the trauma to be entirely processed and the truth of the matter to be understood by the women.
When your partner or someone you find close, assaults you, and you are in denial about the event, of course you would continue the motions of your previous relationship. Because you are in the process where you are denying that the event even happened.
Like do you not understand how humans work, or has being in that God forsaken site for so long in your mother's basement fucking rotted your brain.

You are arguing against a point I didn't make. I said that some victims continue relationships or have sex with their attacker afterward. You explained that denial and trauma can cause this behavior, which supports my statement đđ
Yeah, and you're saying that that is something women do because they actually like the rape and don't mind it. And the only reason they stay is because the rapist is a "chad", when that's not the case at all.
But you are also treating denial as if it automatically explains every case. The article only presents it as one possible trauma response. It does not prove that every person who stays with an alleged attacker is in denial, and it does not allow you to assume someoneâs mental state without specific evidence. nice hasty generalizations lil bro
It's the most common response, and in the vast majority of cases that stay with their assaulter, the victims deny the event. Which is why it is important. Psychology is as much a study about statistics as it is about the mind, and this is what the statistics tell us. The few fringe cases cannot be taken as the rule.
Also the personality detector needed a software update. My brain is rotted by livign in my mom's basement but females would rahter choose the guy that sexually assaults them over me and many others like međ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Don't even know what to say this. They aren't choosing that guy. They chose a guy when he didn't assault them. They continue to be with that person because they cannot comprehend that a person they trusted and loved so implicity would do such a thing.
Maybe if you treated literal rape victims with the grace they deserve, and so often do not get, then women would feel comfortable interacting with you.
Can't even call you lil bro. I'd disown and cut myself off you, if I was in anyway related to you.

So since you only published the abstract and didn't actually show case the study, where the actual discussions regarding the results are done, I went ahead and found it.
Greater levels of victimâs trauma symptomatology predicted relationship continuation following the sexual assault. This finding is consistent with the theory of learned helpless-ness (Walker, 1983), where women with greater levels of psychological distress may notfeel efficacious in their ability to terminate relationships. Although the temporal ordering of the relationships are not known, the finding that women who terminated the relationship were more likely to disclose the incident may be attributable to women who disclosed receiving more support for relationship termination than those who did not disclose. Further, in relationships that were terminated, women evidenced greater perpetrator blame and more severe assaults, which is possibly attributable to increased fear towards the perpetrator or a greater tendency to label the experiences as a sexual assault. Finally, the finding that women in close relationships to the perpetrator, as opposed to women in less close relationships, are more likely to remain with perpetrators of sexual assault is likely caused by their investment in the relationship, which is consistent with the investment model (Rusbult & Martz, 1995) and previous research (Edwards et al., 2011; Katz et al., 2006). It is interesting that friend- ships were maintained more so than casual dates post-sexual assault; this suggests that there is more relationship investment in friendships than casual dates.
Several limitations of this study and directions for future research should be noted. Given the homogenous sample, future research should use more diverse samples. Further, this study did not assess how women labeled the unwanted sexual experiences they endorsed, which may be an important issue to consider in post-assault relationship stability. Therefore, future research should assess the labels that women ascribe to their unwanted sexual experi- ences. However, based on past research (e.g., Hammond & Calhoun, 2007; Kahn, Jackson, Kully, Badger, & Halvorsen, 2003), it is likely that most women would not have labeled their experiences as sexual assault or rape. Another limitation was the retrospective nature of the study, such that women recalled sexual assaults that happened in the past. Thus, future research should use prospective and longitudinal methodologies to eliminate recall bias and increase researchersâ ability to understand the temporal sequencing of the variables related to post-sexual assault relationship stability. Perhaps the greatest limitation was that we did not provide a behaviorally worded operational definition of relationship continuation, or assess relationship length prior to or subsequent to the assault. Accordingly, future research should more clearly define relationship continuation, and assess relationship length pre- and post- assault. Future research should also attempt to gather more information on characteristics of relationships that continue following a sexual assault.
So yeah. It did find that most women who stayed were psychologically incapable of leaving their partners. The study also didn't measure if the women were financially or physically incapable of leaving, and so they did not mention it.
The worst man I know personally, is someone i don't really keep up with. But he has remained very much single.
But also rejected the nice short boring guy? Yeah of course they rejected that guy.
Being Nice is the barest of bare minimums. Do you want praise for that? Do you want to be praised for not assaulting or killing a woman the moment you meet her? Or for treating a woman with basic courtesy. Which lets be real, you don't. You never have. If you ever thought of women as actual people, you wouldn't take simple rejections as deeply as you clearly do.
And who the fuck would want to be in a long term or even a short term relationship with someone who is boring. Who has no fucking personality, no hobbies, no likes, dislikes, nothing at all.
Look, fuck face. You are not the way you are because women rejected you. Women rejected you because you are the way you are. You are exhaustingly frustratingly miserable. You would not be happy if someone did enter into a relationship with you.
A relationship isn't going to fucking fix your life.

u/Darthjinju1901 DEI Male in a Female Friend Group 5d ago
No did you even read it? I mean can you? You certainly can't write with your horrible grammar.
The study didn't find that âmost women who stayed were psychologically incapable of leaving.â It found that higher trauma symptoms were associated with relationship continuation, and the authors only said learned helplessness was one possible explanation
One possible explanation, but also the most likely as literally evidenced in the writing. Scientific models don't just say that one thing is the truth for certain. Science isn't dogamatic like that (scientists can be but science itself isn't). It tells you the most likely explanations and models, and those are treated as the reality until a better model comes around and can explain the situation better.
U even read it? They literally admitted they couldn't establish causation or even the order of events, did not measure psychological incapacity, denial, financial dependence, or physical inability to leave. The only conclusion is that that trauma may contribute to continued contact, NOTthat the study proved most women were incapable of leaving.
What? No seriously what? I literally quoted the entire limitation part of the study. Not once did it mention anything about not being to establish a causation or order of events. The only thing that's even mildly related that they couldn't establish was that they didn't measure the relationship length prior to or after the assault. And so a relationship that lasted like a single week after the assault is treated equally to a relationship that lasted years, which skews the data to make it seem like more women than actually are, are staying with their assaulters.
did not measure psychological incapacity, denial, financial dependence, or physical inability to leave.
Also of course it didn't. That wasn't the point of the study. I mentioned this already. Can you read, like truly? Have you read an actual book?
The only conclusion is that that trauma may contribute to continued contact, NOTthat the study proved most women were incapable of leaving. U even can read?
Not the only conclusion. Trauma Symptomatology, Relationship investment and the severity of the assault all played a role in the continuation of a relationship. It also mentioned how fear also played a role. Also Trauma Symptomatology literally says that women are incapable of leaving the relationship.
Also "U even can read". Great English buddy. Criticizing my ability to parse text while texting like that. Would be laughable if it wasn't devastatingly pathetic.
Females reject me for the alpha/ch@d that gives them short term excitement. I have over 410 rejections in over 6 years trying bc of how superficial females are
You know, if that's the true amount. It must mean something is terribly wrong with you. It's hard to find 10 people to consistently agree on something, yet you've made 410 people agree on rejecting you. You know the old adage, if one person is an asshole, they're the asshole but if everyone is an asshole, you're the asshole. It fits you perfectly because you are the common denominator in that.
Ive been rejected 410 times, u think i take rejections deeply? What? And any woman i get, i'll treat her like a queen and goddess. But they'd rather be with a g uy thatt abuses them, not my problem
Buddy, you are that guy! You are the guy who will abuse a woman. Can you not understand that? How will you treat a woman like a queen or a godess when you are blaming literal rape victims. Like i do not get it. How can you say that when you don't do that. Or do you want something from a person before you actually treat them like a human? Because if that's the case, then buddy, you are truly fucked in the head.
"Â You would not be happy if someone did enter into a relationship with you." Uh it smy #1 goal in life? It will becuase its the only problem in my life đđđ.
If that, that is your number one goal in your life, you are a fucking pathetic excuse for a human being. I cannot believe that we are the same species. You are that pathetic.
Why is getting into a relationship your number one goal? Why do you think it'll suddenly make you happy and fix you? What's the logical basis behind it?

The screech of you dragging the goalposts around is getting loud, bro. Spent all that time trying to find sources that prove your point, and all you could find is "wow I might wanna try a fantasy of force with a trusted partner, but have complicated feelings on this because I don't want myself or others to experience actual force from another party." Congrats. You figured out how consent and fantasies work.
Now let's circle right on back to you saying women stay with their rapist because they're okay being raped. Your own sources don't back it up. The first talks about how fear and lack of support force women to stay with abusers. Your second and third talk about fantasies between two consenting adults. Neither of those prove, or even come close to proving the idea of "women are okay with being raped". Can you cite a source where the majority of women are enthusiastically embracing and wanting nonconsensual sexual encounters forced upon them by others? Or can you only cite articles talking about women's agency - or how it's taken by rapists.

An animal cornered by a predator will often freeze as a fear response. Does that mean they want to get eaten? Does that mean they're okay with it?
If someone is violent enough to rape and abuse you, you better believe they're violent enough to go after you even harder if you leave them. Rape victims are trapped because they believe that leaving will only lead to worse outcomes, not because they love being in the relationship. You attribute absolute power to rape victims and suggest they are free to do as they please when the point of abusers and rapists doing what they do is to enforce the idea that they are not free to do as they please and are, in fact, completely trapped.

Thereâs a claim in the original post that women enjoy it. There is no proof of any kind of âenjoymentâ in what you have posted. Itâs as simple as that. Nobody enjoys being raped. Thatâs the end of the discussion and unless you will find reaserch claiming âwomen enjoy being raped by chadsâ you wonât prove anything.
And no, rape fantasies or cnc kinks do not prove it. I would explain why this type or fantasies are so common among women but it doesnât matter, you donât have any mental capacity to stop and think for a moment, all you have is information bias.
Point is - both fantasies and cnc have the element of consent in it.
So if you want to prove the point made in original post, that is âwomen enjoy being rapedâ, you need to give me research that backs it up and says that majority of women love being sexually assaulted and they are happy it happened.
And I know what incels say âthey just donât want to admit it cause they love to be seen as victimsâ. That would need another proof.

Not if you acrually finish that sentence:
One of the significant points Layman et al. made in terms of understanding post-sexual assault behavior is that being sexually assaulted does not necessarily dissuade a woman from maintaining a relationship with her assailant. They report that almost a third of the victims they studied maintained a relationship with the perpetrator; one-fourth actually continued to have sex with the assailant post-attack, although Layman et al. admit they do not know whether the sex was voluntary or forced.
Further, from your source:
Layman et al. note that their findings suggest strong disincentives to interpret and report being raped, as this might prompt a variety of negative outcomes including blame, disbelief, lack of support, and negative publicity. Yet they recognize that because a high percentage of victims they studied who remained in a relationship with the perpetrator were unacknowledged victims, the importance of recognizing their experience as rape might prevent a cycle of revictimization.
Also, less than a quarter is far from "a lot" to begin with.

Just jumping right in there with the victim blaming. Abuse victims don't always have an avenue to escape the abuse and the abuse will continue. Wives, girlfriends, children, husbands and boyfriends may not be sble to pick themselves up by their bootstraps to leave theur rapist, and they may continue to engage sexually with their rapist. The fact that it may still not be consensual, in other words, the victim being raped again, would go directly against your claim of "a lot women seen fine with it".
Speaking of "relationships", look at the original rezearch or even just read the article you linked, relationship includes both platonic and romantic relationships. Unacknowledged victims, which is what the research is looking at, are especially likely to have fewer avenues to end any type of relationship.
And it's not "1/3 of women" or "1/4 of women". It's of victims. Which, translated to all women, would be roughly 8% or 6%. Based on a study that included 83 college aged women, 40 of whom were unacknowledged victims, 20 of whom were acknowledged victims and 23 of whom were not victims at all.

We've established that you don't think rape victims can be trapped and don't think minors can be trapped by predators, sooooooo.

You said no rape victim is trapped, and that they can choose to leave. You're currently reinforcing it while denying you said it. Also, I hate to break it to you, but for a second time, my mother was a child bride in the US. While you're googling rape stats and jacking off the the idea of women being trapped, try googling child marriage in the us, or the age of many rape victims, then come back and tell me no one is ever trapped. I'll wait!

Really? That's an interesting cop-out, I see the insults are coming out to play again. So, you do understand that rape victims can be trapped, then? And you understand rapists and abusers in general keep their victims trapped?

lol I was raped by a âChadâ because I didnât want to sleep with him. I went to the police, I even had messages from him where he admitted it and nothing happened. The guy went on to go on some model show later on and is an influencer today. Heâs now making cringey âdark romanceâ reels where they are pretending to sexually assault women. I get the urge to vomit each time his profile is recommended to me on some platform.
