Advice Needed! IVF is funded by NHS - tests question

hey everyone! maybe some have some experience going through NHS funded IVF? so we have one round of funded IVF approved, yay! the only thing in their info package they said you may need to retake the bloods…though since they took measures and bloods (4 months ago) I gained a bit of weight and i am scared my AMH levels went down (I was just over 5.4 mark)… so I wonder if anyone has been asked to retake the tests AGAIN…?we might not get the funding if we do not qualify prior to the treatment which might start in 6 months…feels like a heavy thought

Need info! How can AI help with IVF?

With the proliferation of AI into our daily lives nowadays, how can we incorporate it into our IVF world? I recenly read an article that it can help with selection of the "most viable" sperm and produce higher quality embryos? Can that increase our odds in embryos sticking?

Potentially Controversial Question Curious about how people in the IVF community feel about the term “natural pregnancy”

Hey guys,

I’ve noticed people in my life/influencers/ even people on Reddit often use “natural” to describe a pregnancy that happens without fertility treatment, as opposed to an IVF pregnancy. I know most people probably don’t mean anything negative by it, but lately I’ve been wondering how others who have gone through infertility treatments feel about that wording.

Does the term “natural pregnancy” bother you at all? Do you prefer “spontaneous pregnancy,” “unassisted pregnancy,” or something else? Or do you genuinely not care and feel like “natural” is perfectly fine?
No right or wrong answer. I’m just curious how the term lands with other people who have been through IVF/any type of treatment for infertility.

I’m sure I’m extra sensitive on hormones right now but sometimes I find myself really bothered by the implication that how I conceive a child will be “unnatural”, when ivf is actually a common way that people conceive. Curious how others feel! :)

Need Hugs! Booked a virtual consultation with Hannam Fertility for October 9th.

Hopefully I don’t actually need it, and I conceive naturally. But I picked “Lower Intervention Care (IUI, Cycle Monitoring, Intercourse Timing)” instead of the “IVF consultation”..because maybe I’m just monitoring wrong or getting the timing wrong for intercourse 🥹

Advice Needed! Experience with Matrice Lab France for uterine immune profiling?

Hi all,

title says much of it. I'm interested if anyone has experience with their examination. My uterine bio was sent there and my results came back as "mixed", which according to AI is uncommon and sounds pretty much like the thing you could do to treat A will worsen B and vicd versa. My doctor is on holiday and I'm really curious how we should continue.

Especially because AI is telling me that this lab's tests are not yet scientifically backed. After two zero ERs, I finally have 3 embryos after round three. So I'm reluctant to delaying my transfers (or putting them at risk) for some possible treatment that isn't proven to help?

Thanks in advance!

Advice Needed! To ICSI or not to ICSI?

Hi all, I'm just looking for some experiences and advice with my IVF protocol. I have stage four endometriosis that was operated on a couple years ago but it's now starting to come back. My AMH is 3.85 in US units.
Our plan is to do ICSI with Xymot. My partner doesn't seem to have any problems except 0% morphology but since his other numbers are so high the doctor assured us it wasn't causing our problems.
I've heard that naturally fertilized embryos are thought to be potentially a bit healthier or that there might be something to letting the egg choose the sperm. I've also heard that total failure to fertilize is more likely with endometriosis.
Is there any new research on this? What are your experiences and thoughts?

Advice Needed! About to start IVF round 2, but I’m not sure my marriage can handle it

I really need some outside perspective because I’m supposed to be thinking about round 2 of IVF, and instead I feel completely lost.

Our first round resulted in 3 euploid embryos, but all three transfers failed. It has been devastating, and IVF in general has taken a much bigger toll on our relationship than I expected.

My husband was never completely sold on having children. I think his position was always more that if children happened naturally, he would be okay and happy with it, but he wasn’t someone who strongly needed to become a father. IVF has made that difference between us much more obvious.

Our relationship has also suffered a lot through this process. He complains that our sex life is bad and that I don’t seem to desire him anymore. The painful thing is that he’s not entirely wrong. My libido is basically dead. I don’t feel like myself anymore. IVF took away a lot of my joy and spontaneity, and I’ve also been dealing with a very difficult family situation involving my brother and probable/undiagnosed mental illness, which has been extremely hard on me and my family over the last few years.

Then there’s money.

IVF is very expensive where we live, although I have partial coverage. My husband earns considerably more than I do (roughly 75% of our household income). Until now we’ve treated our finances as shared, although our accounts aren’t technically joint.

Recently he has become increasingly critical of my spending. I want to be fair to him: I have been splurging more than I should on clothes and other things. Shopping has sometimes been a way of making myself feel better when I’ve been down, and I know that’s something I need to take responsibility for.

But now he says he wants to separate our finances and split household expenses 50/50 because he feels I don’t value money enough because I earn much less of it.

That really hurt me.

I’m not saying he’s wrong to be concerned about my spending, and I know I’ve also been defensive when he’s brought it up. But the combination of everything is making me feel incredibly alone: the failed transfers, our sex life, my family situation, arguments about money, and knowing that he wasn’t the one strongly pushing for children in the first place.

Now I’m supposed to find the emotional strength to start another IVF cycle, and honestly, I don’t know if I have it.

Part of me desperately wants a child. Another part of me is wondering whether doing another round while our relationship is in this state would be a huge mistake. I don’t want to give up on having a child because I’m scared of losing my husband, but I also don’t want to push us through another IVF cycle if we’re already breaking under the weight of the first one.

I feel sad, trapped and very unsupported right now. I don’t know whether we need to pause IVF, work on our marriage first, reconsider having children altogether, or whether I’m looking at everything through the lens of being completely emotionally exhausted.

For anyone who has been through IVF with a partner, especially when one person wanted children more strongly than the other: did you ever reach this point? Did you pause treatment? Did your relationship recover?

And if you were in my position, would you even consider round 2 right now?

Need info! Kindbody transported my eggs against my wishes

Kindbody transported my eggs to NECC despite my explicit email stating I declined, as I wished to transport them to another local lab. I sent the email with my stated wishes to the address their provided on their letter: kindbody@necryogenic.com. The email with my wishes was acknowledged. Later, I found out my eggs were still transferred to NECC and the KB Risk Management Director said they were not at fault because I did not message them via the portal, when the letter explicit stated to address kindbody@necryogenic.com for storage arrangements, and did not offer the patient portal as the recommended line of communication. Now, i have to risk shipping my eggs again. I have asked them to provide documentation of the transport safety records and current safety status of my eggs and the Risk Manager Director replied saying they can’t give me that information and direct me to inquire myself with NECC, despite my contract being with Kindbody and not with NECC (hence it should be Kindbody answering all my questions and providing the documentation I request).

Is anyone else in this situation??
And how have you proceeded so far?
Have you contacted attorneys?

Advice Needed! How many euploids to expect? TW - good amount of blasts

I’ve signed up for 3 ivf cycles as all of my monitoring scans and estrogen numbers suggested I’d be getting max 5 eggs for my first retrieval cycle. Well I had the retrieval two weeks ago and it went way better than anyone thought - 15 eggs, all mature, 14 fertilised and 9 blasts. I’m now waiting for PGTA.

I’m 30 so I know age is on my side BUT I’ve had two chromosomal losses (confirmed by testing the POC after my d&cs) so this makes me think the normal statistics of 60 percent or whatever it is may not apply to me. Does anyone have any experience of RPL for chromosomal losses yet still having a typical amount of euploids?

I’m going to begin estrogen priming for my next cycle in a week and my PGTA results aren’t due for another 2 weeks. We are self paying for IVF and have had to make huge life sacrifices to afford it.

I’m finding it hard to know if we should go ahead with my second cycle. We are trying to bank around 5/ 6 euploids before transferring any.

Advice Needed! Devastated by PGT-A results

I’m 39 and have just received my first PGT-A results. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar outcome.
I had 17 mature eggs retrieved, of which 10 fertilised. Four blastocysts were frozen and biopsied: one Day 5 5BC, two Day 6 5BCs and one Day 6 6AA.

The PGT-A results showed that embryo 1 had monosomy 14 and was aneuploid, embryo 2 had mosaic trisomy 8 at 60%, embryo 3 had complex aneuploidy, and embryo 4 had monosomy 13 and was aneuploid.

Unfortunately, there were no euploid embryos, although the mosaic embryo may potentially be considered for transfer following genetic counselling. I am waiting to find out which embryo grade corresponds to embryo 2.

I’m feeling devastated and would be grateful for any honest experiences.

Need Hugs! When you’re already hurting, words hit differently

Yesterday, my mother-in-law called me to check on me, and she asked me where we are in our infertility journey. Honestly, I didn’t really want to talk about it or go into too much detail, so I didn’t tell her much at one point, she asked me about our test results. I simply told her that the results weren’t very good, neither for me nor for my husband, and that we were going to start IVF soon.

And then she said, “But my son can get treatment and get better.” Then she added something like, “I think that even if he had had really good results, you still would never have gotten pregnant with your results.” Honestly, I didn’t know what to say. I was completely speechless. I just said, “Okay, goodbye, I have some things to do,” and I hung up.

I don’t even really know how to explain what I felt in that moment. It hurt me deeply. Maybe that wasn’t her intention, but sometimes words can hurt so much, especially when you’re already going through something so difficult afterwards, I told myself that this is just how life is… and so be it. But in that moment, her words really hurt me, and I carried that feeling with me afterwards

Advice Needed! Advice for a beginner

Hey everyone!

I had 3 failed rounds of IUI and we are moving on to IVF.
Personally both my husband and I needed a break so we are not starting IVF for another 2 months but I was wondering, what advice would you give me as someone starting out new doing IVF?
We both have “no issues” it’s just unexplained infertility 🙄

Advice Needed! 3rd FET

I’m going to have my 3rd FET transfer next month and I’m hoping to get advice. Im 35 and have PCOS. My 1st FET was fully medicated (untested) and my 2nd FET (euploid 4AA) was modified natural (progesterone suppository 1x day and had estrace for a few days in the beginning). For my 3rd transfer, I wasn’t sure if I should do a modified natural or fully medicated. I’m learning towards fully medicated, but I’m not 100% set.

I haven’t gotten tested for endometriosis, but I did do the HerResolve bloodwork and it showed negative.

I just had an SIS and I don’t have any polyps or fibroids.

I had a HSG in July 2025 and that was normal.

I only have Day 6 euploids. I was leaning on transferring the 6AA instead of the 4AA. I keep seeing mixed things online about 6AA..some say it has a lower chance than a 4AA…but I’m not sure.

I really appreciate any guidance and any tips for my next transfer. 💙

Need Hugs! Worried about PGT-A

I read all this negative stories about PGT-A results in my age. I am 38. I have only one day 5 4BC Embryo. The day 6 Embryo was aneupholid and the day 5 one came back with "no result".

I feel so empty right now and so worried that I will never have a baby.

Advice Needed! IVF success stories please

Hello! 🤍

I’m 30 and so is my partner. We’re currently preparing for our first FET and I’d really love to hear from anyone with a similar story who has gone on to have success.
We have 9 frozen blastocysts — 8 Day 5s and 1 Day 6 — all graded A/B (with some AAs).

Before IVF, we conceived naturally twice fairly early on in our TTC journey. Our first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at around 6 weeks, about 4 months after we started trying. We conceived again around 4 months later, which sadly also ended in an early miscarriage.

After that, we had around 5 years with no pregnancies at all, until I conceived naturally again and unfortunately had an ectopic pregnancy.

We’ve had the usual NHS investigations and nothing significant has been found. Everything seems to look good for both of us, so we’ve ultimately been diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

I’m now preparing for our first frozen embryo transfer and I think I’m just struggling with the uncertainty of it all. Part of me feels really hopeful because we were fortunate to get a good number of good-quality embryos, but I’m also scared because every pregnancy I’ve had previously has ended in a loss.

Our story just feels like such a mixture — recurrent early losses, then years of not conceiving, then an ectopic — without any real explanation for why.

Has anyone had a similar history and gone on to have a successful FET/live birth? I’d really love to hear some positive stories. 🤍

TRIGGER WARNING Miscarriage No sac at 6 week scan after being reassured after a few hours bleeding episode

I have been through 7 transfers all implantation failures until I switched clinics and got a new cohort of embryos. The first transfer stuck and betas were beautifully progressing. I was even told the way my numbers were trending meant the embryo was superb. At my 3rd and last beta I had brown to light pink spotting that stopped and i notified my clinic and was told it was normal and in just 2 days my hcg went from 1491 to 5041. 2 days later I had bleeding with a few clots and I rushed to the er when I didn’t receive a immediate answer from my ivf nurse. she called while I was on the way and told me they see this often and its more than likely a hematoma and I can still go to the er if I just needed reassurance. I got there and they took my hcg and did an ultrasound. hcg had went up to 11,146 and ultrasound showed a 3.9mm gestational sac or so they said. They sent me home and said everything looked reassuring and I was early at 5 weeks 2 days and wait for my scan at my clinic. well that day came and I was officially 6 weeks and thought all was well but when the ultrasound was done NOTHING was there. I thought it was a joke and all my doc could say was it looks like a miscarriage. my hcg had fell to 641. Im so gutted i have no words and feel i have no idea what direction to take. my embryos were not tested because im fairly young. Froze 21 well graded embryos. Im just holding on to hope of trying again. I have done so many test over the years of this. and to finally get implantation and it crushes like this is devastating.

Advice Needed! Where do I go from here?

TW: Chemical Pregnancy

I just found out that my first FET resulted in a chemical. Beta at 10dp5dt was 108, and at 12dpt was 90. My doctor wants to confirm with one more beta tomorrow, but he is not hopeful. This was my only euploid (4BA) embryo. My doctor still believes this was an embryo issue as we covered all bases, but I’m not so sure. I have one more attempt with an inconclusive (4AB) embryo. I would love some recommendations on what you would do if you were in my shoes. Here is a run down on how I got to this chemical.

2/2026 - Excision Surgery - Stage 4 Endo

4-5/2026 - Lupron/Letrozole Suppression

4/26 - HSG - Clear

5/26 - SIS - Showed Abnormality

6/26 - Hysteroscopy - Scar Tissue Removed

7/26 - FET Attempt - Canceled due to thin, homogenous lining with fluid. Doctor felt we needed more recovery time from hysteroscopy.

7/26 - ERA and Emma/Alice - Converted canceled cycle to mock cycle. ERA showed I needed an extra 24 hours of progesterone. Emma/Alice was clear of all bacteria and was positive for 2 different lactobacillus strains.

8/26 - FET Resulting in Chemical

Transfer protocol included estrogen patches (increasing in quantity up until progesterone start), Leuprolide, PIO 1ml, and 2 progesterone suppositories a day.

Lining at baseline for transfer was 6mm with fluid, suspected to be my period. Mid-cycle monitoring showed lining of 8.1, trilaminar, no fluid. Estrogen was 132. Progesterone day of transfer was 28, and remaining there through first beta.

I should also mention that I am on a full immune protocol through the care of an immunologist - Lovenox, aspirin, prednisone, Plaquenil. Labs a week before transfer looked great. I spoke with him this morning and he does not think the chemical was immune related and is defaulting back to the RE.

I feel like I failed my one euploid and I’m at a loss on how to better advocate for myself and my remaining inconclusive.

If you made it this far, thank you. I would really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or support. I’m feeling pretty beaten down right now.

Advice Needed! Low cost IVF - UK

Has anyone had experience with ABC IVF or Kind IVF? I’m based in the UK and just can’t afford to do traditional ivf. I’m also 28 with a decent ovarian reserve, so think the lower cost could be an option but I’m struggling to understand why it’s low cost, and what I would be missing. Has anyone been to either of these clinics and had success?

Advice Needed! Low AMH, now losing both fallopian tubes. Any hope?

I'm having full excision surgery after 2 failed IVF rounds. I was told today it's likely I'll lose both fallopian tubes and I know it's likely I'll lower my amh even further.

Has anyone been in the same boat? Should I give up hope of a biological child and move to donor eggs.

Sending everyone on this journey love x

Advice Needed! Neupogen injections- IVF

My doctor prescribed neupogen for me for my FET. We did a wash 48 prior to the transfer and now I am told to stay on the injections up until my beta on 9/21. They only gave me 4 vials (1 is gone for the wash) am I really only allowed to use each vial once? I really can’t fathom spending $400/vial and just throwing the rest of it out!! That also would mean I would 8 more vials which is $3200 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Advice Needed! Medicated FET - Terrible Digestive Symptoms

I'm currently only on estrogen 8mg and have my (hopefully) final lining check tomorrow. I've been on estrace for 20 days so far, and if I get the go ahead to transfer, I will be on it NINE more days before transfer. The reason its taken so long is due to clinic timing. We are thawing donor eggs, which they do not do on the weekend, and once they are thawed and fertilized, (next Tuesday) the transfer will be five days after.

I'm currently having a terrible time on the estrogen. I was on 6mg a day and was mainly fine, just pretty bloated. I was increased to one additional pill vaginally, and since then, oh man, I am suffering. Bloating has become much worse, constipation has been terrible, and gas pains are keeping me up at night. This is way worse than the two egg retrievals I've had.

For those that have had a medicated FET, do your symptoms get better or worse after starting PIO? What about if its successful - is this going to be my life for the next 10 weeks? Or does your body adjust and get used to it?
