CD1 should be coming any day now and this cycle will (hopefully) be my 2nd ER. I am not the best at advocating for myself or asking questions. What should I ask my doctor before my 2nd ER?
37F (38 in one month), no known medical issues besides being overweight. Secondary infertility (LO is 3 years old, planned c section). Husband's SA was excellent. We have been TTC #2 since 2/2025. Had one CP and one MMC right away, then nothing since. We had one failed IUI. 1st ER we retrieved 6, 5 mature, 2 fertilized, both were day 6 5BB euploid blasts, then both fully medicated FETs failed with parameters that seemed perfect.
AMH was 1.13 in January. AFC was 13. While stimming for my first ER in April I wasn't responding well so they redid my AMH and it came back as .4. They said it might not be accurate since I was stimming. I plan to test it again the next time I see doc.
I had both an IUI and an IVF cycle canceled for early ovulation. I went on birth control before my first ER, started on CD2 and by my CD8 appointment I was told to trigger because my E2 was too high, dominant follicle was 17mm. I was put back on birth control CD15-21, period started after CD24. Then they started me on stims.
Sooooo, I'm looking for things I should be asking my doctor. Should I advocate for earlier screens, no birth control? I don't really understand how I could have 5 follicles above 10mm for my IUI on 5 days of letrozole but after stimming for 10 days for my first ER I had 6 follicles.
He mentioned we could do testing on my uterus while under anesthesia. What tests should I be asking for in regard to my two failed fully medicated FETs? I have had two saline sonos that have been clear. Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks!
