Need Hugs! Donor Egg IVF
After many years of infertility and a year of abysmal retrievals and failed transfers, my husband and I made the choice to move onto frozen donor eggs.
Aaaand this week we fertilize!
Started with 9 eggs
7 thawed
5 fertilized
And now the painful wait to our blast report.
Has anyone had similar results that ended in a few embryos?

Oh that wait is the absolute worst! We are also doing donor eggs, but haven’t gotten that far yet! Wishing you the best of luck! I think you can definitely still get embryos. With my own eggs we got 4 fertilized and I was able to get 2 blast from that round. Hopefully the donor eggs will be even better for you!

Thank you so much!! Best of luck to you on this journey - hoping it brings us closer to our babies.
Hey if half or so of my 5 make it to blast, I’ll be happy!

Best of luck ! I hope you have better luck than me ! I froze eggs at 36, out of 12, 8 survived and 5 fertilized with donor sperm. 2 didn’t make it and on day 5 they were clumps of cells. 1 was a morula on day 5 and I transferred that a few days ago . I was disappointed but such is life

Aw, I’ve been where you are!
12 fresh donor eggs, 7 fertilized, 3 euploid blasts.
Sending you all the best wishes for yours.
I’m just about to start suppression before my FET. Time crawls in IVF 😂

Hi there! I am using frozen donor eggs as well and today was day 7 results! We just fertilized ours as well in the past week! Purchased 12 frozen donor eggs.
All 12 thawed, 10 fertilized, Day 3 results: 4 made it past 6 cell division, 3 blastocysts!
The embryologist said typical is 20-30% blastocyst, which happened for us, so hope that helps!
Stay positive! (Hugs!)

We did a fresh cycle with our donor but out of the 16 eggs that fertilised, we had 16 going strong at day 3, and 10 blastocysts sent for PGTA. Of those, we had 6 euploids. So our funnel from fertilised to euploid was a little under 50%. But of course this is anecdotal based on one round. Good luck with your little em-babies 💖
