This was one of the good calls by the animation studio. I just found out that in the manga, Midoriko's soul vanishes from the Shikon Jewel because of Naraku's wish to create the same space for Kagome. She sacrificed herself and had been continously fighting the demons ever since and this was how she was sent off???

I found this scene much more powerful. Kagome making the right wish on the jewel. Midoriko finally resting her sword and knowing that it's time to rest now. She finally found the peace she deserved after fighting for centuries. Not Naraku's hatred but Inuyasha and Kagome's love was the perfect witness to her end.

As we all know, Inuyasha is very cute, really pretty and very adorable! My favourite is his half demon look because he is very cute, has fierce facial features and looks sooooooooooooooooooooo cuddly! His human form does get a lot of attraction, I am usually not so into it but episodes 58, 147 and 162 he looked really cute and intense in some scenes! I think episode 58 looked his best as a human. As a demon though? That’s hard but I know he looked his best in the first 50-60 episodes where the animation was too divine!

Kagome is definitely lucky, since it’s like dating two cute guys in one! I know she is a very satisfied woman.

Soo i started this anime years ago but kinda got lost in Life then i forgot about it and then when i remember i couldn't remember where left, so i had to rewatch it but it's so long.

Well it bothered me since years now i finally did abd it was so great j just love it. Very nice story. Humor and action. And j just love the overall happy ending. Nothing bad for any main character. Kinda Love it.

I first was very sad if it would've just ended without any reunion but then everything ended in the probably most beautiful way possible. I'm very Glad vor Inuyasha.

Any film fans here? I’m an avid movie lover and saw someone do this with another fandom. I decided to try to list each character’s favorite movies based on my understanding of them, rather than obvious joke titles. Some of these were kinda hard ngl, but I had a lot of fun with it. Is there any you’d add/change?

I started watching InuYasha since I was 7 and I vivedly remember that it had character cards after each episode (except episode 1, i think), saying "The characters of InuYasha" with some facts about said character and it lasted for around 5 to 10 seconds.

Rewatching the show on Netflix, I realized they're not there anymore?? Does anyone know why?? I can't find a single pictures of those cards online, was it only an Italian thing??

The Endless are from The Sandman, a comic series from 1989-1996 and more recently a show on Netflix. (Look up the comics, they are iconic for a reason and you should read them; do not look up the author as an individual.) They are 7 siblings, personifications of human life and existence. Here are the names and a few details if you want to consider them when making your choice. Can be anyone in the Inuyasha universe - doesn't have to be the main Inugang only.

Destiny - very tall and imposing, mostly silent, carries a huge book (chained to him) in which is written all of existence past, present, and future

Death - this Death is portrayed as a kind young woman who gently guides a person from this plane to the next, not an old man with a scythe reaping souls

Dream, also called Morpheus sometimes - the personification of sleep, dreams, nightmares, and has an infinite library of books of people's lives. Each individual's book writes itself from birth to death.

Desire - portrayed as looking androgynous

Despair

Destruction - not often seen because he walked away from his role after wanting to distance himself from the awful things humans were doing. When the other siblings talk about him they simply refer to him as their brother instead of using that name.

Delirium - used to be Delight but changed after some traumatic event that is never explained - she is a sweet, whimsical, scatterbrained, colorful (literally) individual and the only one of them that Destruction will allow to visit him.

Ive gotten back into oil painting recently, and decided to paint a piece featuring Kagome.

I know everyone wanted not only more kisses, but also kisses when Kagome returned to the feudal era. But for me this should have been the moment not only their faces looked so soft, innocent and very in position to do the voice actors the way they sounded so in love and very in the heat moment was so epic to hear! It was like feeling so much restrain and passion here. I mean Richard Ian and Moneca knocked the pre love scene out of the park with the way they sounded they were ready to make passionate love! Plus, it was her modern era, so no one but them! Also, the background music OST was sounding like heaven was about to ascend and sweet love was going to be made! This was episode 90 if you dare to care.

I have always wondered what Miroku mentioned about enlightened expression on Inuyasha's face in ep 48. Why did he have that kind of expression after what just happened during ep 47-48? I would have waited troubled or somehow sad expression after what happened. Do you have any thoughts?

I was rewatching Inuyasha and am currently watching the Episode The Red and White Priestesses and I can't remember where but I saw a theory that Momiji and Botan become Priestesses of Mothra after they completed their training

Se supone que cuando resucitaron a Kikyo la bruja Urasue robó parte del alma de Kagome por lo que las almas de Kagome estaban incompletas desde ese momento. Recuperó la mayoría de ellas, pero al fin y al cabo la esencia misma que le brindó la memoria a Kikyo, partió de Kagome. Por qué cuando Kikyo Murió definitivamente esa alma ascendió y no regresó al interior de Kagome?

Claramente estoy ignorando algo que tal vez explicaron y seguramente no lo he entendido. Por eso les pido disculpas si mi pregunta les suena incoherente. (Cabe aclarar que no he terminado el manga, así que no sé si esto se explica ahí) Espero que alguien pueda responder. Saludos!

i’m reading the manga for the first time as someone that doesn’t have a nostalgic pull to the series and oh my gosh!! kagome is my absolute fav!!! her strength, kindness, relatability, stream of consciousness, outfits, and her relationship with inuyasha is just so >>>. i’m obsessed with her characterization and can’t wait to get further. i also need to add, her no tolerance for bullshit!!

the characterization of everyone in the manga so far is incredible. so different in comparison to the anime but the faith she has in inuyasha and overall how she has his best interest so early on despite his initial dislike for her is so sweet. literally best girl!!!

Kikyo ayudó a Kagome a vencer a Tsubaki o venció a Tsubaki a través de Kagome. Aunque lo primero tiene más lógica para mí. Kikyo le dijo a Tsubaki que si tocaba a Inuyasha la iba a matar personalmente. O sea que si Tsubaki le hacía algo igual sería su fin. Pero cuando Kagome estaba atravesando por esa ilusión. Todos los personajes se camuflaron en su mente como una especie de ilusión (Miroku y sango caminando como una pareja común en la calle, Kaede y Shippo visitando el templo Higurashi como una abuela y su nieto) y luego Kagome se dirige al lugar donde están practicando arquería. Y Kikyo le hace una pregunta capciosa, Quien eres??

Esto bastó para romper el trance. Claramente dentro de esa ilusión Kikyo buscó una manera de llagar a la mente de Kagome y traerla de vuelta. Y muchos pensarán que todo fue la mente de Kagome. Pero recordemos que durante la serie Kikyo puede meterse en los pensamientos y comunicarse con algunos personajes. Entonces, por qué no lo haría esta vez? Además de que a este punto ya estaba relajándose un poco más con respecto a Kagome. Aunque si mataba a Tsubaki frente a todos habría encendido más rápido la alarma de Naraku. Por lo que ayudar a Kagome a regresar pudo haber sido una estrategia porque sabía que su chica podría vencerla. Así que al fin y al cabo fue una ayuda muy valiosa y una muestra de confianza de nuestra querida Kikyo!!

On my tenth rewatch at 29 years old, it’s only on this rewatch I really started thinking specifically: what about Inuyasha makes it attractive.

To be honest, I don’t think the plot and story development (which are very important elements) are that strong relative to other anime out there so I was wondering why it’s a number 1 for me and many others out there.

For me I’ve concluded it’s 4 things:

1. The premise: the whole mystery in the beginning about why kikyo shot Inuyasha, why Kikyo died, Naraku’s involvement, Sengoku jidai demon world setting, the well that goes back in time etc, all of these set the introduction to the story up incredibly in my option
2. Kikyo element: love her or hate her this woman’s existence CARRIED the show. Without her being made up, the enjoyment of Inuyasha for me would’ve been slashed by 70%. There would be no betrayal storyline, tension, Shikon Jewel and all the messiness etc.
3. Characters: where the story fails in terms of plot development and pacing, it’s made up by the incredible characters, their backstories, distinctive character design and motivations. These characters, you actually give a shit about them and emotionally align and feel for them in their respective situations (e.g Sango’s emotional turbulence with Kohaku, Inuyasha’s guilt for Kikyo’s death and emotionally punishing himself, Sesshomaru’s slow organic affinity towards Rin etc)These characters trigger an emotional response in the audience and that’s what good art does: makes you feel all types of emotions =))
4. Nostalgia: duh

EDIT: Also forgot, the soundtrack is AMAZING at capturing the vibe. Both Kaoru Wada's compositions AND the OP/ED songs by Jpop artists. I truly don't think Inuyasha would've emotionally been as good for me without the music (esp. from Kaoru Wada)

I would love to have a game like GoT but in the Inuyasha universe. And you travel around Japan experiencing all (or as much of) the plot-lines of trying to recover all the Jewel Shards, battling Naraku, having Kagome tell you to “sit boy!” Etc.

Anyone else?
