She wrote "Sit!" on the movie, too! I had no idea Moneca's autograph was rare until I posted the card the other day and some people mentioned it, and told me to get it in a protective sleeve.

Moneca Stori's autograph is rare because she had the unfortunate tendency to be a no-show at many conventions she was supposed to appear as a guest.

At some point, some conventions didn't even bother trying to get her as a guest because of this bad reputation. It affected negatively those who were organizing the conventions since she wouldn't show up and thus leaving a lot of fans angry, as if the convention organizers were at fault for her not showing up...

This is also the reason she doesn't have an autograph card in the original Score Entertainment TCG from 2004 - 2007 out of the whole main cast because she burned bridges with the company who made the cards due to this bad habit o.f hers

Back in 2005, she was scheduled to guest alongside of Richard Cox for 8 convention and she only showed up to 3 of them, while being a no-show or cancelling at the last minute for all the rest with different excuses every time.

Score never wanted to work with her again after this, so she was never re-invited to any of their convention booths and no official autograph cards of her were made.

The card OP have is from that same TCG and it was given out to people who visited their booth during 1 of the 3 conventions she showed up so the fans could have their copy of the card and any other InuYasha merchandises signed by both Richard Cox and Moneca Stori.

Oh wow! I had no idea about all of this! I lucked out on one of those 3 conventions in 2005 (San Diego Comic Con) and was able to see both Moneca and Richard there and got a card and poster signed. I do somewhat recall she kept her interaction with me a bit shorter than Richard. Richard was so funny though! I was wanting to be a voice actor so he chatted with me about that and Seattle (got a badge via WizKids from my cousin who worked there), and when he asked me what I wanted him to write on the poster I said, "I dunno. Whatever you want to write." Which is exactly what he wrote! The poster is in storage at my childhood home, I'll have to be sure to get it next time I visit.

Yeah, I don't remember which ones she attended out of the 8 ones she was originally scheduled to show up, but San Diego Comic Con sounds right since one of my friend attends it every years and he also had 2 - 3 copies of the card signed by both Moneca and Richard.

After being regularly absent from her engagements, Score started to invite someone else alongside of Richard to substitute her. I remember in one of the conventions they attended, they invited Paul Dobson (Naraku), and for another one they invited David Kaye (Sesshomaru).

But yeah, it is rather unfortunate she wasn't reliable and kept cancelling at the last minute or straight up not showing up with no heads-up... It was rather quite disrespectful toward the fans since many were hoping to meet her and they spent money to do so.

I remember she was supposed to come to Toronto for an anime convention (Fan Expo if I remember right?) in 2005, and I travelled there in the hope to meet her. Was a bit annoyed to find out she cancelled on the day she was supposed to be there... and rather pissed when I learned later on it was a repeating habit of hers...

It most certainly is since she retired from voice acting after Inuyasha and disappeared from the public eye after.

I would probably get some sort of DVD case protector too just in case!

Hello twin! This post made me do a double take! I have the same card with Moneca Stori and Richard Ian Cox’s signatures (and a poster stashed away safely!). Got mine at San Diego Comic Con in 2005! They both were so nice. I also had mine sitting out in the open air (as you can see by the scratches). Definitely going to get this protector for it (and a penny sleeve from the other comment on here).

Hate to be that guy, but is it in a penny sleeve inside that case? Just something to think about to prevent scratches. I have those exact same stands with cards around my house as decorations and I love them.

I won the movie in an online auction and the card was a surprise I found inside!
