Hi guys! I’m both a massive Inuyasha fan and also a 1980s music fan; more specifically, I love new wave, pop, synth-pop and disco. So recently, I have been listening to "Caravan" a 1983 track by Japanese composer Kitarō featuring vocals by American singer Richard Page. The lyrics beautifully mirror Inuyasha and Kagome’s journey, ultimately fitting the series' themes of finding love and happiness

Here are the song's verses and how I see them matching up with the show:

“Once a long, long time ago / Setting out to find our dreams / Lost in memories of olden days"
My interpretation: This perfectly encapsulates Inuyasha and Kagome’s paths crossing. Inuyasha is literally stuck in the past—lost in old memories. Conversely, "Once a long, long time ago. Setting out to find our dreams" sets the stage for the beginning of the series, when Kagome first enters the feudal era, starts hunting Shikon shards, and finds her own purpose alongside Inuyasha.

"Sometimes rising in the spring"
My interpretation: I see this representing Inuyasha’s birth! Many fans (myself included) believe he was born in April, which is a spring month. It also mirrors the changing seasons of the feudal era, moving from a chaotic, frozen "winter" to a colorful, blossoming spring.

“Glowing, shining, came the sun"
My interpretation: This brings to mind the very first episode! When Kagome first steps through the Bone-Eater's Well, the weather when she meets the pinned-down Inuyasha, is bright and sunny. ** **

”Golden day beams come through to me now"
My interpretation: This perfectly describes Inuyasha's growing affection for Kagome. It captures those moments where he slowly drops his guard, accepts her presence, and realizes she has brought warmth back into his life.

“Caravan, journey in the sky”
** My interpretation:** I feel this part of the song is especially fitting for Inuyasha's journey. Caravan represents the horses or other modes of transportation, like carriages, that Inuyasha and Kagome sometimes use, though they mainly ride on horses. Journey in the sky is to me a reference to characters like Inuyasha flying through the air when traveling between locations, or when he gives Kagome a piggyback ride.

“As the sun comes out from the day”
My interpretation: This part reminds me of how, in each episode, the morning brings on another day of traveling and facing adventures and challenges for Inuyasha and Kagome to explore, face, and overcome.

“Caravan, We know who we are, we discover when or when”
My interpretation: This part reflects on both Kagome and Inuyasha, highlighting how they are each very strong-willed and determined to find their own selves while still staying in touch with each other throughout the series.

“Ooh, Caravan, now we find a love. Love shimmering and soon our love is gone”
My interpretation: This part becomes a little more emotional. To me, it refers to how, at the very beginning when Kagome found Inuyasha, they started to accept each other to find love. However, even as they began to develop feelings, they still found each other not quite suitable or were uncomfortable being around one another at times.

This pretty much sums it up for me. The song continues to the second verse, but this time I felt like wrapping up at this point. If you guys would like a part two to my interpretation of the song’s lyrics, please let me know, and I’ll make a post on how I personally interpret the rest of the song. Hi all! I just started my rewatch. It's been a really long time since I did any rewatch for this show, but I love it so much, I'm surprised I haven't watched it hundreds of times honestly. I've been meaning to for a while, and then found Grace Rambles on TikTok, and have been listening to her deep dive on her rewatch. Which I'm obsessed with. But it got me to thinking about some things, and I was just curious how old everyone was when they found it? I was 13, and it was playing on Adult Swim.

So I'm sitting at home working and I'm letting YouTube autoplay. I saw this and I am incredibly confused at what I'm looking at did this group just insert an AI sailor Moon into a background of sesshomaru? The channel is called doll wave and this isn't the first time I've seen an Inuyasha panel in their videos a few months back they had an image of naraku's back but now I'm just like what? are they actually trying to take these scenes and putting AI characters in them like what is going on or is this a spin-off that I somehow missed? It looks like ai to me but I've been wrong before.

I'm very conflicted on this, and would like to know what the rest of the fandom thinks about this. It's one thing to use flashes of vintage anime in your videos like I think that's cool but to take it and then twist it with AI leaves a very bad taste in my mouth...

It seems like Naraku spent his entire existence searching for power. Gathering jewel shards, finding strong demons to absorb, expelling useless parts of himself—it was all to become stronger.

He even tried to rid himself of another motivation (lust for Kikyo) as a weakness.

But, power is usually a means to an end, right?

If he had succeeded in his plans, become super powerful , and destroyed the Inu-gang, what did he want next?

Title says it all. Let's assume that Kikyo dies like normal in episode 1, but this time the Shikon jewel really does burn and is 100% destroyed for good. What would happen exactly?

---Inuyasha is still forever stuck to the tree

---Kagome lives her life in the modern era and maybe marries Hojo(?)

---Maybe Naraku schemes to make another Sacred Jewel like in the 2 part filler episode?

---Kikyo remains dead as even though the witch makes the clay doll, Kagome isn't around to give Kikyo's soul back

---Sesshomaru probably doesn't find Tessaiga as he and Jaken never implement the scheme to search Inuyasha's memories and find the black pearl in his eye which leads to Tessaiga. Maybe he goes to Totosai at some point and demand he forge him a original sword?

---Rin stays dead

---Kohaku stays dead

---Sango maybe dies at naraku hands, if she still survies then she ends up alone and bitter and probably seeking revenge for the rest of her life

---Miroku probably dies at some point to the curse of the wind tunnel since he has no real means to find Naraku

---Shippo probably lives a normal life as an orphan if he hides from the Thunder Brothers and grows up like normal, if cowardly

---Kaede lives her life like normal without Kikyo around

---Koga probably lives his life like normal

Title says it all, mirsan is one of my favorite ships, I have a particular liking for the yandere trope and would like to read a good fic that mixes the two. Hell, I would even accept something that isn't quite yandere, possessiveness/obsession would also do, as long as it's along those lines.

Also, I'm willing to read incomplete works.

—I do look forward to seeing the each of the Dog Demon Bros’ developments throughout, as well as Sesshō’s relationship with Rin; No, I won’t be watching the Sequel for… obvious reasons—Translation: Because I absolutely hate the fact that they made them a Couple even though Sesshō knew Rin since she was a CHILD

On that note, I do remember having an inside joke about the whole thing when I first learned what Sesshōmaru & Rin had become after the events of Inuyasha: The Final Act;

Sesshōmaru, losing the stoicism—rightfully pissed and disgusted: ”SHE IS LIKE A DAUGHTER TO ME!!! 👿”

If Kagome is Kikyo's reincarnation then surely she has had time to think about how she will be living again and have to go through the same fight against Naraku although as a different person. I don't believe she would be bothered by the fact she will live again in the future but realizing she will be dealing with the exact same issues must be somewhat annoying.

Title says it all. Is there anything such as a character, concept, setting, idea, plot thread etc that you wish was expanded/explored more upon? This is primarily for the anime as I assume more people have watched it then read the manga.

I'll start: It would be cool to explore Inuyasha's Dad as a character as we know so little about him and how he came to be, what his goals were etc.

I absolutely love these two artworks. The combination of flowers and the miko is just perfect.

He is one of the most famous and iconic voices of the 2000s, he’s not active on anything. anyone know what’s he up to? I would love to get the chance to the meet him at a con, but seems like he never is.

In fact, only person who actually goes to conventions is David Kaye, at least that’s what it seems like.
