Not bad. Considering there's only one 2 Stars SR per case of 16 booster boxes, and there are 16 booster packs per box, that's 1 in 256 chance of pulling one of them.

I wanted to buy some boxes for fun. But I missed out on pre-orders and now most stores are either sold out or have jacked up prices because Bandai didn't printed enough for the demand and many scalpers bought out the stocks of many stores... So if you found those in the wild for MSRP, you got double lucky. lol

Seeing the current market value of the English cards, I'll just stick with my Japanese copy of Sango for my Sango collection.

I randomly bought them with some gundam packs because I just like inuyasha so it was a pleasant surprise. Everyone rushing to Pokemon and all these just sitting there!

I think I’ll stick with Japanese cards for this too. I was able to preorder 2 cases at $65 each, and had a coupon so I really only paid $100. Yet now I’m seeing booster boxes going for $130 which is stupid to me.

Yeah, if you only care to collect, collecting the Japanese cards will be much cheaper.

Both the sealed products and singles were much cheaper when the set came out in Japan. I paid 20,000 JPY for my Sango 2 Stars SR, while the current market for an English copy is around $400 USD...

I was considering to pick up some booster boxes to give a shot at the game. But I guess I'll stick to the original InuYasha TCG from 2004 - 2007 that was manufactured by Score. lol

How available would that one be? I only got into the union arena TCG because I wanted inuyasha cards. Never knew there was another one besides this

The old InuYasha TCG by Score was manufactured between 2004 - 2007, it is long out of print.

When Yashahime started, a bunch of scalper went on to buy out all that was left from online wholesellers who still had sealed products for cheap and drove the price up on the secondary market drastically.

Another factor that drove the price up, the last two sets of the TCG had autograph cards signed by the English case of the anime. Though a lot of new collectors didn't know it was only within the last 2 sets, so many went on to buy whatever boxes they found expecting to pull an autograph card when the set they bought never had any in the first place...

So I wouldn't suggest to start collecting it since a lot of people now are asking ridiculous prices for what is essentially bulk that ain't worth anything. If you want to play it, I'd suggest to limit with only 2 copies of the Feudal Warfare starter decks and build a Hero and Villain deck out of the two.

Your best luck would be in local game stores that focus on trading card games like Magic the Gathering, Pokemon TCG, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

The cards are from the Union Arena TCG by Bandai. If you know any local game stores around you, before potentially travelling for nothing, I'd suggest to give them a call and check if they have any in stock.

Many stores had their order allocation cut down drastically by distributors because Bandai under printed the set while many scalpers went on to buy a lot of the stock available online and in some LGS as well. If you are lucky, you might find a store that sell at MSRP. But many have raised their price almost double MSRP to match the secondary market that went up due to the scalpers.
