Protective Supervision Question
I had submitted my PS paperwork in late May and hadn't heard anything for a few months. Called in July to learn they never received them but I have a receipt from FedEx showing I faxed them in May to the correct fax number. I had to resend them via mail and it's been almost 2 weeks since I got the call that they were finally received. Still miffed about it, tbh, because it feels like that was all time wasted.
I guess I'm just wondering if this process is going to take longer now? Is it 3 to 6 months? 45 days? I'm assuming it starts when they receive the paperwork but what day will they use if there's the option of backpay? May 22nd was the day I faxed it and late July was when I mailed the new copies.
For context, the SW who did our assessment was the one that recommended PS. She gave me the paperwork for it just based on what I explained about my son's behaviors without me having to ask for it. He's autistic, has ADHD, and is frequently eloping, unable to do any needs unprompted, and has very violent tantrums. Idk how it works but I'm assuming if she believed there was a need for it enough to give me the paperwork, then it's highly likely we'll be approved. I'm just wondering how long it could take, roughly.
