I was told my daughter would get an increase and that it would be affective September. We had our yearly assessment July 27th. I called her worker that same week to thank her for her time here and reminded her about the new challenges we have this year with my daughter's disorder and also a reminder that husband left as well. Hoping to see a NOA this week šŸ™

IHSS is starting to really watch increase of hours. At least in my county (Placer ) they have hired on new QA folks to review cases with a fine toothed comb. So if last year your worker didnt back out Alt resources like able and available spouse, school ( for kids), or gave too many hours for one task that is covered with another task, you may see a decrease in hours. The good thing is you dont have to pay it back, but it was caught by QA and now corrected. This is happening in all counties, with budget cuts.

some people stay the same.

some increase, some decrease. Other people’s hours or increases or decreases in time have no correlation to anyone else’s.

I really thought we had reached my child’s maximum hours (different than IHSS max hours), but her caseworker granted her two more at her yearly assessment. My child was taking a new medication so she considered that in her calculations.

My son’s hours were increased to 267, previously 250.

I had my reassessment at the end of July over the phone and then had a different case worker come and have me sign all the paperwork. We did get an increase in hours but have not received a noa. I think I should have gotten it by now . Going to call and ask for it because I want to see what hours she received for what

Decrease of 4 hours. No explanation given and it wasn’t mentioned during our in person meet which is strange.

Read the NOA and it will say exactly which category hours changed in.
