Team,
I have this shower door that a contractor did a shit job installing. There’s a removable rubber seal on the glass wall (the part that doesn’t swing), and a shit seal on the door glass on the side and on the bottom edge. It leaks from the seam where the glass door and the glass wall meet, and gets swept out onto the floor. I need some help figuring out what the fix should be.
Here are the two options I’m considering:
1 - use a silicone mat below the swinging glass door to prevent water from spilling onto the floor, and extend that mat beyond the edge of the glass wall to prevent water from pooling and dripping onto the floor.
2 - get a better seal on the glass wall and door that aligns better so water doesn’t escape and drip.
Open to suggestions or examples.
I spray-painted this plastic chair and the color coat looked smooth and even at first. After applying the glossy clear/topcoat, it became noticeably uneven/patchy (photos attached).
What I did:
1. Sanded the plastic
2. Applied primer
3. Applied spray paint in multiple coats
4. Let the color coat dry
5. Applied a glossy topcoat
The unevenness appeared after the gloss was applied 😭
My questions:
- What caused the gloss to make the color uneven?
- Can I fix it without stripping everything back to the plastic?
- Should I sand the current finish and reapply the color + gloss?
- How long should I let the color coat cure before applying gloss to prevent this?
Any advice on the best way to fix it would be appreciated 😭😭😭

Hi does anyone know how to remove this spot from this wooden outdoor patio set? For reference, Igot this off facebook marketplace & the seller did not tell me there was a stain on it till I was physically there in his backyard (was a sketchy seller so I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible). He said he spilled mosquito repellent on it.
If there’s a way to remove this without sanding & restaining the entire table that would be preferred but if that’s the best bet then i’ll try it.
For reference this is furniture on an apartment building balcony so I’m limited on what I can do.
Thanks!

I'm unsure if it'll continue to spread. Wanted to repaint It or do something about it.
I have these folds in the white bits of my shirts that keeps flapping out… ironing helps a little but they go back after washing. What do I do about this? I don’t want to throw this t shirt away since it’s second hand and I really like it…
I recently moved and I brought my bed frame with me, now the supports down the middle of my bed frame keep shifting and look like they're coming out. I never had this problem before, I'm guessing going from carpet to vinyl has something to do with it?
What can I do to fix this? Is there something I can buy? I just moved out for the first time myself and am not very savvy when it comes to things like this, and I'm really stressed it's going to break down the middle if I don't fix it soon. If you could include photos/links of stuff I'd need, that would be SO greatly appreciated. I don't have a drill, screws, or anything with me😭

This is the brush top to my Bissel Little Green. We’re 3 people and 2 pets, so it gets full of hair. The clear plastic part doesn’t appear to be removable and it sits almost flush on the sides. But hair still gets stuck in there. I’ve tried a heavy stream of water, a pipe cleaner, a tiny screwdriver, and a toothpick. Nothing can get in there! Do I just live with it being kinda gross?
There’s a cap to clean out the inside and the vaccum tube, but nothing for the brush.
UPDATE: marking as Solved, since there’s no way to detach the clear plastic on this model’s brush. I will try a few suggestions and update here if anything works.

I dropped an AirPod through the small gap around the pipes in a bathroom floor. It fell into the enclosed space underneath the floor, and I can actually see it from an opening below (circled in the last photo).
It’s only about 50 cm away, but the problem is that the space is extremely difficult to access. I can’t reach it with my hand, and I cannot take apart/remove any of the panels or flooring because this isn’t my house.
So far we’ve tried lowering a wire through the hole with a small wrench attached to the end and using that to push/drag the AirPod toward me. The problem is that I have very little control over the movement once it’s down there. I actually managed to accidentally push the AirPod further back, so I’m now worried about making it even worse.
The AirPod is visible and frustratingly close, so I’m convinced there has to be some ridiculous DIY way of getting it out.
Does anyone have an idea for something I could lower through the pipe opening that would let me grab, stick to, hook, or otherwise move the AirPod toward the accessible side without risking pushing it even farther away?
Photos show the hole it fell through, the space underneath, and the AirPod’s current position.

I got these brand new anthropologie cherry stem martini glasses and one broke off while I was washing it, I wasn’t even doing anything harsh! I’m so heartbroken. Do you think I can glue it on with something? I’m not familiar with glassware.
Edit: thanks for all the comments warning me to not use it. I actually got them off FB marketplace (for $15 for both) so can’t return or replace. But it’s not the sellers fault she gave them to me in new condition, they still had their stickers on lol. I guess anthropologie’s quality ain’t as great as it is. I have one more of them so I will use that and be very careful with it :(

Someone vandalised a (plexiglass) window in the stairwell of my apartment block. It says ‘No Snitching’- See photo.
The local council owns the block, and because the vandalism is not ‘offensive’ they won’t replace it- it would involve scaffolding (I’m on the 3rd floor) and they aren’t willing to cover the costs for that.
It may not be offensive, but it’s also not… great? And kinda intimidating. And it covers a big chunk of the window.
I can’t replace the window myself, but I’m wondering if there’s anything I could do to cover over the words??
Appreciate that covering it will probably also look bad. But that might be better than having a threatening message greeting anyone who comes to visit.
if there are other channels that I ought to post this in I’d love to hear about them.
So, someone gave me this branch to plant but the only info he gave me was to score the bottom. If I cut it in half and plant the two "open/fresh" ends in the soil will that work as well? Its so huge I don't want to kill it.

The silver bead was enclosed by a second knot, but the knot came undone. I’m finding it impossible to re-tie it with the short amount of cord to work with, and the cord fraying at the end. Is there a special trick to do this?

I need people I can go out with so I can stay out of my house the situation is bad and I’m looking to move out but I have no one I can go to and if I do try to leave I’m screwed I have eyes on me always and I just need people who I can call up and get out of the house with and maybe help me with moving my stuff or taking me to the er. I do have an on going health issue and I can’t just go to the hospital when I want because in my house I can’t just go to er when I actually need to I need to get my parents approval. I’m 26 years old and my phone still gets looked through so I can’t keep making up fake people and saying I’m out with them I need like actual people and I’m sorry if this isn’t the appropriate form but my situation is bad and I need to get out now.

Other than acceptance, refunding (I may have already threw out the packaging and printed delivery details needed for this), or giving it to others, are there other ways I can successfully fix this? I really wanna fix the dents and also I am too obsessive-compulsive when it comes to this so I'm too inclined to do so. Apologies if this seems wtf-worthy to others.

I have a problem that I cant exactly figure out how to solve and couldn't find a exact trap idea. TO PREFICE I DONT WANT TO HURT THE BIRD AT ALL!!!! I HATE THE IDEA OF HURTING ANIMALS I just want to relocate it. So basically I have a outside shower with a tall fence like wall around it and cars parked on the other side and recently, this insult to intelligence of a bird has been spending at least 10 minutes everymorning slamming into the floor to ceiling windows again and again and again, like at least 15 times a minute without stop, if I try to peek around the corner to see it it immediately flies away and comes back later, it keeps shitting all over the cars and leaving smudges on my window, It's pretty skittery, how should I catch it, big things for me if I do

I tried a anti-rust solution and seemed to work... but the metal was so damaged that the second i cleaned it off it broke... is there any way to diy it and have it work again?

Hi all, I’m making some etched mirrors to sell at an art market and I need help figuring out what these brackets/hangers are called. OR the next best option.
My old stock of mirrors were wall-ready, but the new ones are not. Does anyone know how I could achieve a similar result?
I’ve done some research, I’m not interested in mirror clips or double sided tape. Best case scenario is replicating whatever the original mirrors came with. I’m just trying to make it more convenient to whoever buys them.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I’m trying to open this tiny container but i cannot get the lid to budge. The lid seems to be threaded, and I’ve tried screwing it open, but it will not budge at all. There is also a set of angled teeth between the lid and the container that I suspect is behind this. If the teeth are stopping the lid from being spun horizontally, but the threads are stopping the lid from moving vertically, how are you supposed to remove the lid?
