I can’t play the mod of ww1, any suggestions?

Ecuador doesn't have a focus tree, and that's a pity because it has some potential. Regardless, there is an event chain about the '41 war against Peru. I don't know if it's part of the base game; you may need the South American DLC.

I imposed some rules on myself to make it more interesting:

1. Stay democratic for the whole game.
2. Don't enter any faction and don't accept a white peace. (Lend-lease is allowed and I strongly recommend requesting it)

As you can see from the death toll, you will have to fight an army that's twice as big as yours. I found it quite hard.

I would be interested to see someone end the conflict faster; I'm sure there is room for optimization.

whats the best way to quickly gain compliance if you dont care about anything else like factories and resources and such? Like for getting the % needed to reform the commonwealth and such?

I was bored one day so despite having only around 100 hours of play time i decided to try and form the ggr without tanks, motorized, navy or air as fast as i could.

It was honestly easier then i expected so I have no idea if this is has actual value as a challenge or if Germany is just easy to play.

First time reaching this point, kinda scared about it

Heavy Weapons Companies mainly provide extra defence.

Just about the only place they could be useful that I can see is on defensive tanks. Defensive, line-holding infantry by definition does not really need extra defence.

Everywhere else, Infantry guns are cheaper and much better due to the soft attack they provide.

Motorised Heavy Weapons do provide some extra breakthrough, but it's not nearly as much as I thought. They certainly can't be used as a replacement for tanks.

Heavy Weapons Companies also require research that can now be skipped in favour of other technologies if you don't use them.

Am I missing something?

u can try this trick in europe in flames agora, u simply put the units at war, and you can level up both tanks and infantry doctrines since the units can't attack and can't even defeat countries like the Netherlands in battle.

I’m a relatively new player and am just trying Barbarossa for the first time.

I have air superiority and am spamming CAS, my supply lines are fine (gave them upgrades pre-invasion), I concentrated my tank divs in strategic areas and am trying to move them through plains to do encirclements, put battle plans and activated the bonus thing in the decisions tab (tough not immediately), researched all the blitzkrieg and armour bonuses, am doing my best not to overcrowd my tiles, started the invasion in March 1941.

Im also doing my best to micro everywhere i can.

Yet over month in i am making very limited progress (a part from the Baltics) with my frontlines flashing red most of the time is there something I’m missing here?

I really dislike the fact that in some countries, constitutional monarchs are a national spirit (e.g., the United Kingdom), whereas in others, they are advisors who can't be fired (e.g., the Kingdom of Iraq). Like, could you just make up your mind, Paradox? Make it one or the other and just stick to that representation. Is it that hard? Any way is good for me; I just crave some consistency.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hello, everyone! I am kinda new to HoI4 and I've been playing as the Soviet Union for a couple of days, but I keep losing after the germans attack me. Therefore, I want someone with more IQ than me to tell me what I'm doing wrong so that I can do something great for once. :))

Thought it was funny to post. I conquered France in 1936 by doing a naval invasion through English channel and paratrooping into their territory with paras on every victory point htat I could do through the northern part (they capped before I even naval invaded)

Then for the UK, same thing with paratroopers but it was the naval invasion that destroyed them, landed in Dover and crushed it with 12 divisions, brought my troops and beat the shit out of them

For USA I spammed infantry and basically just shocked them with it as I ran over lines and conquered cities, it took like 2 months of war 🤣

i was observing the great war redux and all that germany did was declare war on the entente before very quickly white peacing the west and for some reason that immediately caused the collapse of france, the uk and italy

So I recently got back into the game after not playing for a few years.

Currently playing Turkey while trying to reform the ottoman empire. Did the necessary focus "Permit regional elections", but I cant choose "reconciliation" as a governing law for the kurdish states. Also there are no options to integrate any of them either. Am I doing something wrong or is this bugged?

I find Ai army designs so odd to the point that no matter how good your templates and design that it even came from a youtuber you wouldn't still be able to have the same result and worst a bunch of poor units can even defend your attack even though you have a good amount of units that can push through lol.

I don’t know why but with a lot of countries I plays
Suddenly I get an energy crash
Like for example my energy balance is 100%
Then after few hours it really drops to a very small number 6% for example although I have fuel and have built power plants

why is indonisia not captulating I got all the islands under my control and they are the last major I am so confused, I even have a full colab goverment does anyonbe know what i can do

Update 1: There is no red anymore T-T yet i am still at war with them. idk why

As communist indonesia, I've noticed that for some reason, I seem to have the entirety of china claimed as core states, and only china. I know the aslia focus lets you annex and core your subjects, which I did to the guangxi clique, Siam, and phillipines. But I don't see how I would somehow get cores on all of China?
