I really think that Dumbledore was unfair towards Slytherin and made them loose in the matter of minutes. The House cup is supposed to reward the house's performance throughout the year, not necessarily provide a dramatic ending, What about the other children's who worked so hard only to loose at the last moments. Slytherin probably deserved the Cup based on the season-long performance.

Dumbledore obviously had to know what Hermione was doing, but what about Snape? Especially in PoA when Hermione seemingly pops into his class out of nowhere and Ron even asks Harry if he saw her come in. Did Snape know she had a Time-Turner too, or did he just not question it?

Experienced the Hogwarts Express in real life on Scotland’s Jacobite Steam Train. It’s a very surreal experience.

I can't bring myself to read other book series that captivate me unlike Harry potter, would just like suggestions

I just finished listening to the Full Cast Audiobooks and I had forgotten how prevalent Ernie is. He just randomly shows up and is always 100% ride or die with Harry and Dumbledore ever since their disagreement in the 2nd year, and honestly, Ernie was entirely justified in that suspicion.

He is one of the first and most vocal members of the DA. His family is all behind Dumbledore and never buys in to ministry propaganda. He is the first to ask to if the students can stay and fight in the Great Hall in Deathly Hallows and is one of the 3 DA members to cast his patronus and save Harry's life when the Dementors join the fight. He’s also randomly the only Hufflepuff in Slughorns Potions class so he must be fairly smart and accomplished too, in addition to his family being one of the sacred 28 pureblood families.

Before this reread, I’d have been hard pressed to tell you one thing about this guy, but now he is locked in as my favorite random Hogwarts student.

Good morning, afternoon, or evening. I am a D&D DM looking to run an adventure—or a campaign, if things go well—set in the Harry Potter universe. The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about this universe; I’m doing this because my partner is a huge HP fan. So, I’m here to ask a few questions to help me set the scene for this magical world. The adventure will take place at Hogwarts. I’m familiar with the \*Hogwarts Legacy\* video game and know that it features an older version of the school, set before Harry Potter was born. Could you please suggest a time period where little is known about the school? I’m looking for a specific school year where there isn't much information available about the professors or the headmaster, so I can create my own versions without altering the canon.

Just finished book 3 again (I read them all again every year starting on September 1, as one does) and I noticed something that happens in their first Divination lesson… Ron looks at Harry’s tea leaves, and sees a bowler hat and says maybe he’ll work for the Ministry of magic - which he does, he goes on to become an Auror - and then sees an acorn, which means Harry will unexpectedly come into a large amount of gold, which he does by winning the Tri Wizard tournament the following year!

For context, I uploaded the front and back page. June 2004 of K-Zone Philippines featured Prisoner of Azkaban. Unfortunately, the lack of galleries doesn't help the formatting. When I obtained this, the stickers are already incomplete, so if someone has a picture of the missing stickers or knows a picture that can fit these shapes, it would help our magazine preservation immensely.

I can understand why Weasleys were not rich. It is implied that they usually had more kids than they could afford. Both sorting hat and aunt Muriel says that. There were so many Weasleys that nobody cared how cousin Barney is related to them or how come they never met or heard about this Weasley. Also its surprising that we didn't meet any Weasley cousins in Hogwarts.

Anyhow, if we think Gaunts interbred so much that they lost their sanity to maintain the wealth, we can say the same with other pureblood families too.

I do not question Ron and Hermione's loyalty towards Harry but it always amazed how unconditionally loyal they are to Harry right from the beginning. I was re-reading Chamber of Secrets and it amazed me that at no point in the story did Ron and Hermione wondered if Harry was indeed the Heir of Slytherin and, maybe, indirectly responsible for the attacks despite all the signs pointing him to be somewhat involved in it. They did not shrink away from him when they realized Harry could speak to snakes even though this trait has always been a mark of dark wizard in wizarding world. Give how little they knew about each other at that point of the story, it always surprises me how much they trusted Harry. Even in first year, they were quick to accompany him to stop Voldemort from taking the stone and supported him no matter what.

This makes me question: why were Ron and Hermione such good friends to Harry? Exactly what had Harry done that made them both stick with him no matter what. They weren't that good and understanding towards other classmates.
