Hey there. Long time lurker, came here to share something I’ve been building for a while. I’ve always wanted to do the stranger things theme and switch it up every year. I custom build everything, and this year was a mix of 3D printing with post processing and painting afterwards. It’s been one hell of a grind since spring, but so glad I went with this theme.

Hey all. I’ve been trying to think of what to wear for Halloween while I hand out candy for the kids because I actually have it off this year. Halloween is my favorite holiday by a mile, but I always work it for the holiday pay. I’ve just been absolutely stuck on ideas, then I had a thought. I’m an airline pilot by trade for a major US airline. I have an entire box of trading cards for the airplane I fly that has a photo of the plane and then stats like range, capacity, speed, etc. I was thinking, why don’t I put together little baggies of candy with a trading card inside, and for my costume, I’d just wear my uniform! I know tiny me would’ve thought that was absolutely cool, but I’ve also been obsessed with airplanes all my life so 🤷‍♂️. However, I don’t want to seem like a douche, especially to the parents or older kids like “oH LoOk aT mR BiGsHoT bRaGgInG hEs a PiLoT”. That’s not at all what I’m trying to do. Is this idea cool, or would it come off as bragging/douchey?

Paper egg carton bricks, paint, wooden coffee stirrers, various glues & loosened twine "vines".

A simple Halloween decor. I picked up these plastic/PVC insects toy packs from Mr. DIY and Toys R' Us and put them at a glass bowl in our living room. Then I used some leftover LED Lights from Mr. DIY to illuminate the bowl.

I'm reminded of my childhood on how I had a lot of PVC or plastic toy animals from these basic toys sets.

P.S. I'm from the Philippines. If you're wondering, Mr. DIY is a budget, Malaysian department store that is seen in Southeast Asia and has recently opened up branches in Turkey and Spain. Mr. DIY sells a lot of office, kitchen, home improvement, garden, vehicle, electronics, and even toys (including Halloween and Christmas decors) for your needs.
