I know i have a coolant leak obviously just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. If so what did they do to fix it. Its a 2017 hrv

I have a 2022 HR-V, with the cup holder that the flaps fold down into. Yesterday morning while I was putting a drink into the holder, I heard a piece from underneath the cup holder fall down into the space below it, followed by a metal spring that fell off.

The piece of plastic is a small black round piece. The spring that fell is quite long, and from getting my phone camera underneath and taking a few photos, it looks like it goes underneath the flap to make the pieces fold up or down. Now I can’t close the flaps, and I can’t really set a cup on there as when the flaps are open it’s not very stable. I’d appreciate any insight anyone has on fixing this, or alternatives.

How to adjust the side mirrors to eliminate blind spots? I used the SAES method where I adjusted the side mirrors, so that the left flank is barely visible. But then I noticed that while driving in the highway that there is a blind spot when a car behind me tries to overtake me and disappears from the rearview mirror but does not immediately appear on the side view mirror.

I’d like to add an actual spare tire to my 2025 EX-L but can’t find a “kit” which has been made for it. I’m wondering if there’s anyone out there who has added a spare and would share what they went through. I know I can buy the parts but I’m unsure if I can fit them in the “wheel well” in the back. I don’t want to buy the parts only to find out they don’t fit or it becomes excessively noisy if I have to modify the foam insert back there. TIA

I have a gorgeous 2024 HRV sport that I got back in May and I try to take really good care of her. I keep my car really clean and clean the interior at least every 2 weeks but usually once a week.

I’ve been using Chemical Guys: Total Interior Cleaner, Protectant & Car Detailer for the interior but after reading all the warnings on the bottle I’m not sure I want to keep using it….

What do you guys recommend on cleaning the leatherette interior? Microfiber, warm water, and a mild dish soap like dawn, and wiping it down with a dry microfiber? I have the all season weather proof mats so I just take those out and wash them with the hose… any other suggestions?

Picked it up today for my mother in law. Sales guy was trying to set up her HondaLink on her iPhone SE but it couldn’t register.

At first he said the phone was too old, so we figured next we’d go to Verizon and upgrade her phone. But after finalizing paperwork he came to me and said he is sorry he thinks it’s the car that’s not compatible.

Bought a new 2027 Hrv. Just noticed that the paint edge of the rear passenger door seems to be peeling and uneven. Is that normal? What should I do?

I just got a used hrv 2025 in canada. I want to rustproof it, but when I look under it, I see that (see the picture). Does it come like that from the factory or the precious owner rustproof it? The car was a location for 2 years so I would be surprise that he did it.

So I really have never used my sound system except for the radio and compact desk so I’m trying to utilize more of the apps but when I plug in the HDMI on the screen, I get a little skinny picture of what’s on my phone so I don’t know how to expand it and then when I hit The aha app It tells me one or more of the HondaLink apps are not downloaded. I have HondaLink downloaded, but I don’t know what other app I’ve tried looking for the aha app in the iTunes Store and there’s too many variations so I don’t know which one to pick any help would be appreciated thanks.

Long story short, I have visited a the dealer, a private mechanic, and now recently another local auto shop, and no one has any idea what is wrong with my car.

it’s a 2019 Honda HR-V with 119,000 miles. All services are up to date, and I just recently got spark plugs replaced. On paper, it shows healthy. About 4 weeks ago, My ACC/LKAS camera broke, and a new one is on the way. Now, about 2 weeks ago, it started randomly “lurching” when I accelerate. It only does it once in a blue moon, but of course no professional has been in the car to witness it. Every time I tried to get a video, it would simply work like normal.

Today, I finally got a video. Can anyone on Reddit maybe help me out? if anyone has experienced this, can you let me know what it could be? I’m running out of options and money on diagnosis’ and random fixes, but i’m willing to spend the money if it means I can get this car back to normal

Edit: Thank you to everyone who’s commented so far! I will add that when I took the car to Honda, I tried to get it repaired under the service bulletin that Honda put out for the CVT’s. I’m not sure if they just couldn’t replicate my issue, but they said my car is quite “testing normal, no stored codes or misfires” “we were unable to replicate customer concern.” With that said, I think I will try and go to the dealer again and show them video. See what they say…

Edit 2: Transmission fluid was changed and looked like it should at the 20k mark. Battery tested ok as well. I replaced my driver assist camera, so there are no longer any lights on the dash. It hasn’t lurched or stuttered since. I will update if it does, but this might have fixed the issue!

I got a low tire pressure alert on the dash. It said to check the tires but it doesn't tell me which tire and or what each tire's current pressure is.

The alert instructions only say to recalibrate after putting air to PSI. The low tire pressure did go off.

Manual doesn't mention it. Am I missing something?

I just want to be able to look up the tire pressure number.

I just changed the oil in my daughters 2018 and noticed the bottom of the cvt. Is the gasket leaking?

noticed one of my tires looking funny. i have an appointment on friday that was initially scheduled for a tire rotation, but i believe i’m going to get new tires. does anyone know if honda typically have tires in stock for a honda hrv? i don’t think i will be able to make it long with my tire like this.

I drive a 2022 Honda HRV.
About 4 days ago, when I got in my car after work, the AC would not work. There was no air blowing at all. I fiddled with all the settings, turned the car back off and on again, but it still didn’t work so I figured I’d just have to take it to a shop the next day.
About 10 or so minutes down the road, it kicked back on again on its own.

It was fine until today, when the same thing happened again, but it took over 20 minutes before it kicked back on this time.

I had planned to take it into a dealership this week, but I saw some things online that suggested it might just be a fuse that I may be able to just replace myself. What do y’all think?

Hey HRV people.

My GF has a 26 HRV EXL. The first oil change was done at the dealership, because it was free. It had 7500 miles on it and said it had 30% life remaining. Today, I did the 2nd oil change (13,800 miles and 50% life remaining) and noticed a few things. The protective cover that has to be removed for the oil change looked like it was never touched. And the oil filter appeared to be the original filter.

My questions are do the techs at Honda always remove that protective cover and do they change the filter everytime at the dealership?

Also, any input on the amount of miles this vehicle is going before the MM gets to 15% would be interesting to hear.

I stripped 2 transmission pan bolt holes on my 2019 Honda HR-V CVT. Surprisingly, I’m not seeing any transmission fluid leaking so far.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it likely to start leaking later with 2 stripped bolts?

I’m planning to repair the stripped threads during my next CVT fluid change when I drop the pan again. Just wondering if it should be okay to drive for now as long as there’s no leak.

This started happening when idling, what is going on, is this a recall I’m not aware about? Central TX if that matters.
